Petrol and diesel pumps are different diameters, if you put a petrol put in the tank will sense the size of the nozzle and shut off the tanks in theory no petrol should go in at all, or at least a very minimal amount. Of course if you don't push the pump fully in, the system will no sense it is the wrong pump and keep the tank open.
yeah... on the dash in the options, there is a setting to allow 'global window open" or something similar to that... Well that's what is like on the XE... guess it's the same for the XF
Thanks, got it done by a local signage company, just sent them picture of what I wanted and they custom designed it and installed it. You could probably get someone online, but the quality is likely to be poor so will fade over time and you will have to install yourself so likely to peel, so generally a waste of money. Just contact a local signage / car wrapping company and they should be able to do it.
Yes that would be ideal wouldn't it, I remember my first car was a 10+ year old Renault Clio with dents and cigarette burns! costing £200. After a year I got a 2 year old Seat Ibiza, only reason I could get that is because I saved up.
Just do what I did, find a new one at auction with minor damage/issue (they go for cheap compared to retail value) and fix it slowly by yourself or take it to a shop. I got the car when I was 15 and now I’m 18 still enjoying it!
Thanks for this. Hi sir. Could you please help me with this. What are the condition of my husband to take his test in my car, and what should he take with him to test? What dcuments and is it compulsory to take a reat view mirror ? Many thanks in advance
www.gov.uk/driving-test/using-your-own-car Those are the rules. Officially it says to bring an additional interior mirror, however in practice the examiner will normally supply one. on the other hand... if the examiner does not have a spare mirror, for what ever reason, the test will not go ahead. Plus, imo, it looks better to come fully prepared with a mirror.
@@UKDrivingTest thanks for replying, we will get one just to be on the safe side, what about the document that we need to take with us please? I checked your channel but didn't find anything about this! Will be good if you can make a video about this topic in the future.
It is a '65 plate, early 2016. Does not have keyless entry, only keyless drive. Never had a car with keyless entry, but assume you can disable it, probably a requirement when building the cars, for security reasons etc.
Hi, thanks for the video. I have one question, I drive a Diesel too, a 2017 R-Sport, how do you set the display to show temperature and tank levels? Thanks!
For me that seems the standard setting and your can't change it, after all knowing engine temperate and fuel level is quite vital (assume those are your things you mean)
@@UKDrivingTest mine is a 2017 Diesel R-Sport. I love it, I really like how the suspension literally grabs the surface when taking corners on the highway so I can take them faster losing less speed.
The traction reduction tip is awesome, thank you!!!
Our house is up a sloped tight awkward drive so this is really going to help
Glad it was helpful!
Regular subscribers - This is just a bonus video I wanted to make, video of the normal nature to follow on Tuesday :-)
Hello. Can you explain what the camera icon button is or thats to the left side of the screen?
Nice video. The anti wrong fuel tool odd, still needs be pumped out.... So if you know you've done it I don't quite get it

You’d like to think that just getting the tool out would be enough of a reminder to check what ya doing! 🤞🏽
Thank you for this awesome video, that all surface button was very helpful, aswell as the wrong fuel tool. Will be subscribing 👍🏼
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for that
I'm going to be owning the Vauxhall Vectra VXR
Appreciate this video..things I did not know at all.
This is my first car just a lower spec 35t r-sport
I wouldn't call that a "lower spec" for a first car.
It's one of the best Jaguars out there..
I have a 2020 XE s does the car have to be started to rolls down the window by remote
no
Thanks.
Thanks - my F Pace has all / most of these features
I would expect so, they are basically the same car just different body shape.
I have an 2016 XF R SPORT, how do I do the windows up and down,do I need to do a setting on the dashboard first?
yeah... on the dash in the options, there is a setting to allow 'global window open" or something similar to that...

Nice one! The one thing that annoys me is that my 2019 XE doesn't have android Auto. Apparently the release is delayed. Wish they would hurry up!
This is peculiar.. my I've had apple carplay and android in my 17 XE for over 2 years now !
I did have to take it to the dealer to get the update though, it would not work over the air.
where did you get the project 8 decal on the side? looks sick man

When I can drive, I hope I can afford a car that's less than 7 years old (anything above 13 or 63 plates)

My first car was a Red Nissan Micra 2001, now I have a Jaguar XE R-Sport 68 plate, after 4 years.
My first car was a Volkswagen polo 1997. Monday my XE r-sport 19 plate is getting delivered, cant wait.

How did that go Annabel
what are the little handles attached behind the steering wheel?

Thanks for this.

At a guess that looks like 15/16 model? If so does it have keyless entry? And can it be turned on and off?

Do you know if the 2016 xe model has an extra battery for the start stop system? Or just one battery for the car.
The car filmed is a 2016 XE, there is an extra battery, however it is in the boot, so not sure if that is to do with the electric boot opening.
Thanks! Your video was very helpful. Got mine yesterday, so I am still learning
Thank you ❤️

@@UKDrivingTest Sorry, I was wrong, I meant the way fuel/temp looks. On my XE they are curved.
oh ok, don't think you can change that.
Sounds like you have got a different year XE, mine is a 65 plate, is yours a newer one?

Yes
@@UKDrivingTest noice
Just do vauxhall vectra on the features ok
The enginee does some noise I think you have to change the enginee mounts I can hear lot of rattling noise
ah ok thanks, not really mechanically minded so would never notice myself.
@@UKDrivingTest i've got the same car and I had to do it unfortunatly after 66k mileage
It's a Diesel engine. I have the same XE and the noise is normal, it kind of disappears after the engine is warm.
