Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an upcoming 2.5D platform action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft. It is the first new game in the Prince of Persia series since 2010's Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.[1] The game is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on 18 January 2024.
The Lost Crown is a side-scrolling action-adventure video game. The game introduces a new hero named Sargon, who must travel to the cursed city of Mount Qaf to rescue the kidnapped Prince Ghassan.[2] Sargon can jump, slide, and air dash to quickly travel between platforms.[3] Sargon can use his pair of blades to defeat enemies. A well-timed parry will help build up Sargon's Athra's Glow, which allows him to unleash a special ability when it is completely filled. Player will have access to several time-based powers for both combat and platforming purposes. Rush of the Simurgh allows Sargon to instantly dash forward through time, while Shadow of the Simurgh lets him place a "shadow marker", which serves as a tempoarily checkpoint that players can return to instantaneously. Sargon can also be equipped with talismans that alter his abilities

I feel like this game was very unfairly judged when it was first showed, I think the game looks great and I can't wait to play it.
Nah it sucks it's nothing to do with persia or prince he is from chicago at best nothing to do with the sands nothing in common with it it's just a woke workaronud so ubicuks can still retain the IP so fans who actually care about it can't legally make a better one.... this on itslef would be a good budget game if they wouldn't try to sell it as a prince of persia game because it isn't...

I remember playing the original Sands of Time in my ps2 when I was a kid. Such a good game, It was innovative for its time, with creative gameplay and level design. I remember the character's clothes getting ripped as you progressed through the game and I thought that was so cool back then. It's sad to know that kids will no longer have this experience nowadays...
All they are left with are these soulless and generic games.

I don't write aggressive -ve reviews but I have been a die hard fan of the POP series, but sad to see this new release in this form, i mean 2D view, seriously, small character, extra large environment view. Not at all impressed. UBISOFT had already lost its interest in this franchise because of AC and now this.... U want RTX users in the year 2024 to run games in 2d style. Would have been better if they had just let it RIP since they r not interested in giving it the respect that it deserves. Very disappointing....

In this modern age a good Prince of Persia game is imposible. People have forgotenn what made the true Prince of Persia games good. Not parkour, not the combat, sands, or arabian music. It was the princess. And all of the above ofcourse because it was done very good and was original at the time. The princess character is essential to that kind of game. Because even the Warrior Within game is essentually an Alladin-type fairytale story. And we can't have that kinda story now can we?
