Here’s a crazy thought years into an apocalypse; men with beards… I know, crazy right?! Sasquatch has been the only man to date, in either game with facial hair. Where are all these razors coming from and why are they so hell bent on being clean shaven?
I think it was Sunnygames who mentioned that someone had pointed out in the new trailer that the car was driving through puddles on the road; as if it had been raining earlier.

I’m thinking spring/summer 2025 for a release window but you may be right, a December release as a Christmas present to the whole SOD community is a possibility. Whatever the case, I’m definitely looking forward to playing it and testing out the multiplayer.

What we want to see in State of Decay 3
1. Improved driving mechanics
2. Drivable motorcycles and especially the heavy ones
3. A ability to use zombies for our interests
4. Improved character stories
5. Firecamp to let our community set around for a cards game or a story to tell
6. A way where we can lure a zombie to our camp lab and do some tests on him
7. And i hope the characters focus more about other character's death, not like in SOD 2 throw a sad line or two...
8. Animals the ones that could have your back and help if you're in danģer Like dogs and foxs

I think if there are zombie animals bears would be highly likely as they could act in a similar role to the juggernaught in sod2, but i cant say i heard any of them in the trailer lol

They teamed up with the Grounded devs to create a similar multi-player world. Basically, it's a world save. Not a character save. Single players or up to 4 can join a world and leave their mark on that world permanently
I think its possible 2025 is the "planned" release year. However it wasn promised because theres always the possibility it could be pushed to 2026.
Probably the reason why we didn't get a release window is because the games been delayed from the original plan, probably because the dev team has changed from the previous engine to unreal 5. And unless they were able to carry over all their progress into unreal 5, it means there almost working from scratch (although not entirely because they probably have a majority of the game plotted and planned out. So it'll take less time to build up, amd get upto speed, but still take time to do it.)

II am an old player and have played both SOD and SOD 2 A LOT :) ...well according to the steam page the game will kinda be like SOD 2 (in terms of singleplayer and online coop gaming). And i think that tokens for the dead for a memory wall would really be a good thing. And animal zombies would be a new thing and so different from the zombies we know. 2025 release sounds realistic, lets wait and see if that happens. As for weather, they show different weathers in the two trailers, so i think that could happen
Maybe with the tokens trinkets you get some of the power they have if you can recover them or some tiny bonus.

For seasons, if they don't change during gameplay, maybe each map (if multiple) would be set in a season. I could see a town high in the mountains having a winter setting. Like a ski resort.
The scars/amputees, idk if that would be something that happens to a survivor. More like an aesthetic that'll come with survivors you recruit. Maybe their traits will imply what happened. Just because survivors come and go via death/exile, it just doesn't make sense to be an active (is that the right wording?) mechanic.

I would love a full on character creator you make your own unique character but some form of ai makes the survivors you find but you can customise them once you've recruited them Into your community like when I mean customise I mean things like hair tattoos piercings I always wanted to make a full on punk survivor in this game but it's not possible sadly yet but here's hoping it has something like that cause they need to make this game the best state of decay and I think that is one way to do it 😊
A character creator would be nice and some dynamic weather like rain and snow would be cool

Weather or at least rain is just such a basic thing in modern games. But why do they show puddles instead of just showing us real ingame rain or CGI rain? I don´t get it. And the fact that there was no release date makes me think that the game won't be out until 2026 at the earliest. Sadly. If they planned to release it 2025 they would say it.

2025 is still awhile a way. Just be patient better to wait and have a fun, playable, finished game over them rushing it and having a glitchy, unplayable, broken mess of a game that gives the Devs a bad name and gives the fanbase something to cry about. I can't wait to play it and I think it'll release early to mid 2025 but even if I have to wait until late 2025 or early 2026 for it that sucks but is fine by me if the wait is worth it meaning it isn't a glitchy unfinished mess like 1/4 of the games released these days for $70

Exactly. I'm excited and can't wait to play it but I'd much rather wait another year or so and it release in the best possible state it can be in. Patience is key and I trust the devs to know when it's ready. They did great with the first 2 and have patched, updated, and added a lot to the 2nd game still. Even though I'm ready af to play it I don't want them to rush it out like some game companies do (EA Madden) and the game be no fun and pretty much unplayable.. Then you have to wait for patches and updates fixing the game over a period of time..just for it to be how it should have been when they released it. When they could just not rush it and release it when it's finished.

4. scar i saw that too, i think its just facial feature. maybe we see npc's with tattoos now and and scars on their body and the like. Maybe theres a story behind it (but i doubt it).
5. Solo definitely pls, i dont want this game to play multiplayer only.
6. seasons, not impossible. its probably gonna happen. We asked for weather effects in sod2, theyll probably give us seasons or biomes in sod3.

I play Subsistence, a one-developer game in early access, and it has dynamic weather patterns, four seasons, changing foliage, snow, thunder, light rain, heavy rain etc. I can't understand why a big developer can't do that easily.

I can't wait for this game. Accidently stumbled onto the first one and was blow away by the hidden gem. I didn't know anything about it and didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. Sod2 improved on pretty much everything. This one may he takimg awhile but I'd rather have to wait another year or so and they releas rthe game when they deem it to be in the best srate it can be in for release than them rush it like some companies do and it be a glutchy, broken, unplayable, no fun mess. We have to be patient and trust the devs to know hest. Everyone wants it to hurry up but I know we don't want an undercooked mess. We need to be Patient
