IMO I think Araki is the healthiest Mangaka in the industry rn despite being over 60 years old he's doing things that people in their early 20's would do Im very happy to see him in such good health especially with how unfortunate other Mangaka health problems are if he keeps this up we might even live to get a part 10 in the future!
i think he wants to get to at least 1,000 chapters. He has 31 to go, so he'll get there in about 3 years. That will be 4 years and 43 chapters into Part 9, which, if it goes by Jojolion or SBR standards, is a little under halfway. So he could stop after part 9 - considering it was the final part he had said he had planned ahead for in 2004. If part 9 lasts as long as SBR (7 years) or Jojolion (10 years), It will last about 8 more years, so Araki would be about 71. There are mangaka who continue into their 70s and 80s (Go Nagai, Takao Saito, etc), so it wouldn't be unprecedented to have him still working and end up doing a part 10 (and maybe he wants an even 10 parts) - but its ending could put him into his 80s, especially if he slows down further by then. He may just want to relax and semi-retire, producing TSKRs and one-shots and travelling.

I think that was one of the COOLEST issues of the JoJo magazine so far!! Talking about the worth of Kujo's house, showing Izumi's character chart and talking more about her role, the slideshow of Stand beatdowns and enemies' defeats, DIO as a character, Araki having fun in Hawaii, side characters getting more recognition through official spinoffs... Life is good!!
This was amazing. I still remember when the news about Araki being in Hawaii made people theorize about Part 9 being set there, and how it turned out to be true, so I loved hearing about the trip in-depth. Similarly, having that picture of Araki and Kabashima in Egypt after having heard the story of them going there before Part 3 is amazing. Also, the pictures of Araki cooking give me life life for some reason
i wonder if during his time in hawaii, he found some strange lava rocks and decided to analyze it as material for his manga, but then a group of misfit teenagers shows up attempting to steal a diamond he owns and brought with him for his trip and then later the kids try to steal the rocks instead. that would be very bizarre wouldn't it? Araki would have surely described it as a bizarre adventure.

Vento Aureo is still the best JoJo Part and sooo happy it FINALLY got an official English Release either earlier this year or last year as the OG Fan Translations contributed to it being an originally misunderstood and not liked as much part until the anime came out

It’s a bit sad ending this year without a new season of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan TV drama, though at least we have the film They did such an amazing work with the adaptation, it makes me want more live action content based on Araki’s works

i visited the big island in june, my 5th trip to the islands, and it was super cool being able to read the jojolands and visit the actual location of the big island that it was taking place in. araki very clearly did his research. everything was on point, from the architectural style of the villas to the lava rock landscapes to the populations of wild cats that roam the islands’ suburbs.
