Number 3 Gold camera. Another enjoyable romp through the land of sx-70. Superb

Hi Jake, thanks for all the great videos! What happened to the rest of this resto? I don't see a part 4... Cheers!

Thanks for another great video. Hopefully more people will stop being satisfied with a camera that looks good, and runs as soon as they get it.

All I can say is that I'm glad my friend paid very little for this camera haha

The chocolate brown for sure, or the black.

I might be wrong Jake but if the 'gold' has oxidised then it's not real gold plating for as far as i know real gold doesn't oxidise that's why it was or is used for teeth fillings sometimes. It's probably just some gold coloured anodising which of course will oxidise if neglected or kept in the wrong environment.
I like the chocolate brown skin if the metal work is to remain gold coloured

You are correct. I believe I comment on this somewhere in the hour long video. I don't believe the panels are real gold. The finish reminds me more of brass. Like you find on a fake gold Leica!
You can do real gold plating if you are prepared to pay for it though ;)
Still a rare finish though, and cool to think they belonged to the original factory employees once
