Thanks for this. As you may be aware, PinkBike is currently releasing a similar test and just hated this bike. That review didn't seem to align with other reviews and comments from owners. The video you show of the bike navagating your test loop (excelent choice, btw) shows me this bike can handle most types of terrian well. Looking forward to seeing the other bikes! And btw, you put a lot more energy into your reviews than the PB guys!
No problem! So weird, I really liked this bike! Definitely slightly more traction oriented with a great feeling of control in tech! Love the customization too! And thanks!! We try and mix up our routes! Had a lot of big rides on this bike, it’s awesome. Thank you!!!
I own this bike and have had it for 2 years now , I also watched the pinkbike review as was blown away on how they rated it ... This bike has traction for days and climbs like a cross country bike that can bomb anything !
If you compare this review with that of PB, they're actually not that different. Instinct seems to have active suspension with easier access to travel. It's just that PB reviewers care a lot more about mid-stroke support than probably most people.
I think PB had a bike with poorly set up or outright faulty suspension. Theirs was a RS build and their take on the 2024 Lyrik is inline with others who have had issues with the 2024 Lyrik.
This was a grest review. Thanks! I am not one to compare usually, but I found this review much more helpful and relatable than the PB review of the same bike. They were not kind to it despite riding it in its home turf. Plus the way they analyzed it didn't connect with how I ride. Your's did! Thanks for saying who it was for too. That's helpful. Overall great review!!
@@mrvwbug4423 one other thing to add... Regardless of the outcomes, I have found the PB reviews much too lofty and inapplicable for my riding areas (SoCal) and my riding styles (blues mostly). This review seems to hit the sweet spot focused on actual use cases of what I ride... And where I ride.
I test rode an Instinct and absolutely loved it but I ended up buying the Altitude due to bike availability. PinkBike's evaluation was very harsh and way off in left field lol. Your review is how i felt when riding it. Great review and I love this series!
I have a 2023 Instinct C30. It has been perfect for 8 months of hard riding and dead silent. The only thing I have changed is putting a 30mm rise bar to increase the stack in the front. Great review and nice riding. PinkBike sucks. They act like bike snobs who cater to racers rather than riders. The Instinct is as good as any bike out there to pin flat corners and high speed berms.
@@moandhannahtravelcan’t wait! Sb140, Ripmo or even switchblade thinking getting.. love sb140 my cousin have 1, but switch infinity is more maintenance.. that i dont like
Pink Bike bitched a lot about this bike. 🤷♂️ On paper (other than the PF BB) it looks awesome. Probably be good in the northeast too. Definitely prefer active suspension on the roots and rocks.
@ I’d have to give up my Stumpy EVO! Seems like many of these bikes just catching up to my EVO. That’s one thing I love about that bike is the technical climbing is amazing.
Canfield makes some interesting bikes, but if you're a heavy rider they're probably not for you, Canfields are extremely linear out back. CBF still pedals extremely well, though maybe feels a bit dead compared to DW link or Horst link.

Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!!!!
The PB test bike had a different build and I think they had an issue with the RS suspension on their test bike.
@ o, thanks for clarifying that. I obviously missed that detail.

I’m already so impressed with this series that I’ve subscribed to your channel. Nice work!
Thanks so much!!!!

Super excited about these matchups !
Glad to hear that!!! Thank you!!!
I just like watching your honest review.

Such a good bike!! Rocky is awesome!
I have a 2022 Element, and it punches so far above its numbers it's ridiculous. I think Rocky is the best in the industry now.
They make amazing bikes!!!
Can’t wait for ripmo review! PinkBike trashed that bike in field test.. currently own RipleyAF & looking for a bit more travel
Ripmo was awesome!! Review coming soon!

PB's review on the Ripmo made it sound exactly like the V2. I say that as someone who rode an AF for 3 years (same geo and kinematics as the V2)
Can't believe Red Foo does Mountain biking. shuffling .
😂😂😂😂
Do you have any sub 2000 dolor mountian bike recommendations.
Ari Bikes or Propain have some insane sales right now getting close to that price point!!!

It’s an amazing bike!! Would be great anywhere rooty!! The customization is also so fun and useable!! 🔥
