    Absolutely amazing crew. I ordered parts for my Rocky Mountain and the shipping company was a nightmare to deal with due to my long work hours so I asked them if there was any other alternative. I live in Vancouver and one of their staff actually brought the part home to meet me at night when I'm off work so I can get my bike up and running again. Love it when companies think outside of the box and willing to be flexible to support their customers

    This hits differently now with the recent "restructuring" going on with Rocky Mtn right now. I hope they pull through, RM deserves to survive.

    Strange to be reading this today just after doings some minor work on my RM Spice. I cannot remember when I bought it but it was the first and only full suspension bike I ever rode. With it's stand out yellow paint job it sure got a lot of attention. My only regret is that
    at my age, 83, I no longer seem to be able to get on it or my three other bikes. I've ended up buying an electric trike so enjoy your youth while you can, it doesn't last forever.

    Link plates! In my mind Rocky Mountain has always represented quality and innovation for our rowdy toys. Scrimping and saving for my Pipeline in 1999 gave me many years of joy, and my Slayer in 2012 was on another level. I would give my middle nut for that Pipe-Dream. Thanks for this video!

    Sort of born on the shore, they were originally in Richmond, I friend worked there, and moved Annacis Island. We would do big rides from Richmond to North Van and back. Used to know a bunch of guys from Race Face as well when it was in New Westminster. My first full suspension bike was a Rocky Team DH and also had a Pipeline, it was one of my favourite bikes to ride on drops etc. Had quite a few Rocky’s. Such an iconic brand

    Thanks for this video............... It's crazy how the culture of the company reflects in their product, the crew seemed to be down to earth, friendly, calm and passionate and the facility was neat, orderly and efficient with no bells and whistles with the right test bike fabrication equipment. It reflects in their bikes, I have an altitude and it's the best full sus I've had, now I know why.

  • @memeLaughLove

    I'm from Canada and it's always great to see local companies BUT the value just isn't there... $3200 for a CUES MTB with the most basic suspension I mean come on... you can get a Jeffsy core 2 with SRAM GX for almost the same price. Also the name Rocky Mountain sounds like a cheap brand you'd buy at Walmart like Ozark Trail. They need to pivot and pivot hard if they want to survive the next decade in this industry.

    • @mrvwbug4423
      @mrvwbug4423 4 месяца назад +1

      RM has never been a budget brand, at the opposite end they're priced competitively vs the likes of Ibis, Yeti, and Santa Cruz. They're not going to ever be competitive against DTC brands on the low end, because they're still a traditional LBS brand and they don't use dirt cheap Chinese frames. At the end of the day I would trust the RM frame to not break more than a YT frame.

    • @wesleyoke8448
      @wesleyoke8448 4 месяца назад

      @mrvwbug4423 slayer failure/ pink bike. Lol. And all the frames are made in the same places for the most part. Rocky mountain holds the supplier rights at my local mountain and alot of people rent and demo them. And they are just... not on par with many other brands. And that's fine. But they always ask for premium price. And for that money... that opens the door to alot of superior bikes and suspensions.

      Comparing Yt’s to Rocky’s is not a fair comparison at all. 2 completely different bikes for different customer bases and riders

    • @memeLaughLove
      @memeLaughLove 4 месяца назад

      @@moandhannahtravel I disagree with that statement. As a consumer they're both MTB manufacturers that sell mountain bikes to mountain bikers. No other distinction can be made unless there is undeniable proof of a better frame quality which isn't the case as far as I'm aware.

    • @TheBikeRoom
      @TheBikeRoom 4 месяца назад

      I've had it with direct to consumer brands, I won't mention which brand but I've had to return the bike twice in 10 months for replacement motors. Boxing up a full fat ebike is no fun. I'll do what I've always 'usually' done, and buy from one of the bike shops local to where I live. With previous bikes I may have paid more, like with my RM Altitude, which I put 12,500 miles on the frame since 2015. Also RM have always had the bushings kit in stock for when they need swapping and they post to the UK. Never had a warranty issue with my RM hence I still have it.
