2 - 23 is half the measurement of 2 - 19, square across 2 cm to 24, square up 2 cm to 25, join 2 - 17 according to Winifred Aldrich Metric Pattern Cutting for Women's Wear where I think she got this pattern from.
Your welcome! :) I just noticed this now, you are right they aren't the same, they should be! What I would do is choose which width you prefer and then just change them so they are matching, it shouldn't alter the pattern too much.
Hi thanks for the details I want to add shorts instead of gusset so I can make a wetsuit but I couldn’t figure out how should I do that as one piece can you help me out thank you
I personally have never made this change so I couldn't be 100% sure, It may just be a matter of getting the right hip measurements and continuing the side seam down to the chosen length and out to the width needed, just keep in mind the stretch of the swimsuit material. Also remove the extra button stand on the gusset :) Hope this helps in some way!
Does this pattern work if you use your own measurements that differ from the spread sheet? Say you fit part of it as a medium and part of it as a large? Or if you use your measurements exactly, will it still work or do you need to use the sizes in the spreadsheet?
you can use your own measurements but it would be much easier to go a size up on the spread sheet and then make the alterations later, for example, if your bottom half is bigger than the top then i would go for the size that fits the bottom half and alter the top half :)
The back width and the body rise are separate measurements. The body rise is measured from a seated position. When sitting on a seat you measure from the surface you are sitting on up to your waist, hope this helps.
Thank you for this tutorial, i got confused for point 23 , as you said the line 2-19 and 2-23 have the same length but in the video 2-23 seems shorter

This was so detailed, thanks.
I have a question thought, the crotch of the front bodice and back bodice aren't equal, how do I make that work?

I completed the whole pattern and i had the same question, why was the front 2 Cm and the back 3.5 cm it wouldnt match up
Can you please clarify regarding point #19 for the gusset & leg curve. Is that 1/8th of Bust or Butt measurement from point #2? Thank you

@@TheDesignDiary thank you for your help x
can i use this pattern to make a swimsuit?
unfortunately no, swimwear is slightly different and some changes need to be made to make the pattern suitable for swimwear.
is the back width considered the body rise measurement? I am little confused for mark 2.
The back width and the body rise are separate measurements. The body rise is measured from a seated position. When sitting on a seat you measure from the surface you are sitting on up to your waist, hope this helps.
Is this pattern suitable for stretch fabric?
it is indeed :)
sleeve please
is the seam allowance included? if so how much?
No, you will need to add 1cm seam allowance :)
How do you sew it
Where can I find the pattern
You need to draft it using the measurements linked below
I can’t find the sleeve tutorial ☹️
Part 2?
I never seen a confusing tutorial as this
