@@Alexander-tj2dn I do believe Martin helped them to make better music beyond the capabilities of themselves for sure, but Mal helped in so many other ways that are beyond the music both personally and professionally with little pay. With all due respect, I can trump all of you. Sir Daniel Day-Lewis (three Oscars if you don't mind) was a roadie for Echo and the Bunnymen back in the day. Also, Lemmy of Motorhead fame was Jimi Hendrix's roadie for a time. But Mal Evans is the most loveable of them all.
I wonder if they didnt raise his salary due to taxation. They took care of his travel, lodging, clothing and food while on tour. Sorry Mal, you were a dear person, but you served the wrong people. And I say that as a huge fan of the Beatles.
I agree he made his choice and to have a family life and work for The Beatles at the height of their career would definitely be hard to juggle. He was severely loyal to them and put them 1st I believe before his family and his own happiness, that is why when they broke up everything he did for all those years stopped. It also was a contentious breakup and hard to be friendly to one party without looking like your taking sides. So lose lose situation and now lonely and feeling useless only added to his depressed state. Thanks for commenting!

Apparently he was shamelessly underpaid by The Beatles, and when the group suddenly broke up, the guy’s charmed life was over. From one day to the next, no more paycheck. We saw a similar dynamic with the death of Brian Epstein. When The Beatles abruptly decided to stop touring, their manager was basically out of a job. Became suicidal. While his death was not ruled a suicide, as with Mal Evans, there are still questions.

Sixth. The fifth was George Martin.
@@Alexander-tj2dn for me doesn't matter which order they could be tied honestly!
@@GsBeatlesWings Honestly I think George Martin was much more important in the Beatles career than Mal Evans.
@@Alexander-tj2dn I do believe Martin helped them to make better music beyond the capabilities of themselves for sure, but Mal helped in so many other ways that are beyond the music both personally and professionally with little pay. It was his undying loyalty and commitment to them that I honestly believe he sacrificed his own true happiness and his relationship to his own family to help make them who they are!
i love your accent
Omg lol Thanks so Much!!!! ♥
I knew Mick Fleetwood. I jammed with Mick Fleetwood. Mick Fleetwood was a friend of mine. Mal Evans, you're no Mick Fleetwood (6'6").
That’s awesome and yes I had discrepancies with his height thanks
Most importantly, he scored drugs for the band
He knew all the dirt on the Fabs.
5:36 mins. Mal, Badfinger and erm, Pat Roach !
Yes you are correct
Mal was murdered by the police.
How many bands can you name a roadie for?
NONE! 0! Agree!
The Inspiral Carpets - Noel Gallagher.
@@gary1961 well there you have it 😀
With all due respect, I can trump all of you.
@NewFalconerRecords nice thanks for sharing
It was a real gun, not an air rifle. I believe Mal was a victim of 'suicide by cop'.
Everything I found on his death said it was an air riffle and YES I do believe it was suicide by cop. He was extremely depressed!
I wonder if they didnt raise his salary due to taxation. They took care of his travel, lodging, clothing and food while on tour. I imagine it was a lot more exciting than being at home supporting a family. He made his own choices. In the end he lost all the blessings he could have had.
He was 6'3 not 6'6.
Thanks for this! I found several discrepancies in different books that I referenced while researching this video. I always appreciate when people that know it as fact can comment. Thank you
@@GsBeatlesWings John, Paul and George were at least 5'10 or 5'11. Mal was at least 4 inches taller not 7 inches when standing next to them. Google has him at 6'3.
@@diz7595 thanks so much

@@crimony3054 Yes i saw different info on this and found out he was 6'3 sorry about that
I still don’t accept why none of The Beatles or the inner circle, including George Martin, were there near the end to help Mal Evans in an impactful and meaningful way; especially after all those years of Mal helping them.
Yeah, I know Harrison helped a bit financially, but come on…
No Excuses!
I completely agree with you but also know people go there separate ways and don’t always keep in touch
Sadly ole Mal knew too much and had to be silenced
Poor Mal was a poorly paid gopher. He did so much for the Beatles and they paid him a pittance. When the band hired Allen Klein as their manager to get more money for themselves Mal should have done the same. The Beatles should have known better (pun intended) as they came from working class backgrounds. Totally tragic how his life ended.

Girlfriend was an enemy.
he was cremated, but his ashes were lost, don't know if they were ever found
With his manuscript. i doubt his death was accidental, poor guy.
That’s so sad.
Really interesting I have to look into that further.
@@jennytaylor3324 Was he going to 'spill the beans' on the P. I. D. rumours?
@@gary1961 Nah was gonna tell bout "Paul's" relation to Crowley
Good Evening, Grahtles. Finally got to finish wathing this, started about 9 hours ago and got interrupted. Thanks for another interesting video.
I've been having internet troubles no access for three day to be specific. Got my new modem set up last night and lo and behold I get new videos from you AND Engineer's Perspective.
I was just listening to a recording of Hey Jude performed by a band Called Dark Star Orchestra They play in the style of the Grateful Dead. Here is a link to it: ruclips.net/video/iby0a_ycnxc/видео.html ☮
Hello there Ron and so happy you got your internet back! Yes Gemzen and I were both working on videos this past week! I have to watch his tomorrow as tonight we were playing a game together lol. It’s late but I’ll definitely check out the link tomorrow. Thanks for commenting and watching 😃
Good night.
He became a fixer
He was way more then that but yes was!
Sorry, but saying he was a "musical contributor" is ridiculous.
Really what would you call it then. He contributed what they asked him to do to get the sound they wanted.
Murdered by the police 😮
Apparently he was shamelessly underpaid by The Beatles, and when the group suddenly broke up, the guy’s charmed life was over. From one day to the next, no more paycheck.
We saw a similar dynamic with the death of Brian Epstein. When The Beatles abruptly decided to stop touring, their manager was basically out of a job. Became suicidal.
While his death was not ruled a suicide, as with Mal Evans, there are still questions.
Welp when ya play dangerous game of clues and reversed sh&t it's bad juju
Did he ask for more money?
I hadn’t found any proof that he asked for more money but I do know for what he did he didn’t get paid that much at all!
@@GsBeatlesWings
Exactly and rather sad. :(
@@SuperAnimelover100 yes
@@willemvandeursen3105 Yes and that was shit pay!
@@GsBeatlesWings
38 pounds in 1960's England wasn't shit pay.
The statement that he wasn't paid anything is simply not true. And a lot of expenses were paid for him-- food, hotels, plane travels. everything that went with the life of the Beatles.
You need to get yourself a professional announcer.
Great now I need some money to hire them
