This is very nice, I like the double head. I have definitely been enjoying my Carver cello banjo, though mine is the 6-string. It's so light and sounds wonderful - it's honestly becoming my go-to instrument for messing around in the house. My wife certainly appreciates the more mellow aspect of it as compared to my standard steel strung banjo!
Hi Caleb. Great video and I love the introduction to the cello banjo. It's quite different. Do you find it relatively easy to tune, and keep in tune, with the friction pegs? I'm considering getting one of Brian's kits. I'm kind of intimidated but intrigued by the tuning pegs.
Sorry for the delay getting back to you! With nylon strings I honestly find it no harder to tune than my fiddles. I have thought about upgrading the stock maple ones Brian uses with ebony, just because I can… But I have no issue with the pegs at all. They just work for me. I have changed to tuning my banjo cello a whole step up lately as it gives me a bit more tension and snap. But I still love this thing a lot!
very cool! compared to the other cello banjos i have seen, the rim seems rather small. what are the measurements? also: i ssubbed to your channel so keep the good stuff coming! ;)
Its great to see this banjo in action. I agree, its a perfect match for your voice. Thanks for the demo Caleb.
I have a lot more planned for it!

I believe it’s 12” Brian should have all the info on his website, he sells a kit like this but with some newer wood options for the rims.
@@calebbhawkins lovely! thanks for the quick answer!
