    Ian, your videos are always chock full of great information and are inspiring as well. Keep up the great work. It will be interesting how the VG's perform on the tail feathers. I'm also keen to see how you home build is coming along after your impressive wing mods and very cool wingtips. Bravo.

    Jacking the a/c up,, and down and up then using the trash can made me chuckle, been there, done that ;) Cheers.

      It was pretty funny to watch in video afterwards. It happens so slow in real time that it took a minute to realize what was going on.

    That new tail wheel looked like it was a lot softer than that original metal spring steel. You AOA on ground also did look much better! Cheers from Winnipeg.

      It really is on both fronts. I need to get some footage from outside like the shot I use early on to show how much more angle of attack it got me.

    Awesome mate. I've got mine to install on my S6s soon. My s6s is older than yours so the bolt pattern is different. I have dirt runways which haven't been graded or rolled so I'm looking forward to it. Also the tail tends to bounce/skip a bit instead of stick. Can't wait

      The t3 really helps that “stick” with the different compression and rebound. Doing little drop tests was impressive.

      @@ianslife210 cool. What preload and rebound setting did you go with.
      Just got my big matco peunmatic tailwheel today. Looking forward to install. What size are your mains. Mine are 13.5inch diam, changing to 22inch.

    Hi Ian , could you please help with tailwheel system election ? What about your former plane S6? Could you please tell me what tailwheel with springs not T3 but last before the T3. Thanks

    since my s6 has no tail light (the rear-facing whites are in the wingtips) , i had to have a new transponder installed. how did you accomplish adsb-out?

    • @ianslife210
      @ianslife210  4 года назад

      I went ahead and invested in a new transponder from garmin. I wanted to have something that would be long supported and I don’t trust the sky beacon and other external mount solutions for the long haul.

    hi, I bought a rans 6s, with tricycle landing gear, can I turn it into a bicycle landing gear? where can i find awnings? thank you very much ....

    • @ianslife210
      @ianslife210  4 года назад

      You can’t convert them over. The taildragger models have additional reinforcement and gear mounting points that the tricycle models don’t.

    I’d be concerned about side loads with those slotted holes

      Those were actually recommended by the distributor so I believe they should be fine.
