Looks like your tail wheel steering springs are a bit long, that might reduce the shimmy and improve ground control a bit more. Although it is never going to be easy with a short tail dragger with that much power anyway (but every little bit helps).
I have a Eagle also. And I have to exchange the tail leafs every second year. And yes you are right... the Eagle is a bit bad on the ground.... you have the chain very loose... why is that?
I do allot of bush flying and my bush-plane is setup to lead with rudder and then follow with steering the wheel. It is a much smoother experience. I decided todo the same on the Eagle and the effect is very similar. On the video they look especially loose because I am steering. If you pause the video when the rudder is dead centre you will see they are not crazy loose. If I remove one link it is just before the springs tention, if I remove two links the springs will be under tention.
Hey guys hope you're well. Just reaching out to find out how you have found the T3 over the last 12 months as we are thinking of retro fitting to our CE after a tailwheel issue recently. Is it still on? Working as expected? Etc. Many thanks Ed
Hey Ed! It's still on and still Amazing! If you can, definitely do the swop. Two other people that I know of have told us via Facebook that they did it as well and LOVE it.
Proved ‘em wrong! Good job. Juan.
Thanks Juan!
I believe we did😁
Crazy yes, crazy smart.
😁 Thanks Tom!
Impressive, Clearly an obvious improvement, Well done
Thanks Carlo! Appreciate your feedback🔥
I think... YOU ARE CRAZY! :-) I love your work and your channel. TOP NOTCH! I want to see your channel grow! Keep the videos coming.
🤣 Thanks Brian!
What's the use of Experimental if you don't experiment?? 😋
Thanks for the feedback 🔥🔥
I like it! Don't worry about the naysayers. I want one of those tailwheels for our Bushbaby (he said, hoping Santa overhears 😂)
Lets Go Aviate 🤣 Yeah we don't, because we have felt it and know it works!!! We have one on the KitFox as well, they are amazing !
Whatever floats your eagle haha. Its your plane, don't let people intimidate you! Thanks for the videos!
😂 Thanks, Carlo! With the results we got, I would encourage others to at least look into it before making a premature decision - it really is amazing🔥

It does seem a bit long; when we attached them they were exactly the right length... But we'll definitely look into it, thanks!
Lekker! Could you please share, what is the lb rating of the spring on the t3?
The T3 comes in a few weight versions from 2500lb to 1350lb. We used the kitfox version 1550lb. The holes also aligned perfectly 😀
Hi Guys.. Looking to T3 my Eagle, did those shims at the forward attachment point come with the kit, or did you use your own?

Crazy yes! But good crazy hahaha
Exactly!😁

@@About2Stall that great thank you. How much does it impact the landing characteristics? AoA, speed etc? Thank you
Pleasure!
Land it as you usually would... The tail might be slightly higher, but the only real difference is the ground handling.
Does the T3 on your Eagle maintain about the same wheel caster angle?
Yeah, believe so...
We haven't noticed a difference
Why not just add a nose gear..........LOL. I'll leave my stock Eagle as it it.
🤣🤣🤣 I hear you Dave, just checking are you landing on a nice tar runway or are you landing on bumpy rough gravel?
