Blender does not have the game engine anymore The integration is maintained by UPBGE You will need to get UPBGE i.e. blender with game engine from upbge.org
I'm new on Blender... and I'm taking my first steps with it... I just made a project with a "1st person cube with a camera" controlled by keyboard over a simple plane (without textures) and a light! That was it!.. (no sounds, no textures, no other models... just that!) When I exported the "game" to executable mode: all the files were 850 MB!! 😲 (850MB just for 1 cube controlled by keyboard!!) I wouldn't like to imagine how long a complete Virtual Tour for ArchViz will take) Something has to be wrong! 😣
It is not your game size. It's the game engine that takes up the space. Which includes python libraries and other things. So for any export there will be a basic size plus your actual game. As you mentioned your game become 850 MB the majority of the size chunk would be the game engine and libraries. Apart from this as you learn blender you will come across techniques which will hello you to reduce the game file size also. Enjoy blender and good luck for your learning.

i gotta say, nice work timing the breakdown of the music when you start playing the game. good stuff
for some reason the textures are missing and its just purple
i have the same issue.
You need to save the textures in the blend file the way to do that is packing the textures in the blend file
Just checked this in Blender 4.0 (Linux) ... these add ons don't exist (anymore). Do I need to install anything else?
