Mom of 5 here. I’ve had kids in my 20s, 30s and 40s. It’s hard. Give yourself grace. Not everyday will meet your expectations and that’s ok. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a moment. You’re amazing and are loved by so many.

Good for you for knowing when to stop and rest. Give yourself some grace. You are doing a wonderful job. The rest will come. You have a lot going on right now between taking care of a newborn and a toddler and living in your home while it's being renovated.

Minimalist granny of 5- heave that fireplace- you’re absolutely right! Resting is another key concept. It’s ok to let stuff go. If it’s overwhelming just throw stuff out especially the expectations!❤️❤️❤️
Ideas for the dog-hair-couch dilemma, some people put a blanket on part of the couch, so the dog is only allowed on the couch and no (or very little) fur gets on the fabric. That, or getting a dog bed to sit on.
It is really hard to train a dog to stay off a couch or bed they were previously allowed on without feeling like a monster (which you're not, its okay, but it does feel that way). But maybe training him to have a singular spot on the couch helps!

Hi Abs! I came to your channel when i was pregnant with my now 2 yr old bby and it was bc i needed content to relate to. Being a mother and having a clean house. I just want to say i love your channel and get so excited when you post. But, you take a pause and take care of yourself. Youre doing great! And you’re so brave to do it all! When my 3 boys were little we did a book advent. So a book a day, it was fantastic……I didn’t necessarily buy NEW books every day, I just added their really loved ones into the days. It’s a lovely tradition. Even now my boys are 20-18-16, we still have adventure traditions.
Bless you, you have so much going on at the moment and you worked so hard on the house during your pregnancy. I have always been very organised, but I learned very quickly as a mother that sometimes, you have to go with the flow and take care of yourself. Also, when you have work going on in the house and it looks a tip, try visualising it and yourselves in it once it's finished. It sometimes helps to lift your mood. (And that's my TED talk for today!) 😁
Just know we all have days like this. You are doing great. Having s newborn is hard enough, plus all the renovations. I don’t know how you do it. God bless you and your family.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You're doing a lot and just had a baby. Hang in there and just take it one moment at a time and take time to rest and enjoy your family. All the laundry and cleaning will be there tomorrow. Also, you're on your way to a new bathroom. Yay.

I needed your Ted talk today! I too haven’t been the nicest to the people around me- always happens when my autoimmune disorder kicks up and I feel overwhelmed and out of sorts. I take it out on others. I think that sounds like an excellent goal and very much appreciate your reminders, and your realness. I’m not sure how you’re holding anything together during postpartum with renovations that’s for sure!

The first post partum weeks are the hardest especially with 2 babies. Take care of yourself. We all want to get back to routine but you’re in transition. You have the rest of your life to be in routine. It’ll come, just be patient. Transition is hard.
I had colon surgery 3 weeks ago. I’m trying to get back into routine but my body isn’t ready. If I don’t take the time now it will take longer to heal. Congratulations on your beautiful baby Daisy. 💞🙏👶🏻

Congratulations on baby #2! That is a big adjustment and you have a lot going on. Postpartum days are precious but also so so hard. It can take a while to get into a new routine. I hope you can find the balance of all the things that help you feel at your best. Sometimes that is resting to heal and sometimes that is cleaning to feel like yourself and sometimes that may be filming to give you something you enjoy. You can do it! 😁

I had to laugh hearing you describe baby number 1 and then 2 it's so true the first one we try it all but when 2 comes we realize they are just as happy laying on a carpet as on a perfect mat that's so pricey parenting is so fun and testing ❤yes some days we have a clean home but clean and messy are different yours always looks clean even if things aren't perfect!!

I had my 3rd baby 3 months ago. I just recently had my fallopian tubes removed, so no more babies for this momma. My husband is at meps right now taking the asvab to join the army. My oldest is nonverbal autistic and type 1 diabetic. I have alot of stuff going on. Other then all that I am really quite boring.

Both your girls are so precious but baby Daisy is giving me major newborn fever 🥰my baby boy arrives in about two months and my 2.5 year old is so excited to be a big sister but Im getting nervous about adapting to life with 2 littles. 😅Still can’t wait for all the newborn snuggles though
From what it looks like though, you are Super mom and Im sure you are doing Amazing! I understand what you mean about wanting to do more housework and being organized but not being able to get everything done at once. I used to be a clean perfectionist and Im teaching myself that its ok if my house gets messy-dont forget to give yourself Grace when it gets hard.💛

I have a dyson v8 animal! We’ve had it for 4 years and it deals with a LOT of dog hair from our German Shepherd
Girl, instead of filming you go and sleep. And eat. And rest. Please don't exceed your limits, you are a wonderful woman and a great mom! All the worries-go away from you. Be careful and take care of yourself first
You do way too much. You should be resting. Just having a baby is hard enough.
