  • Finally!!! Jan's epic 540 big block runs, well mostly, like it's supposed to. It sounds awesome and he is finally able to put some time on this replica warbird. There will be some more testing before the prop is installed, but that day is coming!!

      It is pretty clear, isn't it!!! Lol

    Sounds great ! Lots better that last. It even sounds like a Merlin at startup idle but, just a very little bit deeper tone. I'd say do to
    the larger bore size per cyl. of course. I'd say as far as idle sensitivity goes, it will be a whole different animal once the prop is on !
    P.S. Did I hear a " Clear Prop !" LoL I did notice everyone giving the front end respect, old habits die hard and that is good !!!!

      Yep that engine demands a lot of respect. Thx for watching. Hopefully we'll have decent enough weather to put it outside and run it some more

    Twitchy throttle because theres no load..

    • @mustangbob51
      @mustangbob51  11 месяцев назад +2

      That is definitely a possibility. still gonna be a minute before installation as it's much safer for us around the engine running while were checking things out. Thank you for watching!!

    Was he really trying to adjust the prop?😀

    • @mustangbob51
      @mustangbob51  4 месяца назад

      No, just running the hydraulic circuitry. The prop is a dead end. And we discovered a small leak which we'll have to fix

    Just wondering here. Could a Viper V10 work on this type of plane?

    • @mustangbob51

      @Ihunt2100
      I guess if someone wanted to go through that much heartache. The thing about this motor is that it was built to aircraft engine standards as possible. Also, like the njection system, there were parts in the world already created for this type of application that didn't have to be scratch built. I appreciate you watching my videos!

      @@kennettmanion9600 probably would be. Jan's is only 650hp with a supercharger.

    That folding table for a tail stand is not that strong and can collapse.. I would never trust it you risk damaging the tail.
