Amazing - I didn't realise we had Titan aircraft here in Australia. And great interview - this kid is a better interviewer than most channel hosts I have come across on YT - Really good questions. 👏🏽
Hi Devan… thanks for the kind words, and I appreciate you watching my video. This is a very nice Aircraft and Ryan who owns it, was very passionate about it. I just posted a video yesterday of an interview of a Douglas DC-3 if you are into older Aircraft. It was an A380 captain that gave me the interview. It’s on my channel. Thanks again for watching.
Thanks… glad you enjoyed aircraft tour. Great aircraft and great pilot. I have more interviews like that on my channel if you have the time to check them out.
Thanks Tom, I’m glad you enjoyed my video. I’ve done a few other Aircraft interview videos on my channel if you are interested, including with a top gun pilot. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
You're doing great work here, but the constant zoom pans during the intro interview are doing my head in. You've got great content and style, let that speak for itself. Subscribed.
Thanks William, glad you enjoyed my content. Yes, we are toning down on the editing to make it more natural. Sometimes when the camera is too far away, you don’t know until the editing, so you have to zoom in, but I’ll take your point. Thanks for subscribing.
Looks like Titan aircraft is done website is no longer working. I suspected his kids had very little to do with his aviation business. I feel bad for the customers who had deposits hopefully someone will buy the designs and plans. I always wanted one of these I even met him at an small air show years ago. Hopefully his dreams don't die with him.
@@Mike-01234 thanks for your comment, Mike. Hopefully we will hear from Ryan who is in this video with me, I would say that he might know what’s happening with the business. Totally agree, hopefully the business continues. Thanks for watching my video.
These can barely handle the V8 conversion and become so nose-heavy they are like a yard dart. We used to cobble them together with an extra layer of aluminum inside the baggage compartment so they would hopefully hold together under the stress of the LS.
@@richardbrowne3641 but yes it was designed for a 4-cylinder engine and now you want to up it to a V12? While the V12 was smoother than the LS it came with a whole set of problems of its own. This airplane was never designed for this kind of weight or power and there have been patch and cobbled fixes since the V6 version.
These were originally designed for a 4-cylinder Rotax, then some were converted to a V6, . And finally someone got the great idea to put in LS Chevy crate engine in them at this point they are extremely nosy and very dangerous because of the engine quits you're out of luck.
Sorry to be the negative nancy here but Never fly an airplane with a car engine. July 21st John Williams the owner of Titan aircraft and builder of the T-51 just passed away while flying one, propeller hub failure and then a high rpm surge breaking the propeller. R.I.P
Not a negative Nancy at all. Maybe just a Nancy ! As your comment points out the issue when John Williams lost his life was a prop issue! Not the engine ! A prop manufacturer that has built many props for a long time . Car engines are far more modern and far more reliable these days . That plane has 4 fuel pumps , 2 engine computers and 2 ignition systems . The only thing it doesn’t have over a traditional aero engine ( that uses 1930s tech ) is dual spark plugs and let’s face it, the platinum plugs in the Suzuki are far better then the old dual electrode plugs in aero engines ! Also uses modern synthetic oil and not old mineral oils . It also wasn’t the hub that failed in John’s aircraft, he was a mate of mine and I think respect should be shown to him and the aircraft he created. Hope this has fulfilled the attention you are lacking for having a stupid comment on a young kids RUclips video! Thanks BeSnappy! Great video! Great plane !
@@zooomdelivery8460 the reviews of the accident point out the hub was at fault bit the prop no need to be a ahole dude we all miss the guy and you knowing him also adds nothing to It. Talk about respect while saying my comment was stupid...right.
@@zooomdelivery8460 The problem was the LS engine was heavy for a plane that started out with a Rotax 912 and was fitted with larger and larger engines. I agree with you that car engines are not any less reliable then an Lycoming. When the engine quits now have this large heavy weight that is going to shorten glide, increase glide speed, increase landing speeds all that stuff. John's airport was not a good place for an engine out either. He tried his best to land on the road caught a wing he never stalled it but going that fast going to do damage.
Excellent aircraft. Interview well done.

Great interview!
Thank you! Ryan the owner was very generous with his time and the aeroplane is in great shape. Thanks for watching.
Great stuff
very cool , is anyone building a full scale P-51 ??
Super interesting. Well done video. You just gained a new subscriber

Well done👌
Thanks Martin. Nice aircraft the Titan Mustang!
good luck to the owner, so many accidents lately with t51s lately
Wow what another good video
Thanks Owen… glad you enjoyed my video. It’s an amazing aircraft! You will see a regularly flying over the Hunter Valley region in particular.
Where in Australia is the aircraft located?
Hunter Valley is where we filmed this video. Thanks for watching.

Great.
Did you go for a ride??? Great video!
Hi Dan… I didn’t go for a ride, it’ll be back in the skies after Xmas. Glad you liked my video. Thanks for watching.

You should try installing an Audi V12 in it with over 1,000 h.p.. Then it becomes a Thunder Mustang!
That really does sound powerful! Thanks for watching.

@popsfereal Titan T-51's have a V12 option. Why can't the carbon fiber SW-51 can?
@@richardbrowne3641 a V12 option? That was a one-off deal and John's personal plane.
