- I love nature and animals, especially primates. They walk, act, and behave so much like humans. I feel as though I can interact with them on a deeper level. This monkey was asking me to open the cap so he could drink. You can see in the video that he asks for the bottle and then pushes it back, hinting to twist the cap open. I refilled the soda water bottle with filtered water from my Ashram. Also, I recovered the empty bottle when the monkey was done drinking.

i had such encounter when we visited a temple couple months ago. We need to walk for 2 hours to reach top so i brought few chips to eat once i reach top but they wont late me take any, so never take anything with you in your hand even water and you are safe.

@@turtleman190Normally I would agree, but these particular monkeys happen to be unusually docile. They rarely attack as they prefer simply running away rather than having a physical conflict. Of course, there have been cases of bites and scratches, but far more reports of these things from our domesticated animals than from these rather passive old world monkeys

Langurs are very gentle creatures. For most part they are healthy and live peacefully around humans too. Of course they're super intelligent, and do not fear us that much. Please be nice to them, and give them water in the hot summer months. The rest of the time they will know where to find water.

Langurs are generally very gentle, if you don't bother them, they don't bother you. I remember this one time I was carrying like 5 pizza boxes right in front of 3 mothers and their kids, none of them even moved from their perch on the trees, even the kids!
They do give you a mean shove though, if you sometimes happen to be in their way

not really it may seem like a sweet thing to do. But it teaches them to be looking for people to give them stuff when they see them with stuff and they won't leave you alone or just try to take it. They aren't like humans they're wild animals and associate us with food not trying to be friendly and when a person who walks by them doesn't give them stuff they'll get either aggressive or try and take their bag to look for food. Not because they're starving or anything like that they just like food and Associate us with that which is not a good thing. Especially when there's large groups going to places where they know there are people to try and get stuff it may seem cute but it is dangerous plenty of people have their stuff stolen or have to deal with an angry monkey.
