The reason they sound different is that the stock VS to VT Ecotec V6 left bank has a log type cast exhaust manifold whereas the VY Ecotec V6 has the much-improved flowing stock tuned cast exhaust manifold which eliminates that raspy trumpet sound. Fitting tuned extractors will actually make it sound worse and kill low-end torque and from memory, (it's been a while since tinkering with Ecotec V6s), I think Mace Engineering found the stock cast iron VY manifolds flow quite well if the castings are ported and smoothed out and port matched. 🤘😎

What did u do to the Vy ? Did u put hotdog in mid and straight through to the end
Mines got no mid muffler and no rear one just straight pipe soon gonna put high flow cats and extractors
Vt sounds tuff ill be doing that today

Adds XXX I put a 3 inch mild steel straight pipe on mine, sounds ducking sick
And is the Vy v6 or v8
V6
Probably works at the meat works at Murray Bridge
Twin straight pipes one off each extractor is way tougher that sounds shit
Battle of the bogans
Both V6 not worth the effort
