I'm an investor in Amyris, the parent company of ROSE INC. I watched your entire video and am blown away at the level of detail with which you explored each product. Proud to see Rosie HW's vision for the brand coming through in her products. Thank you for this video.
I love that your five minute makeup look was a hipster-type look that many of us wore in the mid to late 90s. I was younger than you are when I wore it back then. I also recall making sure the lip and cheek looked made up enough that the bare eye was more obvious as a choice. I do recall being aware that the cool kids were wearing it... and that I was mimicking them. This was before social media. So I don't recall knowing exactly how the trend started. I wouldn't be surprised if the look was a trend well before my time as well. So fun to see trends return. 🦋🧡🦋
I'm having a really rubbish week....and this video just brightened my day. Just the way you speak is so soothing and relaxing. I am on a no buy and the thing I LOVE about your review videos......is that hearing you waxing lyrical about the products actually satisfies my urge to try new products..... without actually buying them. Like....it's enough for me to see the carefully considered swatches and detailed reviews. You are a little piece of magic in a consumerist world!!!!
Your skin looks luminous, natural & beautiful. Your daily look is very Victorian. I think her choice of a slightly warm muted rose shade of blush & lip crayon was actually a good one since it is probably the most universally flattering by not being too orange/warm or too pink/cool for people with light/fair skintones. I've recently started using concealer as "base' on the center of my face & cheeks to cover redness from rosacea & then using a very sheer cushion foundation over the top. Idk what I will do when the cushion runs out since it was a drugstore option that has been discontinued. I only have 1 left. I can't use Korean cushions because of the fragrance & chemical spf they contain. I've seen several people using concealer instead of foundation & preferring the results. People want certain things covered, they just don't want to look dry, cakey & mask-like to attain the coverage.
I love Rose’s vibe with makeup. It is cool girl minimalism, but there’s a flair of fun to it. Similar to Violette or Glossier. I have my eye on this brand for the future
I work at a derm office, and there are many strange anatomical words for specific areas on your face haha. For example, the space between your eyebrows is called your 'glabella', the areas right in front of your ear and behind is called your 'pre-auricular' and 'post-auricular', respectively. The 'ball' of your cheek is called your malar cheek, and the area closer to your jawline in called your buccal cheek. But my personal favorite is definitely the vermillion border lol! Sounds so sophisticated haha.
The review of the face products sound like exactlyyyyyy what I’ve been looking for! I’m tempted to just immediately buy them! I’m going to take a breath and think about before I go for it though. I haven’t bought makeup in so long! Also Hannah I have to say that you are just shining so brightly lately. This chapter of living with Julia and Oliver, as a married woman…. It’s really working for you!
You have a way of articulating your relationship to makeup that I have always tried to find the words to but never could! Love your videos, love your explanations, love your makeup style. You look beautifully unique, and we need more of this! Thanks so much.
is it weird that I find her disclaimers better than her actual reviews? they inform so much. actually that's a lie. I love the reviews, too. but the disclaimers make me proud. (it also looks like a teeth guard container.) ps. do you know a colour dupe for the caramel coloured one in the elf active pallet? the middle one. it's almost my natural lip colour and I cannot stop my obsession.
Ok so Australia just got Charlotte tilbury today and I’ve been trying to figure out what I want. This video has convinced me to wait until next week when Rose Inc launches instead and get what I really want. Thank you for assisting me in making a better financial decision
If you get anything from Charlotte Tilbury, the makeup setting spray is the best. I usually don’t like setting sprays because they don’t work. This does. I touch my face a lot and my blush stays on.
I love the baby bird eyes! The Tilda Swinton! The editorial natural look! I’ve often done this type of look especially when my eyes feel tired or itchy. Beautiful review, Hannah!
Thank you for your review, Hannah! I really hope Rose Inc eventually expands their shade range. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I absolutely love the magnetic/refillable packaging of that blush, and I would definitely get one if there was a shade for me. They just all look way too warm and red for me personally. But I love that there's more magnetic/refillable stuff at Sephora! I'm definitely going to keep my eye on Rose Inc. 💚💜💙
Listening to you describe this lip product right now, and I had to pause the video to say-I feel that you are describing the product I am wearing today, which is Honest Beauty’s lip crayon in Sheer Chestnut Kiss. I continue coming back to this product because of the texture, which is that same firm, rich pigment as the Elf Active Lip and Cheek (which I bought because of you and couldn’t be happier, btw). And dare I say that it looks like a tawny rose on my coloring? Idk. It’s feeling like perfection, and I am so grateful to have somewhere to wear it today, even if that only means ballet class with my little. And now back to this video...!
I was the opposite, I really liked the color range of the blushes and they were all very exciting for me. Heliotrope was actually the least exciting, lol. I picked up Anemone and then loved the formula so much I ended up getting the entire shade range! The one I'm looking forward to the most is Foxglove, which looks like it will be amazing for fall/winter with that burnt orange terracotta red, as well as Dahlia, which looks like a red-pink which I LOVE.
Thank you for this review because I am part of that fraction of a fraction for this particular color need! For years I've been using Lancome teint idole in 085N as a tinted moisturizer, but have been wanting to try something else. Pale neutral shades are nearly impossible to come by. Thank you again Hannah ❤
I'm so pleasantly surprised by this brand, and once I saw Kackie's review of the concealer I think I heard angelic choirs because I thought, "Maybe my Emperor Palpatine eyebags have finally met their match." Literally no other concealer I've ever tried, even with color corrector underneath, has been able to cover my dark circles. The only thing I'm nervous about is figuring out what MY perfect or close-enough shade is; it's been difficult to ascertain as I'm like mid-range light neutral. I finally picked a shade after looking up as many other video reviews as I could find and I'm really looking forward to trying it.
Another great thing is the size! I love NARS radiant creamy concealer (my personal HG), but this is almost double the product for the same price (6ml vs 10.8ml)! Once I figure out my color match, I'm giving it a try!
@@morganproctor7521 After much deliberation I finally chose 30 but it hasn't arrived in the mail yet. I almost went with 50 per Lannie Vast so if 30 still winds up being too light that may be my next choice (I hate to spend that much trying to find The Ultimate Concealer but if it works it'll be worth it to me.)
Same about the dark circles, had them since I was a kid. I've given up fully covering them now, I use a peach colour corrector and a little concealer just to soften them. My bf prefers it when they show through and I challenged myself to try it more often, I'll never go back now. I feel like they give my eyes more definition, making them look even bigger and they emphasise my "exotic" mixed heritage lol. I hate looking back at photos of myself in my teens and early twenties when I was in the phase of covering them by just using layers of concealer and packing a translucent powder, sometimes with plenty of flashback on top to set it. The realisation came at just the right time too, a couple weeks ago I got distracted and ended up applying way too much concealer under my eyes and wow the creasing was ridiculous. I'm turning 30 this year so I guess things have changed a little under there. 😆😂😭
Hannah- BEAUTY REC-- Pls try Mac Glow Play Blush in 'So natural' and Benefit 24hr Brow setter. They are my 2 holy grail products. especially since you love the same pale washes of blush and need strong hold gel for brows! I've been waiting for the day you stumble upon them and they grace your channel but no, this is the time for action LOL so I've finally let you know. P.s. so happy to see your channel growing and getting more of the attention it deserves! You are impacting us beauty lovers in amazing, meaningful ways XO
I bought one of the lip products and didn’t like it for a year. Now I think it’s perfect and just as you described. I actually like that it comes in a fat crayon component.
The cheek and lip compact in Dahlia is actually really pretty. It’s a unique color that it’s rosy and plummy. I can see myself love this color in both fall and summer. I have fair skin and yellow undertone.
I love your look exactly the way it is. Also, high five for finding an exact shade match in a formula you like! Now you can sleep peacefully at night haha
Really loved this review Hannah! Thank you for making it, I’ve been interested in the concealer as I’ve never quite found a concealer that I can concentrate over scarring and acne but also blend out over redness. Only thing I would say is I would appreciate it if you’d spoken to the number of shades in the range, as someone who is trying to only purchase from brands who have been inclusive to skin tones. I understand this is a review on your skin and people can look this up themselves, I just think it makes a more well rounded review. But again thank you for reviewing this brand! 💛✨
This review was so helpful, thank you! When you were talking about the type of blush you want like a soft, dusty neutral shade, RMS lip2cheek in spell came to mind! 🌷
Great video. I agree with everything you said in this video. I bought it the day it came out. I too love Rose Inc. I agree with the color match and the formula. I'm slightly darker and I use shade 50 and it is absolutely perfect for me it's neutral as you said and I wear it just like you do. I love her blush and a lipstick also.
I LOVE the Elf active lip and cheek. I got two of them at Marshall’s clearance rack for $1 each. You also showed SALT New York. Do you have a review on it? I am intrigued by her products.
Fair olive is what I am and I too struggle in the same area! One of the new Anastasia concealers is my closest match. It’s got that same grayish undertone.
I'm also a fair neutral. Right now I like ELF in the shade fair rose. I use it under my eyes. I use the matte formula. THE satin one moves around or sheers out over time on my skin.
Hey love so you are the one that introduced me to the elf active lip and cheek and I am sorry to inform you and I may be mistaken but after searching around I’m pretty sure it is now discontinued. I had purchased a ““ back up“ when I saw it at TJ Maxx and I’m glad I did although I try to buy very minimal amount of back ups but I use that product almost on a daily basis and love it dearly. Thank you for introducing it to me and I hope it does stay continued.
Your excitement finding out about and saying "the vermilion border" is so precious! 💕 I do not have acess to this brand here in Brazil, but enjoyed your review of the products anyway! I love your aproach towards color, tones and textures and feel like I can always leave a video with more on my mind ✨
I’m into this look! It reminds me of a high fashion blushed cheek trend I’ve seen a few years ago on men. The strong brow plays into that masculine makeup style too.
Your description of Tilda Swinton killed me 💀. Here I was saying "hm, yes it does add that special Tilda Swinton quality" and then you elaborated on it and chose an egg of all things as description. I choked on my pasta. On a side note, I honestly did not notice you weren't wearing mascara until you mentioned it. It just looked like "fresh rose bud" look. I'm so glad you finally found a base product that you can use on its own😩
You look so good Hannah as per usual. I am truly happy you found a colormatch! Finally XD I really want to get this concealer as my next one. How exciting!
Sooo I know you said I don’t have to run and get this concealer but based on your comments and review it’s a done deal 🎉 sooooo excited to receive it. I also live a very thin and skin-like base. Not full coverage or all over coverage. Mostly my skin but the best version of it❤️
I need this exact concealer as you describe it right down to the grayish neutral color! I have the Hourglass concealer too. Using your link to buy right now! 💃
Hannah- have you ever tried the Milani conceal and perfect concealer? The color and the way you described the consistency and coverage sounds exactly like it. Their lightest shade looks very neutral. Just makes me curious if that shade/formula would be something you’d like. Thanks for an awesome video, as usual!
@@allisonn9036 Are you referring to Magic Hour? When Hannah opened Heliotrope I was instantly reminded of Magic Hour (which, ironically, I just ordered!).
Do you think the next shade up in neutral (LX 050) will also work for light olive undertones? LX 010 seems a bit light and thanks to you, I'm coming to the revelation I may be light olive as well. :)
Oh I need to see if this is available in the UK. Fair neutral concealers are so so hard to find. Just now I use the Ere Perez arnica concealer in Latte which does work for me but the Rose Inc one looks outstanding!
I'm curious what you're perfect shade of blush looks like. Could you provide a visual example of the shade you're thinking of in a paint swatch or another item you have in the shade?
Have you tried the elf x pitizion cream cheek quad? I find the formula similar to the elf lip and cheek and I really enjoy it! The blushes are quite pink (one rose, one bright coral) but they mix beautifully with the highlighter and bronzer. Also the bronzer is amazing!! I’ve never loved a bronzer but this one rocks! Haha
you should try the Bobbi Brown cream blushes - it's my favourite formula, it's super creamy like a lipstick and has a nice shine that lasts the whole day. best cream formula for me
So I had been looking for a concealer replacement, but like you I always have an issue with the shades being too pink, too white, or too yellow on me. So I had just been nursing this old ass colourpop concealer that was 2-3 years old, and I knew I had to replace, but didn't know where to go, and was just waiting for something to fall into my lap?? I guess?? haha. I randomly found this video of yours and after hearing your review, and seeing that your skin-type and tone was the exact match to mine I took the plunge and I got it- and its PERFECT! Thank you for doing this vid, I had never heard of this brand! D: Also when you close the concealer lid it gives this satisfying click, and its not gross or spills out over the cap. It matches my skin perfectly and it doesn't dry out, crinkle, or melt off! Yay! Thank you! 💓💓💓
Oooh that concealer looks great. I am also a very fair olive skin person. At the moment the kosas concealer in 0.5 is my perfect colour match, but it is only medium coverage. Will try this one..
Question. Is the blush application such that it looks like you got a sunburn while wearing sunglasses? Or does it appear this way in the video due to lighting? Not judgment either way. It just didn’t seem like that’s how you were applying it in the b roll application process. But as you’re talking that’s how it appears.
Your nail polish looks almost exactly like the one I'm wearing. Mine is 'In Stitches' by Essie, I'd love to know what yours is? Also really appreciate this review, I am nowhere near as pale as you but my undertone is very neutral and can come off slightly grey so I also find it fairly difficult to match my shade. Definitely easier than it used to be when I was in my teens though, when everything was too light and too pink or too yellow beige or orange tan. I'll have to see if any of the less pale shades of the rose Inc concealer also have neutral undertones. The formula of the cheek product sounds incredible but it is such a shame about the colours! Especially these days when there are so many other, sometimes cheaper, brands doing gorgeous colours. Also just wanted to say that I finally took the plunge after one of your videos and dyed my light brown eyebrows dark brown to match my dark brown hair! Thanks for the inspiration, I am never going back, this has changed my life, my eyebrows look soo much fluffier! My eyebrows are much more similar to my brother's eyebrows now, but I'm okay with it. 😂
Lol I love the description box, the reviews are good for this concealer so I’m having to fight the want for this! I just bought some drugstore concealers so I will need to get through those first so thanks for reminding me 😂
Ooh. Exciting, I have the same issue with concealer not being neutral enough. My skin is translucent white, in the winter I am . I often have to mix and Violet color correct or gray concealer and foundation out.
Do you wear sunscreen with this concealer?¿ Wondering how well it gets along with spf, since some products work great on bare skin but don’t play well with sunscreens!
I have the same shade issue you do! Initially I didn't even glance at this new brand but now I really want to see if this concealer could finally be my match!
I really love your shirt! Actually, I really like the entire color palette and the low saturation of your video today, I kinda reminds me of a Wes Anderson movie. :)
Beautiful Hannah I hope you see this comment! 🌟 I have been trying to perfect the no mascara look for a long time and I have a tip for you - put just a bit of either clear or tinted eyebrow gel on your eyelashes, let them dry for a minute so they're not wet but not completely dry, and then curl your lashes(2 times each side). The gel helps them actually stay up throughout the day. It makes a big difference because you can see some lashes on your eyes, so your eyes stand out more but mascara is not needed. It looks just a bit less baby bird like 💜
i think the grey tone in the concealer works in this case because green cancels out red, but when you mix complementary colours you create this very complex grey shade
I really want to try this concealer after hearing you and Mariah leonard talk about it. It looks killer! I am fair and warm though so I’m a little concerned about matching😩
Yay big congrats to you on finding a base product that is such a great match!! As someone with ultra porcelain skin I know the struggle re: tone. I'm not sure why there is such a lack of ultra fair neutral base products on the market.
Love the video! It’s been so hard to find swatches if the lip colours on line from real people, I feel like the brand photos on the website are sooo inconsistent it’s impossible to tell the actual shades. Would also love to know what mail polish your wearing, that colour is totally my vibe 🤩
We have a similar skin tone soooo this is very helpful with concealer 😆 unfortunately the cheek and lip products have things I’m allergic to in them but I really appreciated the color comparisons for if I’m future I want a blush or lip color like that. Thanks for the video ☺️
I actually wear this 5 minute face situation to work for the last couple of years when i'm not up for doing eyeshadow/mascara and i always feel beautiful when i do...

I never thought to buy blush in the 90s, and just cheated my lipstick onto my cheeks.
Good fair neutral shades are so hard to come by. That concealer looks incredible on you! Congratulations on your perfect shade match!
Literally said “wow” out loud when you said that concealer was all you had on! No green color corrector? So happy for you!
I absolutely love how much joy saying "vermilion border " brings you 😄

Your skin looks luminous, natural & beautiful. Your daily look is very Victorian.
I think her choice of a slightly warm muted rose shade of blush & lip crayon was actually a good one since it is probably the most universally flattering by not being too orange/warm or too pink/cool for people with light/fair skintones.

I had purchased a ““ back up“ when I saw it at TJ Maxx and I’m glad I did although I try to buy very minimal amount of back ups but I use that product almost on a daily basis and love it dearly. Thank you for introducing it to me and I hope it does stay continued.
Congrats on your marriage! I am so very happy for you and Joe. I have enjoyed your Instagram photos.
Your excitement finding out about and saying "the vermilion border" is so precious! 💕 I do not have acess to this brand here in Brazil, but enjoyed your review of the products anyway! I love your aproach towards color, tones and textures and feel like I can always leave a video with more on my mind ✨
Looks great! Did you use their shade match tool on their website? I'm wondering how accurate it is.
How exciting!
that lip and cheek has such cute packaging !!
So glad I found your channel through the Haus Labs review!
This concealer shade matches my skin perfectly too! I wouldn’t have picked it up if it weren’t for you! 🥰
Wow, that base looks amazing on u! I cannot wait to try some of this line. Bravo for this review👏🏻 Loving ur nail and lip color too btw!
Hannah, congrats to you & Joe 🍾🥂
Does the blush have fragrance? I’m good for blush at the moment, but this will go on my wish list for the future. 🌸
There is no fragrance in any of these products
@@lannievast5094 thank you 🙏🏻
Congrats on 40K! Very interesting video! I am intrigued by the concealer
yay, I hope you love it as much as I do!
Also, I still am hoping you’ll try that tower 28 cream blush one day! It’s so perfect for your taste.
Hi Allison do you have any neutral toned concealer recommendations other than the Milani where i can find in Europe? Thank you .
@@allisonn9036 Are you referring to Magic Hour? When Hannah opened Heliotrope I was instantly reminded of Magic Hour (which, ironically, I just ordered!).
2nd Milan's concealer. It's my fav for the under eyes since it is so thin but also quite pigmented.
@@mizshellytee yes! Magic hour is amazing. Have you received it yet? Do you love it 😍
Do you think the next shade up in neutral (LX 050) will also work for light olive undertones? LX 010 seems a bit light and thanks to you, I'm coming to the revelation I may be light olive as well. :)
I love your 5 min makeup look and the rationale behind it. You look beautiful 😊👌🏼
Oh I need to see if this is available in the UK. Fair neutral concealers are so so hard to find. Just now I use the Ere Perez arnica concealer in Latte which does work for me but the Rose Inc one looks outstanding!
Rose Inc. is stocked on Space NK in the UK. I've been eyeing it up there for a week now! 😅💕
@@XKINA ooh YEY!!!!!
I'm curious what you're perfect shade of blush looks like. Could you provide a visual example of the shade you're thinking of in a paint swatch or another item you have in the shade?
hannah they discontinued the elf active lip and cheek!!! i couldnt even get it since they dont ship to my country. sigh how disappointing
This is one of my favorite looks. Strong lip and cheek. Bare eyes and strong brow. I call it my baby eyes look. Looks great on you!
Have you tried the NudeStix blush in Bare Back?
Lol I love the description box, the reviews are good for this concealer so I’m having to fight the want for this! I just bought some drugstore concealers so I will need to get through those first so thanks for reminding me 😂
Ooh. Exciting, I have the same issue with concealer not being neutral enough. My skin is translucent white, in the winter I am . I often have to mix and Violet color correct or gray concealer and foundation out.
The cheek color matches your nails! What color is that?
Do you wear sunscreen with this concealer?¿ Wondering how well it gets along with spf, since some products work great on bare skin but don’t play well with sunscreens!
I have the same shade issue you do! Initially I didn't even glance at this new brand but now I really want to see if this concealer could finally be my match!
Update: it's a good match! 👍 it's now my go to when I need to get out the door and look natural but put together ❤️
I really love your shirt! Actually, I really like the entire color palette and the low saturation of your video today, I kinda reminds me of a Wes Anderson movie. :)
Hi Hannah, congrats on your marriage! What is the brush that you used to apply the blush? It looks like the perfect size/ shape!
I think I'm gonna try the tilda swinton baby bird look tomorrow 😌
I have an oily t zone do you think the concealer would work for me? I have the same skin tone like you so I'm really interested in it :)
Your hair is so beautiful....what colour is it and what products do you use please
Would also love to know what mail polish your wearing, that colour is totally my vibe 🤩
it's Toasted Sugar by Static Nails!
So very lovely! I’m happy you found such a lovely match for you!
Congrats on 40K, Hannah! 🎊
thank you Ameerah!
This face (your face) is a complete work of art, these tones may feel basic but they look so very painterly on your skin tone.
Yes, it’s sooo Tilda Swinton! I thought of her before you mentioned her.
WOW this concealer was made for you!
We have a similar skin tone soooo this is very helpful with concealer 😆 unfortunately the cheek and lip products have things I’m allergic to in them but I really appreciated the color comparisons for if I’m future I want a blush or lip color like that. Thanks for the video ☺️
Taking a break from ogling your wedding photos to watch this!
I actually wear this 5 minute face situation to work for the last couple of years when i'm not up for doing eyeshadow/mascara and i always feel beautiful when i do...
This is exactly the review I needed!
