Since you know he is on Team Melo, all you have to do is BALLOUT like him and you can be seen by Team Melo or other shoe circuit teams. Yes you can play AAU next summer. You don't have to be in public school to play AAU. There are lots of AAU players that are homeschool. You kinda have an advantage because you get to put in work while other students are at school. The problem is that you won't have any film, so you will have to go to tryouts and BALLOUT.

Both shoe circuits are great to be apart of. You will get tons of exposure and you will also improve your game playing in either circuit. Make sure you work on your weaknesses so when you get to that level players wont be able to expose you. Yea, you need to leave whatever team that is making you play center just because you are tall. If you can shoot and got handles, then there is no way you should be playing center. how tall are you?
