Hi friends!! Today, I'm using the "dress like the aesthetic" effect from Tik Tok to choose my outfits! I thought this would be a fun challenge to see what aesthetics I like and have some fun with the thrifted pieces I have in my wardrobe! I'm taking you behind at the scenes as I put each look together from (mostly) thrifted items. Enjoy!!

You probably have lots of Chicago thrift store recommendations already, but I live and die by Family Thrift on Milwaukee Ave. I swear there’s magic in those racks🤓🤪🙏🏻🙌🏻 It’s also just a couple of storefronts down from the BIGGEST Village Discount Outlet location I know of in the city. A perfect combo afternoon, IMO. Bonus option: eat at 90 Miles Cafe or get an ice cream sundae at Margie’s, both right around the corner. In any case, enjoy a bomb ass thrifting city!

Wow the creativity is spectacular. I never would have thought to put a bralette over a button down but it totally worked and also kind of gives off that corset trend vibe too. Great inspiration and ideas for what I already have in my own closet. :)

I love the 70's look. You nailed it. So cute on you. The e-girl would have been better is you had gone bold with the t-shirt tucked in to the mini skirt and done a black lip. To do emo you have to go bold. The white button down didn't do it. Thanks for the fun video. Have a great week.

Wow, with your hair like that and the thicker darker eyebrows, you look just like Tori Spelling (during her 90210 days). The vintage outfit is straight-up right-on groovy 1970s. I wore the exact same outfit IN the 70s. The egirl outfit was pretty good, actually! Great job.

Your vintage outfit was _fabulous, dah-ling;_ but, I may have you beat for the oldest piece in the closet: I've an original SEARS sweater that belonged to my mother in the 60's. The tag even shows a girl wearing bell bottoms! Love that sweater... now I have to find it... :) Keep smiling! Shannon A.

im in the same boat with the racks and closets. i really need to take some time to go to home depot and get some wall shelves and poles to hang on the wall. my husband was all "i might as well make the garage my clothing area". i mean its not a bad idea ....haha

I like to see you thrift sometimes, but to be honest, even though I ATCH EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS-my favorite content, BAR NONE-is when you style up entire outfits-whether that be with newly thrifted pieces, or you use what you already have in your closet! By the way, I actually like it when you bring out pieces I have seen before and then you put together a new and different look with it! You are obviously very gifted in seeing the potential in an individual piece, but then you bring an entire outfit someplace very special, as you build your look piece by piece!! I especially liked your first outfit-definitely very 70’s (And I should know 😁!), and I loved the hat with the jeans and little sweater-finishing it off with the perfect scarf! The hat looks great on you, and I don’t remember ever seeing you with denim blue worn up around your face/hair along with the jeans-it just made your blonde hair and pretty complexion even more striking! Great job as always!!! Please keep up the STYLING videos!! I draw a lot of inspiration-Bringing new ideas to the my local thrift stores, but ALSO, using what I already have to create some looks similar to what I see you pull together! I'm a minimalist (I own 40 pieces of clothing for casual, workout, lounge and work corporate). I wear color, don't actually own anything white or denim or t-shirts or sneakers🤷.
I wear either a black suit or navy suit and colored, vintage blouses (I own 6) with black shoes to work on the daily. For casual I wear cords & sweater in the cool months and a dress in the warm months....
Good thing fashion is subjective!!!
