TAYLOR! Girl, thank you so much for being vulnerable in this video and finally telling me that it’s okay to get rid of those clothes that are my “someday I will fit back into this” items. Feeling inspired to go through my closet and get rid of the things that don’t make my body feel good right now. You’re amazing. If you’re ever looking for a thrifting buddy in Southern Wyoming, Northern Colorado, let me know!
Taylor this is one of my favorites from you. Filming this took guts - kudos girl and so inspiring. I think women of all ages and sizes can relate. Also, the beauty of thrifting is that new, even better pieces will be coming your way soon. 💗💗💗
This is legitimately radical! I haven’t ever seen this experience shared online, but it’s comforting and empowering to watch and should start a trend. It was also nostalgic🥺 We remember animal print Taylor! I didn’t know that phase was over. She was an icon, a legend, the moment.
Right here with you re: the body changes over the past two years. But once I finally got my act together to donate the stuff that didn’t fit, I was excited to thrift again for replacements and MAN it feels better to finally have pants that I don’t hate again!
Taking a pause in the video to say you are amazing. Not only is your style fun and adventurous, but you are a kick ass, beautiful human! You’re doing an awesome thing tackling your fear. I wish I could like the video a thousand times 🙂
LOVED the "REAL TALK MOMENTS", it's SO NECESSARY in this day and age. We're here for ya girl 💓 ... as women our bodies change every few years and for a myriad of reasons and with 3yrs of pandemonium and MAJOR life changes, we have ALL felt or are feeling this. Also, now you have room for new looks, new energy and new iconic fashion moments!
So proud of you. This is a step a lot of us have to take at some point in our lived, and I'm thankful to have been allowed to witness you go through this. Thanks for letting us be here with you, friend!
I go through my closet all the time now to purge things, but way back when, one of the first times I did it, it was so hard accepting things didn't fit me anymore (both because I had grown a few sizes AND because some stuff I straight up had since elementary school). But once those pieces were gone and I didnt face them everyday, unable to wear them, I feel so much more confident getting dressed. And I basically have never "missed" a piece I got rid of. The process is hard but it feels so good once that stuff is OUT!!!!
Thank you for sharing how hard it can be when our bodies change over time. My body has been shifting because of a medical condition, and I can't wear my beloved jeans right now. You've really helped me to realize that I need to embrace a looser style of pants right now, and to enjoy the chance to try a new look. Your positivity and honesty are so helpful! You go girl!
I feel you girl. 27 and struggling with accepting that my body has just changed and refusing to go up a pants size even if I really should. Thank you for this video.
I don't understand why people are so critical when it comes to women's bodies. We gain weight, we lose weight for various reasons. It's life, it's change, and as long as you're healthy, it's okay. Love you Taylor!🥰
So happy for you that you purged not only your closets, but your self. I went from a size 8 to a 14 during the upheaval and I know how hard it is not to feel incredibly self conscious. Keep loving the person you are whatever your body looks like at any given time. You are special.
This one hit lady! I love all of your content but this one is so relatable to everyone who has undergone some transformation during the pandemic. I did a similar purge recently and it felt like I wasn't just getting rid of my clothes, but I was getting rid of the life I used to have and the person I used to be. I know that sounds dramatic, but when you are giving away all of your going out clothes because you don't see yourself going out much in the future, it makes you confront your new life. You are doing the nitty gritty of self-care, and it is so hard, but what you are really doing is making room for yourself to grow into a new person. Xoxo
TAYLOR, YOU ARE MAKING ME CRY!!! Our bodies can change and thats’s okay! You are a stunningly beautiful person, inside and out…never forget that please! Kat
IMO you are so beautiful, and you are my favorite RUclips thrifter! I think second hand shopping is so helpful for accommodating our bodies and the phases they shift through; it’s cheaper, more sustainable, and we can redonate when pieces have served their purpose.
I am 71 and love your videos as they are so relatable. I have gained and lost so much over the years. I tend to love buying clothes but I restrict myself to the stuff that are similar. As a result I have at least 10 pairs of jeans and dozens of tshirt...long sleeve for winter and short for summer. Over the last year I started buying button down shirts and sweatshirts. Ok then came the thrifted purses and now leather coats and jackets. Yes my clothes share 3 closets. I will need to do a clean out before spring and then again next fall. Thank you for the motivation. You are beautiful inside and out.
The editing and intro were sooo good! And thank you for the realness. Over the last year I’ve let go of several clothing items that no longer fit me….however I haven’t been able to tackle my jeans. I have so many that I love that are not even close to fitting but I don’t want to part with. I relate to your struggle through this process!
I feel you because i am getting closer to 40, not working at a skateboard teacher anymore, got thyroïd problems (gaining waigh for no reason and being exausted) plus the pandemic. I gain waight and had to change all my closet.
I've just stumbled across your channel and subsequently this video. firstly, i'm definitely subscribing, i love your style! secondly, i've just done the same thing after gaining healthy weight over the past year and it was extremely hard at times! for me, fashion, especially thrifted, is such a passion of mine, but getting dressed every day was daunting because i knew i had so many clothes that didn't fit me anymore. getting rid of them was actually really cathartic and helped me fall in love with my closet all over again. I'm so glad this was a positive experience for you! something i've learnt that i thought i'd share with you - clothes are made to fit your body, you body is not made to fit into clothes!
This was my all time favorite video from you. So real. So humble. So much of your raw and awesome personality poured into this one. Thank you for sharing. We love you!!!
I went through this same thing starting last year and it’s still a battle. Growing out of my clothes physically but not mentally ready to let go. It’s really hard to go through but I’m really proud of you for doing what you did. You’re so courageous and thank you for sharing this journey with us! These are my favorite videos. And nothing feels better then a clean space!
Wow well done! Extra tip if you need one…change all your hangers to be the same, I have thin velvet non slip hangers and everything looks a little tidier and you can fit more into a space. I did a huge clear out and try to regularly do one. I think lots of us have ‘extra pounds’ so thank you for sharing with us 💗
I really loved your videos and looked forward every time you posted them..I've watched you since the start and I've seen the changes of yourself especially since you moved to where you are now ..sometimes if you have a 9 to 5 job things get so hectic and you're on the go all the time the big difference when you stay home and do what you're doing now...I'm a 70 years old old lady but I liked watching young women keeping themselves trim and terrific..and it does feel good 👍
Hi Taylor! You made my eyes tear up because I can relate to this video so much! I used to be super active until I had to have bilateral ankle surgeries. I'm still struggling two years later and this process has taken a beating on my body. I gained weight on some parts of it and I lost all muscle and strength on my legs. Plus I can only wear tennis shoes. All of this has made it really hard to get dressed because I cannot use/wear the things I used to but getting creative and accepting that my body is going through a lot has helped me feel better. Focusing on moving forward and on having a strong and healthy body is the way to go. I can see how hard it was for you to tackle this and I'm glad you did and you shared the process with us. Thanks for being so transparent with your followers and I hope that you feel better letting go of the things that just don't work for you at this time. 🤗💕
Taylor, I must say, you are a beautiful girl and please know all women go through this. I have done this a million times, and yes it’s hard. But we as women naturally change in-to-women when we get older. I admire you for having the strength to be vulnerable to your supporters. I watch you every week because you are FUN, funny, talented and so much fun to watch! Can’t wait for next Sunday! :)
Thank you for this video! I have gained weight and had a closet full of clothes and nothing just really made me feel good about myself. I am purging now and styling things that are actually making me feel better. ❤TYSM!
Thanks for being so vulnerable with us! I broke my leg in 2020 and it led to my body completely changing in its shape and function and getting rid of clothing was hard at first for me too. It’s been a struggle as I’ve aged to gain weight and accept it, but it gets easier! I highly recommend the podcast maintenance phase, it will change you whole idea on your body and health and it’s really helped me on this journey of loving my body. I also bought your overalls since I just sold the pair I loved that was too small 😘
WOW, love this. I realize it’s an older video, but it was probably suggested because I watch a lot of declutters. The majority speed up the decision making to 5x over music. This is actually helpful. Great job!!
LOVED this video. Really appreciate your honesty- you are not alone. I’m surrounded by 5 garbage bags full of clothes that I don’t or no longer can wear that will be donated.
Taylor you are very relatable and inspiring, thankyou. What I’m trying to do is remind myself that my body is amazing because it is strong and healthy and gets me around to see this beautiful world. I recently lost my best friend to brain cancer and she didn’t, and no longer has, the opportunities that my body gives me. I keep trying to remember this when I feel bad about my body, that is one of the many lessons she has given me. 💚from Australia.
THIS was the very best closet declutter I have EVER seen!!! You are reminding me of something I once read that said "the state of your bedroom is the state of your mind". Our closets are included in that!
I think you're wonderful and brave. In our world it's not easy to admit we've gained weight. But it's a part of life. We fluctuate. But it's so hard to see it and clothes not fit anymore. Especially when you have such a beautifully curated wardrobe! But you are so beautiful inside and out and you will find many more treasures as you continue to thrift. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
We women go through many body changes in our lives….after high school, college, marriage, kids, midlife, and menopause. it is hard but I believe we need to find those pieces that make us feel beautiful or at least better about where we are at while we pursue health. Hugs to you you are not alone!
I always skip the boring part in videos, you are genuinely entertainer, I didn't skip! Love seeing all your clothing archives. Love love love your videos ❤️ 45 mins of closet de cluttered video, so worth it!
Thank you for being so vulnerable! It’s not easy and takes a lot of courage to even talk about it, let alone to the whole internet. Know that this is normal and natural, we never stay the same our whole lives, whether it be our relationships, body, personality, where we live… nothing is permanent! We’re always changing and evolving and that’s okay! You’re always growing into the better version of yourself ❤️ sending you all the love!!
Taylorrrr!! You did such an amazing job!!! You got rid of so much and I loved watching the whole process!! Every time I clean out my closet it literally takes all day too and I have several mental breakdowns.. you are not alone!! ♥️🎉
For what it's worth, I personally thought the standout item was the dress at 28:30. So chic, slimming and unusual! I enjoyed this video tremendously. Tysm .
I'm almost 2 years postpartum, x 2 pregnancies. Once I lost baby weight from the first, I got pregnant again, so I haven't been my "old self" for 5 years. It is genuinely hard to look at clothes that used to fit, and they don't fit the same anymore. But you know, I'm having fun finding my new style, and feeling comfortable in my skin. The cherub shirt ..... can I just say that your face LIT UP when you were showing it! The other honeymoon pieces though, other than the jumpsuit, were being kept out of obligation/guilt. Keep the pieces that bring you joy like the cherub shirt and jumpsuit!
Getting over the ‘someday goal clothing’ was a huge step for me around body acceptance. Breaking that toxic diet culture shame cycle changed my life around my closet. I am so happy you are here. Also, great job. So much work.
Recently I went through a health journey that required a total overhall of my life. After surgery I went to put my jeans on that I havent worn in several months- nearly a year- and they didn't fit. My shorts from last summer- didn't fit. Peices I've loved forever- didn't fit. I went up two sizes in one year. I was devasted. Yesterday I did a closet overhall. I'm getting rid of everything that doesn't fit and starting over. Thank you for the video. It helps that I'm not alone.
You look so great! I have gone through this after each kid. After my first baby, my body and lifestyle had changed so drastically that I had to get rid of most of my clothing, but I could only stand to do it gradually! Things were pretty bare bones for a long while after that, but I slowly thrifted a new wardrobe. Unfortunately, while I found some cute things- none of it was very special or flattering. After my second, my body changed more than ever, so I owned clothing in such an insane size range.Ot was all just thrifted basics and in a way I needed that simplicity, but I was missing being stylish in a big way. During the pandemic I finally started to branch out and get some style back in my life by trying out more modern styles and even some classic ones by purchasing items in my current size using secondhand resale sites. Unfortunately, I got very sick and then lost a ton of weight. I have finally regained that weight... and then some. It has been such a rollercoaster. I recently went through ALL of my clothing including bins of work wear from when I worked full time and maternity wear and clothes I might wear if I gain weight or lose weight. It was very emotional, but the remaining items are such a better reflection of my style, size and life now and I am so at peace just accepting where I am now and enjoying this phase. I hope that is true for you too!
Most of us gain weight as we age. If I could tell my younger me, "girl, don't be so hard on yourself" I would have been so much more ok with me. You look wonderful and thank you for baring all. You did good and you inspired me to get rid of the clothes I cannot fit anymore.
You have helped me so much I’m getting rid off stuff that doesn’t fit me anymore. I’m also putting outfits together so I have room in my closets. I’m amazed how much shoes you have you have beautiful clothes that you decided to keep. Thankyou for trying on dresses you have beautiful vintage dresses thankyou and I hope you continue to show more videos. I’m from Canada B.C.
I loved this so much! And I can totally relate to how difficult it is to let go of clothes that used to fit and that you used to love wearing and now...don't. So thank you for putting this out there, it's strangely comforting to know that this happens to other people to (just reading the comments here is amazing too!)
Taylorrrrr I'm so obsessed with you and your style!! Not only am I impressed with your courage and vulnerability, I'm blown away by your stamina!!! The fact that you brought us along for this journey is no small feat! You're showing us what strength is, inside and out!
Omg keeping my peepers peeled for when that geometric sweater vest tank goes up in your closet! 17:52 thank you for your vulnerability and sharing with us, t! it’s a really powerful thing & I hope you can feel all the love from the comment section!
I love that you were brave and showed your vulnerability. We all have those clothes we dream of wearing but don't because it makes our body uncomfortable. I am glad you show that it is time to declutter and remove pieces that don't make us confidence. It is better to our honor our bodies by wearing things that make us confident and making space for new pieces.
This is your breakout moment. I’ve always enjoyed your videos but this one is another level. You stepped into woman status here. HILARIOUS. GENUINE. REAL.
This is the first video of yours I've ever seen. I kept thinking that you look so good, just healthy, beautiful, and glowing! I've recently struggled with not fitting into my clothes too, but finding newer, cool pieces that do fit and make me feel good has been great. I also realized that even when I was smaller I kept trying to fit into clothes that didn't fit, which just doesn't make sense! Thank you for a realistic and satisfying video.
It’s the most natural thing in the world to have your body change over the years, facing and accepting it, is scary but ultimately cathartic, I have been the same dress size since I was in my twenties, finally accepted I have gone up a size, over the years, it happens, and there is nothing wrong with it happening 🥰
I've just been through the exact same thing, with cleaning out all my pants that just didn't fit me anymore. It was emotionally exhausting and I was left with only 3 pairs. What helped me was reworking the way I thought about it, from a loss to an opportunity - thinking of all the fabulous new pieces I can pick up now that I have the space in my draw.
Girl don't feel bad! I need to purge my closet soon too. I have way too many things that I no longer wear or can't wear anymore. I gained 12 pounds of muscle in the last year and went from a size 2 to a size 6/8 in pants. Lots of vintage Levi's that I am sad to see go but alas It gives me an excuse to buy new things that do fit.
Your beautiful no matter your size, your just falling in love with some things in your closet you forgot you owned. Great video Taylor❤️ I know this was hard but you did a fabulous job❤️❤️❤️
Taylor I just went through the same thing. I took a week off from work and had to organize my things.I cleaned out half of my closet because the clothes don't fit me anymore...I had some new clothes I have never worn either. Thank you for your honesty...that's just life. We go through changes and it's okay. It is a lot of work but it's all worth it at the end. You did an awesome job! Yes, be more kind to yourself! 💕
I went up a full size in the last 2 years not so much the pandemic but giving up smoking also I hit 61yrs so I had 6 closets like you full of stuff that no longer fitted, was not my style anymore and stuff that was just sentimental that I never wore. I had a major clear out I still have 6 closets but now they are only half full and the biggest boon is most of my stuff actually goes together now so it’s super easy to mix and match. I did do a big colour purge as well only keeping my favourite colours and that helped. Loved your video 😊
We have all felt upset when we aren’t as tiny as we used to be but hanging on to clothes that no long fit just makes it more painful. Only having clothes that fit is such a wonderful feeling. You are stunning and many women would love to look like you, celebrate the beautiful woman you are today.
I know that every person interprets their appearance subjectively and, sometimes, nothing anyone says can have an impact, but I think you look amazing 💕
OMG the dvf dress you're getting rid of, the zebra dress, and the leopard dress were my faves! I relate to your concern about size fluctuation. I had the hardest time letting go of my diesel jeans when I went from a size 4 to 8.
Real talk though... You're honestly so beautiful inside and out I know you're feeling self-conscious and vulnerable but you are gorgeous girl keep being you ❤️
I hope you poshmark those name brand things. The Gucci Leather pants and the DVF stuff def sell ♥️. That white dress was beautiful on you! Such a festival dress ✨👏🏻💕
One tip I learned which works well. When you are switching out for the season, turn all of the hangers backwards. If by the end of the season, the hanger was not turned, it should go. The only exception should be dressy occasion outfits which you obviously wear less but you don't want to rebuy, especially if they look great on you and you have a wedding or event to go to.
I have put on weight also, I understand how it feels to let go of your favourites that no longer fit 😕, on the up side, it’s a freeing achievement. Thanks for the encouragement.
I really appreciate your heart to heart moment you had. Recently, my body has been changing more than I would care to admit and I have gained a decent amount of weight. It’s honestly been tough but I really needed that reminder that it is okay to gain weight and have a changing body :)
Well done! Getting real, getting it sorted and getting it out the door for someone else to love! You get the exhilaration which comes with a reset and refresh. Not to mention falling back in love with your lost loves - hello cute straw and beaded bags!
OHHHH my god I am a thrifter as well, I even found a thrift store in Romania when I was on a business trip with my husband!!! I absolutely love it! And I can also remember the price I paid for an item 3 years ago, but cant remember what I had for breakfast:0 ! I have sooooooo many clothes! I love them all, they are my treasures! However, my closet system actually came off the wall in one of my closets! I have stuff in 4 closets! I knew it was time to clean out. Also I have decided, my weight right now is my weight, and I have to only keep the clothes that look good. I have been scouring RUclips videos to help me.....Yours....Inspired me! I honestly feel like we are the same person!!!!! Thank you! Oh and I also love....SHES got to go:)
girl!! thank you x a million for this. I have probably 15 pairs of thrifted jeans from the last 3-4 years and almost none of them fit anymore. I dread going through and accepting that they don’t serve me anymore and you’ve given me the motivation to clean out my closet today!
Thanks for sharing. You deserve applause for going through all of it at one time. I find I just get too overwhelmed looking at a stuffed closet so have gotten to the point where when I open the closet, it is an easy and happy experience. While I May love something, it has to make my life easy.
I'm beyond grateful that I ran into your channel. You had me crying in this video. My body change has taken a huge toll on my mental health as well so I really appreciate your vulnerability
This is the best closet clean out video I've ever found. thank you for being vulnerable. I feel the same way about my body and about my clothes, i love all my clothes and hate parting with them even if they don't fit. your video really made me realize i just have to accept my body has changed and i gotta let the stuff that doesn't fit me go. this was great to watch and it inspired me to clean my closet in a new way.
I am literally laughing out loud with some of the footage. You’re so funny and so relatable it’s so entertaining. Love following you - favorite youtuber.
Great video! ❤️ to purge. ❤️ to splurge aprés purge. 😄 I know this was posted 7 days ago and probably filmed much earlier, but please keep the 90s does 70s red platform sandals! Those problems are soooo fixable! If you love the shoes, find a cobbler/shoe repair! Maybe $20 for new heel caps and glue soles!
TAYLOR! Girl, thank you so much for being vulnerable in this video and finally telling me that it’s okay to get rid of those clothes that are my “someday I will fit back into this” items. Same!!!

“I fall in love with pretty things, and I just have to have them” is literally the story of my life/wardrobe.

The metabolism really slows down in late 20s.
Exactly. I'm also 27 and was always slim. I could eat whatever I want. Now I'm struggle since 5 years with ups and downs. Still can't except my body.
Same I’m really going through it right now
Size 2, Size 4, Size 6, Size 8
It's you who we appreciate!!
No matter the size, your style rules!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ah man ... good job ! If only I could hit the like button 25 times ! A 45 minutes video ... what a treat. Now I want to declutter ...
I laughed so much because I am also guilty of buying for future balls and tea parties that ain't never gonna happen 🤣 great honest vid !
I don't understand why people are so critical when it comes to women's bodies. We gain weight, we lose weight for various reasons. It's life, it's change, and as long as you're healthy, it's okay. Love you Taylor!🥰

Me too! ❤️

This gave me the power to get rid of jeans that have moved with me five times but haven’t fit in five years!
IMO you are so beautiful, and you are my favorite RUclips thrifter!

Omg!! Loving the intro so far and haven't finished and already liked it
Thank you so much 🤗
WOW, love this.
chalk in jewelry boxes and purses absorbs moisture.
Such a wonderful video! Be kind to yourself is such a take away! We all need to remember that!
This is the most entertaining closet clean out of 2022
Getting over the ‘someday goal clothing’ was a huge step for me around body acceptance. Breaking that toxic diet culture shame cycle changed my life around my closet. I am so happy you are here. Also, great job. So much work.
I am 1:30 into the video and wanted to thank you for your vulnerability. I 1000% relate. I am of course going to continue watching, but thank you
Recently I went through a health journey that required a total overhall of my life.
Taylor, so many of us are in the same boat. You are correct, IT IS OKAY. Thank you for being so brave, authentic, and so so so BEAUTIFUL 🥰🤩😘 much love
thank you for your vulnerability and sharing with us, t! it’s a really powerful thing & I hope you can feel all the love from the comment section!
Super video, feels so honest, full of nice little stories about the pieces and the evaluation.
Very inspiring. Good work!
Ma'am when the lamp fell on you 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I feel you sister
Loved this. Loved that you showed most/all of the pieces and talked about them. Was great
This is your breakout moment.
Good on you Taylor, it's hard when clothes don't fit ,you are very brave
I've just been through the exact same thing, with cleaning out all my pants that just didn't fit me anymore. It was emotionally exhausting and I was left with only 3 pairs. What helped me was reworking the way I thought about it, from a loss to an opportunity - thinking of all the fabulous new pieces I can pick up now that I have the space in my draw.
Oh my goodness! Waaay too many clothes, but you are adorable. Happy I found your channel.
Thank you Taylor for your honesty and vulnerability in this episode. You go girrl!
girl you are awesome, i wish we were neighbors cuz i love your give ups and have a ton of your ' keep' items to give up
Taylor I just went through the same thing.
I had to stop the video to comment , and tell you that you are beautiful and real and I love your style 🥰
We have all felt upset when we aren’t as tiny as we used to be but hanging on to clothes that no long fit just makes it more painful. Only having clothes that fit is such a wonderful feeling. You are stunning and many women would love to look like you, celebrate the beautiful woman you are today.
Thank you for being real and vonarable like this, most woman get it girl. I had to get all new jeans recently because I gained a little weight❤
Oh my gosh Taylor!!!! Watching this makes me miss you so much 🥰🥰 you’re the style queen!!! And sooo funny 😂
Also I respect the heck out of you ❤️ love what you’re doing in this space!!
That purple cherub top is to die for! Ugh, you're so lucky to have it in your wardrobe. You did an amazing job decluttering.
2 pairs of jeans 👖 that fit is better than 15 that don't!!!
More power to you
This was honest and real
A big well done
Thanks for sharing. You deserve applause for going through all of it at one time. I find I just get too overwhelmed looking at a stuffed closet so have gotten to the point where when I open the closet, it is an easy and happy experience. While I May love something, it has to make my life easy.
The bag 37:15 was so cute! Also growing older and covid hit us all hard. We're growning body and soul. Thanks for sharing 👏🏼
The intro was my favorite part! I have a yes on all those things lol!
Wow!!! Impressive clean out! Bummed I missed out on the Carrie dress it was fab!!!
Frame the honeymoon shirt!! It would look so cool in a big shadow box!
You did great! I’m in the same boat and you’re brave to do this. I’m watching the entire 45 min 😂. Thank you so much for sharing your journey!
