From Leo: I have two G&L guitars that have the PTB system, (one treble knob, one bass knob). It offers a lot of tones that are not normally available and it easy to learn. I like it so much, I have converted a couple of Stratocasters to the PTB system. The trem systems are very responsive and stable. G&L seems underappreciated, but are great guitars. There are two more on my short list to buy.

Beautiful guitars! But the name "Nighthawk" having to be changed to "Skyhawk" because of a metal band already using that name - that doesn't make sense. Gibson has a guitar called the "Nighthawk", but maybe when the band broke-up they stopped caring about their trademarked name? I like "Skyhawk" better anyways, being primarily an at home daytime player, plus it reminds me of the name "Sky dog", the late Duane Allman's nickname. Beautiful guitars, and great playing too - inspired by the beautiful guitars?!

Isn't the Skyhawk is just Music Man Cutlass and Stingray?

Change the espadas inlays to dots and offer it in good old American auto colours 🤔🤔🤔

Black and tortoise shell makes any guitar look great. I might have a new outfit in mind 🤔

Hey guys, great video. Lee's playing has improved tremendously. Kudos, man.
Can anyone explain to me why Leo didn't go back to fender in 85, when CBS left and the company wemt back to its roots?

What for ? Leo wanted to make better instruments and he did that with Music Man and G&L. He'd already started CLF research and that was his passion. Going back to Fender he would only have been an employee whereas with CLF he called the shots. As an example the G&L Legacy was a Paul Gagon design that evolved after Leo's passing. Leo, had absolutely no interest in rebadging a guitar he made almost 40 years previously - he saw the S-500 as the peak of strat designs and the MFD pickups as the future.

TBF they might have been reluctant to use 'Nighthawk' as Gibson already use it.

Hi, American here (from Fullerton!), long time viewer of this channel and I'll be visiting London in December. Trying to squeeze in some time to visit the Anderton's store. What else is close enough to the store to warrant some touristy visits so I can convince my wife to spend time to head to Guildford while there?
