I’m in the Army and currently deployed and I truly enjoy being able to watch these videos you make, they really help me get through the day and I’m very impressed with all the work you do and the content you create for us, thank you Sir
Just upgraded to DeWalt 18V XR system after using Ryobi One+ for a number of years. After years being employed and reaching my mind 50s with years of DIY experience I've decided to change career and become a self employed handyman. That storage system would be fantastic, and would help organise my manshed. They look well built.
For me DeWalt speaks quality, used the same hammer drill day in day out for many years, and the Toughsystem 2.0 DXL looks to be the same quality product. Great show, always unbiased and informative.
I love how the box is compatible with all the older models of boxes they sell so you don’t have to buy into a whole new system. It’s really great that you’ve made magnum tools available!
So I’m an electro mechanical engineer on a factory that is all ramped (relatively) I currently run the tough system for my every day hand tools, t stack for my power tools as they arnt needed every day and couldn’t justify spending the money for a lot more tough system boxes, and I rather the smaller t stack boxes so I can put one power tool in each box with all the kit and PPE for that one tool to make it grab and go. I then have a roll box that stays at the workshop, this would be a great replacement for that, and would give a better base to push around the factory and click in the tools n kit that I need per breakdown. Will be a box that I seriously look at getting once they are more readily available and the price becomes more competitive, thankyou for the video, one more little con that I see is that if u put Tstak and Toughsystem boxes on top of it, you will loose a handle to be able to comfortably push the cart
I like how wide they are. I have the t-stak and toughsystem and that adapter plate is a nice addition and makes it convenient to mix and match containers.
I am still rocking the OG toughsystem one boxes I love the look of the new ones, but, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! 7 years on and still going strong 💪🏼
I've had the tough system for a few years now and definitely stands the test of time as I have abused them and still going strong. Love the vids keep it up.
I really like the look of the dxl because it look closer to a mechanics tool roll box than the standard plastic stacks that everyone else makes. Makes it look a lot more heavy duty, but I think it would still look good in any workshop.
Dewalts engineering is amazing, they have come far, dewalt was once Elu, i have so many Elu tools which were brought in the 80s by my dad, we are still using them today, Dewalt all the way.
great new addition to DeWalt system started collecting tools in 1963 with Britool tools as a motor mechanic still buying tools today over the years I realised draw storage is the best way to organise all your tools
I definitely love DeWalt. And the fact that they plan ahead to make things work together like this is one of the reason. They truly care about their customers.
Another DeWalt fanboy here with ShadowFoam in my ToughSystem Series 1 boxes. I've since accumulated more tools that require a home. I think I see a Series 2.0 DXL in my future. Thanks for sharing!
Currently working on building up my toolset after years of having odd bits. Going with dewalt and this man is going to cost me a fortune 😂 top vids as always!
The DeWalt XL. For me it is best suited for around the immediate area around the workshop. Or if you are based at a large indoor facility or factory. Tough enough for most job sites with solid even flooring. Thank you for taking the time not only to review it. By giving the accurate weights. Now that saved us taking the DeWalt to DeWhaleway “De railway” station. Or to a weigh bridge. 😂😂😂
Hello. Im a carpenter in The United States and I really Love your Videos. You always tell the people what they really need to know about the tools and how the foam can be used the best ways. Thank you for doing this. I appreciate all you do. Keep Going!!!!
Loving the size and backwards compatibility, I like your honest review about the cost and recommending getting cheaper options or alternatives especially if you’re looking for a shop or home workshop option.
Thanks for another great video. I currently use the tough system 2 .it's an excellent work horse that I push around a retirement village full of tools it's very heavy.cant imagine how this system would be of any use when you need to be mobile .work shop excellent storage . Your attention to detail on this video was awesome.well done mate . Best regards Paul
My husband and I are doing our first ever van conversion and are building up our DeWalt tool kit. The tough system boxes look great! Thanks for the video!
I bought a 2 drawer toughsystem unit on the back of one of your videos. Ive mounted the back of the car using the mounting rails and some plyeood to make a removable mount. I can pull the box out of the car in a couple of seconds and pull the mount out in a couple of minutes. So much better than ratchet strapping the box down. Of course the drawers are fully kitted out with 2 layers of shadowfoam in rach drawer.
I'm already in the DeWalt system with 2.0, t-stack, and Tough System so I would definitely consider this for my mobile needs. As far asc"who will buy this" , I think a lot of people are buying it if it's already sold out at most places. Is it expensive? Yes, but you have to pay for quality. Great video, thank you
That DeWalt system is the best I have seen. Tired of mismatched sizes and shapes all over the workshop, so I think i know where my money is going. Impressive!
Enjoyed your review and thoughts, being mainly workshop based I think you are right about there being equally efficient storage systems but at a more economical price. Keep up the great work going to the shows in the US and Europe also bringing us tools available via your web site. Congratulations to Dewalt on their 100 years.
Never been impressed by the toughsystem toolboxes (even though my shop is mainly yellow). But this DXL system… I hadn’t heard of it, but I now need one TODAY!
Clever folks over there at DeWalt. I love how sturdy they appear to be, not just cheap plastic. Thanks for the tip that Craftsman is compatible with this system!
Love the DXL system especially how the drawers extend fully. I bought some shadow foam for a chest I have and couldn't place anything in the back inch of foam as I wouldn't be able to get to my tools at the back so we'll done Dewalt
I'm just obsessed with all these tool systems, think this DeWalt is my favourite up to now; love the black and yellow colouring of DeWalt products. I've got DeWalt dreams with Parkside funds...
Ive been looking at the 2.0. Your review is amazing probably the best I have seen. I am in need of replacing my toolbox at work, constantly getting filled up with gridlnding dust. This looks like it will work a treat
That Dewalt tool system looks amazing. I love their tools anyway great quality and strong build which is useful when your a clumsy old sod like me 😁. Well presented yet again, your enthusiasm for the subject is infectious and great to see.
As a DIY driveway mechanic, this would be really useful for spanners, sockets, impacts etc. The wheels would get it out of the shed down a ramp and over my tarmac drive. Being modular it would go into the car to help if anyone had a breakdown. You could mod the worktop to put ply and a vice on top and hang a low entry jack down the side. The only thing I can’t mod is the price!
Another great video from the best tool organisation channel on youtube. Awesome to see the double wide drawers, a bit pricey but basically exactly what Im after. Will be really handy to have a tool chest that can be easily reconfigured and taken on site. Would love a Tshirt too!
Big fan of the toughsystem. I've been on board from the start. Even though I've nearly broken my fingers on the original style side clips several times 😂
Love the dewalt proper into them lol!! I don’t have the new system however have the 2 draw 2.0 system and it’s great. Thinking of getting another. Love the vids cheers
As a DIYer in a small flat obviously I dont have space for many tools but I enjoy the videos, even if I cant find space for most of the stuff 😁. Ever since I saw you show the compact tape measure recently I knew I *needed* it 😁 That was an instant buy now that I can 😁
@@ShadowFoam no, not any of the stack boxes yet just a couple tool boxes. i am not sure what brand i want to go for yet. After seeing many on your channel it is hard to pick one. lol

Love the look of this toolbox system. I’m just finishing up building my wife her dream she-shed / potting shed and this could be a great contender for all her gardening hand tools etc.
I can't wait to get mine! I was looking for something mobile and modular but with larger drawers because the pack out/standard thoughsystem/others are not enough big for my needs, so I am really stoked about the DXL!
Thanks for the Video! I must say, the last few months everyone is talking about DeWalt. Since (at least in my eyes) makita isn't really getting any better, I'm thinking to switch to Dewalt. Still have to inform myself about the quality and power a bit. But seeing how they pay so much attention to detail, i really fell in love with this though system. And thanks for telling us which Company owns which! It really helps in this Jungle of Brands!
Really impressive storage system, the seals on the draws are a really nice feature. Absolutely perfect for site work. I wish Bosch would develop a system like this!
@@ShadowFoam Indeed, very impressive Bosch line up, I'm in the process of changing my storage systems, so many choices, pros and cons. Already deep into LBOXX. Organisation is improving now I'm using Shadow foam! 😀Great product and Service!
Nice toolboxes, the backwards compatibility is a great feature. The boxes are a little too big for my little hobby shop so I do not need to worry about „accidently“ spending money 😅 Keep up with the great videos. Greetings from Germany😊
I am a small two man carpentry/construction business and these are very interesting but I think they are a bit too big and costly for me to pull the trigger on…Thanks very much for the review! As usual lots of good info!
This storage system looks very promising. It looks strong and sturdy. Thanks for showing us this system up close. The disadvantage of the weight is the same for Packout. Its so heavy even without any tools in it. But if you get a mini ramp for your van, it will certainly make it easier to just roll it in rather than take it apart and lift it with your own hands. I bought a ramp on Amazon for about 200$ and its sucha back saver. I made some dollies for my packout drawers and thats the way ive been rolling.
I would say that the ideal place for that would be garage or workshop environment. I have the dewalt t-stak system, which is ideal for taking to jobs. The tough system is, as you say, a little to heft for job sites... as usual fantastic content, well presented.
Horses for courses, I made my own rolling trolley to hold all my Tstak draws, I asked Dewalt for something like this a few years ago as it would really work in my work situation in a school which has level access throughout, only downside is the price, work buys all my tools and they’d never stretch to this amount. 😢 keep up the good work P
In the last 10 months I’ve bought a Tough System 2.0 kit including both sizes of the insert trays with ShadowFoam, 2 x Milwaukee rolling bags and a Nanuk 935. If I buy this DXL, the weight will be useful, as I’ll get hit over the head with it 😂😂😂😂😂 It’s a beautiful system though, never say never 😉 I’m a maintenance engineer, I’m often in schools, office blocks leisure centres etc. where there are flat floors and lifts too, this would be perfect. I hope they bring out the flat top for the Tough 2.0, it would be great for filling in my paperwork on.
You learn something new every day didn’t know that Stanley own Black & Decker as well as Dewalt. Impressive build quality love the interchangeable and seals icing on the cake
Love that system , probably the best so far , wouldn’t fancy transporting it all time but could use in the garage I work at and just roll around , love the shadow foam layout need to start saving and try to convince the wife I really need another tool box , wish me luck lol
