'Creme de la resistance' I really like. The 1st two pieces, the small lensed kaleidoscopes are beautiful. The little brass one, as Tim rightly said is impressive because indeed it is quite tiny.. The optics on the baseball one did look good though. Perchance the sphere is some kind of optimal shape for these things? I have always been fascinated by kaleidoscopes. Thanks Tim! 👍
The baseball kaleidoscope is by David Kalish. I have actually met him in person before and his Kaleidoscopes have excellent optics. They are a little pricey but they are definitely extremely precise and have excellent visuals.
hey tim, ever see the light diffuser from lcd tv/monitors? it is a WEIRD material that can bend light in weird ways including completely hiding an object that is behind it, i would offer to send you some from a big screen tv but you're across the pond i think, shipping would kill me but if you can get a broken tv, please take the screen apart and salvage some!!
Could you please let me know where you got the kaleidoscope that you can put the straws inside and the feathers? I use kaleidoscopes in the classroom and would love to get one of these for many reasons!
The one at 4 minutes is called the Pentakis Kaleidoscope. This is the one item from this video that we actually sell in the Grand Illusions shop. We are out of stock at the moment, but hope to get more. You might be able to get one from the AHA Gallery in Switzerland.
I noticed the sunglasses in his breast pocket and was like "ok, he has to use them for something". Sadly, that wasn't the case. Also, the cream of the crop and pièce de résistance mixed to form cream de résistance :D
These videos have kept me sane for many years
Créme de la résistance! Nice.
Wonderful, i love Kaleidoskop's. I can look the hole Day in to it. Thank you for showing us! Greetings from Germany, to You and your Team! 👍✨

…well Disney is known for risqué designs at times 🤣
😂😂😂same.
That last one is fantastic!
3:44 Oh boy, that looks like a...
a kind of toy not likely to feature on the show
"Where does he get those wonderful toys?"
Marvellous devices.
Can we all agree that Tim is all our granddad
You know I’m right hehe
My grandad killed himself by putting a granade on his jaw and unlocking it
Good stuff as always, Giles.
that fourth one is a Disney licensed one but still had some fun shapes despite the link
I haven't played with one in a long time

Kaleidoscopes are quite hypnotic or confusing to look at sometimes
i don't even know how you are still alive
The hands look like they're from a Cyriak video
epic

I have walked by many of the toys and things Tims shows off and they never look as valuable as they do when Tim shows them.
