I hope he becomes the face of the Washington Nationals. I attended Friday’s game versus the Marlins, with a Mexican flag(Hispanic Heritage Day), where he hit the inside the park homer. We were near 1st base, where He acknowledged the flag during the game around the 5-6th inning, pointing to flag with his glove, maybe even helped his mojo, and was able to get his autograph after the game near bullpen. As luck would have it, my friends and I got couple drinks outside stadium, and on our way to the car, we ran into Joey and his family/friends outside stadium. Dapped him up and got a pic. And wished him the best. Epic night.
@@axelrenteria699 thank you sir! As a Nationals fan, it was hard seeing Juan Soto go, but it was a blessing in disguise seeing a Mexican come up and make an instant impact. There hasn’t been a Mexican player shine with the Nats, so as soon as I saw Joey was from Culiacan, he had my full support. Nemeses makes me really proud for what he’s gone through and where he’s at. The least I could do is show my support to a fellow Mexican every chance I can. He will be the face of the Nationals next season.
As mexican, Meneses is taking his MLB opportunity, becoming a paradigmatic Player for Mexico's Baseball. In this country an outstanding Player is named "Un caballo" or "un caballón" literally, a horse, a workhorse, a big horse. Therefore Sinaloa State people combine "caballo" with "Joey" for cabajoey (it reads as khabajoie) an inusual word for telling a Name plus a designation.
When you propose your wishings for permanency 4-5 years in MLB to Meneses, are optimistic; for a 30 year old rookie from México his motto is "here and now". He is taking his MLB opportunity and he's outstanding now.
I don’t think he’s gonna be the league mvp but I do think he will be an all star. He doesent walk a lot but he is very selective with what he swings at and his knack for opo hitting is something that I think will keep him in the .275-.300 range for a few years.
Wow I didn't know you are a fortune teller and predict what the players are going to do in the future, I say hell yes his game can be sustainable I don't see why not, do not underestimate players
Pues.desde hace 6 o 7 anos el deberia estar MLB pero los directivos de granes ligas preferian subir a otros.! Desde que lo conosco.gran jugador de calidad.! Merecido !
Look what he’s doing in the world baseball classic now! Go get more Mexicans from Mexico. Not all the talent is in Cuba Puerto Rico or Dominica! Mexico is down the street !!

Great video, bro...
How did this guy stay stuck in the minors till he was 30 years old? He was a pain in the ass for the Braves all 3 games of this last series.
Freddie freeman, ryhs Hoskins and Josh bell blocked his position on teams he played in the minors for
