Cri Bu omgggg yessss thank you so much I’ve never seen anyone else acknowledge this for a while I thought this was all in my head lol. I think they honestly shaped a lot of my music taste and It broke my heart when they changed formats.
Man this was my childhood honestly KTU shaped a lot of my music taste. October 2006 was the worst I can remember it as if it was yesterday. I was a kid who had bad insomnia so I used to stay up every Saturday night and listen to the entire Saturday night dance factory and this one Saturday night right after someone’s set ended at 3 AM the format completely flipped and they started playing songs from other stations that I didn’t particularly like. Little did I know I would never hear that program ever again, nor what I hear some of my favorite DJs until years later which didn’t even last anyway. To this day listening to any song played on ktu before 2006 would make me super emotional. I don’t know why but I had a really deep connection to the station. Thank you for posting your sets online and making it live on. Side note but I’m still angry about pulse 87 being taken off too. Oh wait I just thought of another thing. What time did you come on? I don’t think you’ve ever spoken on air so I don’t even remember you :(
Did you even recorded or something? Like how did you get these songs from this radio? I’m wondering if you recorded while playing this radio at the same time?
I used to bring a radio to the station and record the shows while I was on the air. Sometimes my dad recorded them for me at home when I wasn't able to do so.
Have to disagree here. There was a reason Evergreen (or whoever owned the station at that time) decided to do what they did. But in my opinion,103.5 will NEVER have the energy it did when it was HOT 103
