Dude. I was too young to go clubbing and even with getting a fake ID, it was obvious I was too young. I was 15 but looked even younger. I didn't know anyone who was able to hook me up so a lot of times I just pretended I was clubbing at my home when tuning onto KTU. One day I was hanging out with my much older cousin who was into trance, house, techno etc. He and his friends were pre gaming by listening to KTU. They were getting hyped as hell. Then my uncle decided to drive them to the club so they can get there before 12am (because I think it was free before then or something like that). I joined them for the ride. We listened to KTU on the way over to what I believe was Sound Factory at the time (it became Pacha for me when I started going around 2006). Needless to say, it was fucking PUMPING. I remember dropping off my cousin and his friends and seeing the crowds lining up, hearing the beats from within the club and everyone was ready to fucking dance the night away. My uncle and I drove off and I couldn't sleep because I was so fucking envious. It bothers me how much I missed this era of dance music. I truly believe it's not the same now. There's definitely a lot of cool things out there but it's also just simply not the same as back then. We weren't so obsessed with boosting our social media and gave more energy and attention to each other.
All of these KTU mixes make me SO PROUD to be from the tri-state! What a monumental time! I was 17/18 in 2003 and I used to have so much fun going into the city and dancing my ass off all night, 100% drug and drink free. didn't even need 'em!
Gosh I remember listing to this and I remember going first to the clubs in Jersey's first and then hit to Sound Factory until Sunday 12p, leaving Factory looking like a Zombies from taking X gosh those were crazy days and I will always remember my time partying hard from 1998 until 2009, also don't forget about Pacha from 2006-2010 crazy fun time, I miss those days!

Exit. SF. Limelight. Tunnel. Unfortunately those were peak years of NYC house scene that today's gen won't get a chance to experience. Rudy cleaned up the city and with it the nightlife as well. At least will have the memories.

There are still clubs like Cielo, and others in Brooklyn that play what we like. Wish I could go back I’m time. But I still party.
It’s a shame that this died out, But I understand changes are part of life when it comes to fashion music and technology. But it should’ve remained solid and found anything to keep it real in all states because since 2011 !
Trance got so popular that I speculate: business interest took hold and started pumping out cookie cuter trance, using vocals like Cher, Madonna, etc. I remember back in the day Trance often didn't have much vocals. Take Platypus Label for example, There was acid trance, probably too fast and raw for those needing lyrics to related to music. But that stuff was powerful.
Excellent upload, can't compare the tech house every one groves to these days to the deep dark music of those days, this was my usual warm up before heading down to Twilo.
