The editing to put the combos along with the highlight of where you are at must have made editing this single video so much longer for a slight change but it is so greatly appreciated.

Having the VA-11 HALL-A music playing while you work on the combos threw me for such a loop but I’m absolutely for it
VA-11 HALL-A is so cool. It took me a couple minutes of wondering "hmm, where have I heard this before?" to figure it out but its so good.
The music going in sync with CPU's combo around 11:49 to start the theme was super cool.

ryu is more complex now, but at the same time is still easy to play the basics, AAAND he does a LOT of damage, its gonna be a good year for ryu mains
The combo content potential in this game is legit insane. There's so many different routes that just work, and I've noticed a lot of the time you're not sacrificing TOO much damage by varying your route and confirms, so they really wanted to give players the ability to have a little combo freedom without feeling obligated to be optimal all the time.

Brian, you should watch the Bafael videos on Ryu and Luke in SF6. Waaay more comprehensive than the guide you used in this video imo.
Just by playing against level 8 CPU Luke you see how much more complex Ryu is.

The coolest combo I’ve found so far is
cMk xx DR sHk sHp xx DR bHp qcbHp lvl 1
Once you do the heavy fireball launcher you could end it into lvl 1, or do another DR sHp xx DP Hp lvl 3
After H.Hashogeki lv1 I like juggling into raw OD Donkey Kick. Horrible meter efficiency, but it looks so sick to me! 😅

Sorry...had to do it, but I know this helps the newer players, so it's all good. It works because your jumping attack and their hit-stun are moving in the same direction and you end up on the other side of them. You're effectively pushing them into your landing spot. True since Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior.

How much different are the controls from SF5?
In my experience, not that different for both pad and stick. Macros focus on mp+mk (drive parry) and hp+hk (drive impact) for controller

Or better yet, I’ve never played street fighter. I play NRS games.
My question is, for people like me who our street fighter beginners but not fighting game beginners, what control set up should you use? I’m looking around it seems like modern controls are quite powerful. And I have seen people that are competitive players using them. Some say modern controls are broken/game busting.
These are just things I’ve seen, I don’t actually know, that’s why I’m asking. There is a lot of information on this game and it’s a bit overwhelming.

what is xx - Cancel ? how i cancel with ps4 controlls pls help new player here
Some attacks are allowed to cancel their animations into other attacks. This is performed simply by inputting the second attack as soon as the first attack hits. I have always loved how cool Ryu is, but after a short time playing him he feels too basic (as he should be, after all). Now I'm trying the demo and he's a ton of fun, he has so many combo routes and the old man hits like a truck.
I love the hardest difficulty on street fighter games. They make you know if you're worthy of playing ranked match or not.
Coming from anime games, why does Street Fighter use crMP, QCB+MK, etc. instead of numpad notation?
It feels much harder to read and also less universal, as it uses English prefixes that not everyone might understand.
That said, I am really enjoying the combo structure of SF6, especially the drive rush extensions! Adds a lot of depth.
Just Capcom notation pal. Some prefer numpad notation, others Capcom notation.
Same with using
Jab, strong, fierce
Short, Forward, Roundhouse.
People use what they find comfortable and grew up with. Convention for SF has always been Capcom notation
I personally find it easier to read than what people use for games like skull girls

And that improve from there. Cuz level 8 CPU is nowhere near optimal either.
