The last great 15 round war. Qawi was on the downhill of his career and evader was on the way up. Qawi is so underrated. Props to your channel for keeping the old fighters legacies alive.
❤
Qawi Camden legend 💯
Pound for Pound one of the greatest fights ever
Indeed.
Dwight Muhammad Qavi is a OG warrior. He is a legend. He is no joke
Dwight Qawi is a legend💪
Obviously
Sur
Saad Muhammad seemed really afraid of him. The 2 bouts were terrible beatings.
Being an ex fighter myself from Camden NJ.,home of Qawi Braxton.
He was an inspiration for me during those days .I used to get up @5am to go running and had the pleasure of meeting him at cooper river park where most fighters ran the 5.2 miles around the park, that's where I met him ,also met Rocky lockridge who defeated Roger Mayweather to capture the title in the featherweight division.Good times.great memories.
Whoo!
This fight ranks within one of the top ten greatest fights, preserved on film, of all time in any division, not just the cruiserweight division.
I never get tired of watching these two boxers, for years and years
Quawi was shaking off Hollyfield's punches like he was getting hit with a feather duster..
Yeah. But second fight, he met an even hungrier Holyfield who just destroyed him.
This is a really great fighr, an all-time great fight, probably the best cruiserweight fight ever. The Cruiserweight limit at this time was 190 pounds, about the same weight as most heavyweights were up until about the late 1950s. So Holyfield and Qawi were big enough to hit very hard but also fast, athletic, and able to fight at a great pace for a full 15 rounds. Yes a real gem from the past.
Big fan of Holyfield. Never heard of Qawi. Thanks. I am barely 30.
same for me,......but older than you
Man today's boxers would have veen destroyed from a fight like this. Just look at the sheer amount of punchers the two fighters took
You will never see a fight like that again unbeatable both men so fit
Thanks for watching!
Your likes, comments, and reposts are the greatest form of gratitude for us!
Good stuff 😁✊🏼😎.
Thanks 4 the posts
Braxton always reminded me of frazier he was a bad man but he beat my favorite light heavy Matthew Franklin so I didn't like him.
Can u make a full biography of muhammad qawi
What an amazing fight... thanks for posting
One of the GREATEST FIGHTS OF ALL TIME!!!!
5:23 qawi entered the matrix🔥
Qwai is a true legend a real champion a BEAST
forgot all about this fight. thanks for posting...
Man !!!!!
Both are warriors!!!!
By the way “Qawi” in Arabic means strong !!
He was really strong
Yeah
Thank you 🥊🥊🥊
Please make a detail video on Qawi's background and about his boxing career and where is he now like you made on other great boxers. Love this channel. ❤
So height isn't always a dominant factor when it comes to fighting.
Watch Qawi (in this clip) beat Saad Muhammad soundly in two fights. Saad seemed so afraid in those fights.
Height is often a detrimental asset in fights. Strength speed and weight are more significant aspects. Height just so happens to correlate with weight most of the time and so does Strength. But these things are changeable.
Only if you make it! Both have advantages and disadvantages. Bigger the person, averagely more power when using body mass behind punches but less mobility and sloppy footwork and wind… Top heavyweight boxers are 5 footers like Him, Mike, Rocky Marciano, Tommy burns, Sam Langford, James lights out Toney, butterbean, Roy jones, Archie Moore…. Just improving power, speed, strength, endurance and importantly skills will take you far
And confidence and willpower
mostly wit heavyweights
No wonder boxing is one of the roughest and toughest sports in the world like bro going all 12 rounds isn’t easy at all, u gotta put your soul and body in that fight…
This fight was 15 rounds
I saw Holyfield take more solid, full blown power punches in this fight than I've seen anyone else take and not go down. That juice goes a long way.
Juice don't put muscles on your chin. Jealousy is a female trait.
@@augustusmaximus891they propably don't mean steroids, probs just like Holyfield has a large stamina tank and juice as the fuel in that tank.
exactly bruh these casuals be going wild
great job 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome figth with two great champions !
the legendary era of boxing!
Qawi 5'5 foot dynamo.
💪 Awesome video thanks 🖤
2 Warriors
I miss watching boxing on the Wide World of Sports growing up in the 70s/80s.
One of the best, closest fights in the history of boxing. Completely opposite styles, talent and grit and guts on display at their best.
Damn Qawi life is something else man his upbringing
all respect to this man🫡
13 Brothers all felons, Damn He had to fight for his life every day as a kid
Qawi is a legend
This is the fight that let me know the heart and chin that Holyfield had
Outta do a full one on kowie. Such awesome fighters.🐸🍺🔪🔥
The sweet science hasn't and wont ever be the same since the late 80's......
Classic Fight Dwight was Nice
That intro: Former Prisoner Dwight Muhammad Qawi
Imagine having powerful blow that the referee disqualified you
What a battle two brave warriors out on the kanvas
Pode colocar dois lutadores que por esse combate viraram lendas do boxe
big respect to qavi
That was a fight.
Great fightwith Qawi who also had a great against Mike Spinks. Holyfield vs Mike Spinks was one they should have had but didn't. I think I'd go for Holyfield.
Pretty good fight. No hugging, just punching. Lose a pound a round. I need to go about 40 rounds. Damn thyroid.
❤❤Enjoyed
Qawi was the hardest puncher in business for his weight. This match should have been declared a draw. Both were great worriers.
Ooh imagine a prime Mike Vs Evanjuicer, he looks like a tall & very broad shouldered SuperMiddleweight
y'all fanboys forgot Douglas was tuneup for a signed holyfeild/Tyson fight
@@musicandboxing7370 Man, you st00ped! Nobody here said anything about a fan boy of anyone and Holly was found to be juicing. Where are you confused?
@@musicandboxing7370and yall Tyson haters forget he partied with Bobby Brown all night before the fight and he neglected his training. Buster came in the best shape of his career. If Evander had this much trouble from Qawi in the 80s Tyson would had merced him. Don't get me wrong Evander was a bad Mutha fucker but he wasn't ready for Tyson in the 80s
DAYUMNNNN 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Qawi's chin looks ridiculous
DIOS MIO
2:39 thought that was Paddy McGuinness lol
How do you knockout them dudes?
That first fight that ended on a d.q for Holyfield was b.s
Grabe ang layo na maxado ng caliber ng mga boxer today kesa noon ang titibay tlga nila
💥💥💥💥💥💥
EVANDER'S "CLAIM TO FAME!!!"
That sports era was rough and tough across the board.
Que carajo comían esa gente antes, DUOS MIO QUE CLASE DE PELEA
Why was the punch illegal, i ask before even viewing it and listening to it where it’s at in the clip.
I’m just gonna say what everyone knows but won’t admit. Evander NEVER DID ROIDS!
Lou duva wasn’t the legendary trainer George Benton was the mastermind trainer, these boxing channels have to get their facts right. People need credit for the hard work they put in.
Qawi underestimated the toughness of Evander. Qawi felt his experience would give him the edge over Evander.
Rocky Marciano was the same weight as these guys most of the original og's too I'd give the edge to Rocky someone needs to invent a holodeck
Qawi said that Holyfield was on steroids.
yes because he was
He was
Hollyfeild,.top 3.all.time
Yeah. He's indeed Qawi wish mean strong in Arabic language. Punch from the first minute to the last minute. Our generations have missed a lot... I have just heard of Qawi today in 2024... didn't know a boxer like that existed 😂😂
Skin shift Deji vimmaculate drip
Qavi should have won that match. Altho Holyfield gave a good showing, he didn't beat him decidedly.
カウィ体格なら、ミドル級まで体重をさげてミドル級チャンピオン狙った方が良いと思っていた。ハグラ―以上のタフネス&パンチ力でチャンピオンになっていたと思う。
So 15 pounds lost that’s a lot in one fight
🤜🤛
first time i ever heard of qawi???
Bro lost 15lbs in a fight 😭
0:25 that was str8 BS and everybody knew it
Man, this guy fought much better than Tyson.
Qawi ㅡislam
Hollyfield ㅡ??
He don’t stand a chance a Muay Thai who kick trees as part of training lol 😂. If I was a boxer maybe I should trees too 😂
15 lbs!!!!!!!
Woooow I never new Holyfield got robbed like that in the Olympics
I don’t believe he lost 15 lbs in 45 mins
Screw my head back when you done talking
Evander was ripped off in the Olympics, he took it like a man, but it’s not right!
The picture color are different from the original. Thumbs down 👎
Promo sm
Yall commentators are so amateurish! Really! Oh Qawi never walk forward without throwing a punch. Bullsht!😅 i just watched him move forward without throwing a single punch 👊
He's a perfect e ample of steroids..? Let's be honest, he would have been great but steroids made it fair probably in his mind
Bro where’s the Terence Crawford Vs Errol Spence video you only show love to the older boxers
Qawi is clearly at a disadvantage when it comes to reach, an obvious observation. Evander can’t have been that great or Qawi is the good one. Didn’t detail study it, i boxed some in my youth but i’m no expert.
Aoooo boring …back to mua thai
Dwight "The line of Durin would not be so easily broken" Qawi
Qawi can smesh heavyweights these days
Qwai WON THAT FIGHT WTF HE TOOK A KNEE QWAI DID NOT
Great shit!!! CMD 🫡
