WHAT?? the whole thing?? i’ve been fascinated by the one clip of it for so long, such a lucid and candid Brian being on camera is crazy rare. easily the best video collection of this band on the whole internet, infinite blessings ur way *•*•*•*
A group of people with real knowledge and a calm interest make this one of the best Brian Wilson captures. Brilliant post. The DIY production of this modest show ends up adding to the charm.
Brian looking at his watch gets me every time. I love how as soon as Dominic Priore turned up Brian just couldn't be assed any more, as soon as Art Fein said goodbye to him and wished to see him touring somewhere soon Brian was just like "okay" and just walks off 😄 I understand that Dominic Priore was clearly incredibly nervous here to meet Brian, as most of us would be - and he did well to hold it together to be fair, but the kind of questions he asked were just straight over Brian's head, especially because he was so flustered as he asked them, Brian just got confused. A question to Brian has to be simple and concise or you won't yield an answer. Tbh he has no interest in talking about production when at this point in his life it was virtually beyond his understanding due to technological advancements. Besides, Priore is an egotist and Brian could see that a mile off and didn't want to give him anything.
Priore sure comes off as a bit of a douche, in this and in other docs i've seen where he is one of the talking heads who apparently knows eeeeeverything about brian. in one, he actually makes fun of brian's voice during brian's snl/mike douglas appearances. gee, what an admirer.
@@marguskiis7711 nobody has ever denied that. But that was in 1982/83. And then Landy went way, way too far until 1992. He had controlled every aspect of Brian‘s life and his finances, didn‘t allow him to have contact with his family including his daughters and brother Carl, became his business and songwriting partner (which doctors are not allowed to do and which led to Landy losing his license in California). He was a control freak and exploited Brian as much as he could. He had admitted that he had made sure to overdose Brian with sedatives and heavy meds to control him especially during business meetings. I‘m not at all a Mike Love fan, but he said it right: Brian was the goose that laid the golden eggs for Landy. And if the family and future wife Melinda hadn‘t put an end to all that, Brian would have stayed Landy‘s puppet without free will. Landy had even written Brian‘s first memoir for the most part. Brian later stated he had only seen the first draft but not the final version. All this is documented in memoirs, biographies and documentaries. There‘s a revealing interview on yt where a female reporter interviews Landy and confronts him with the accusations of unethical behaviour and Landy‘s reactions are evasive and he‘s just helpless at the end.
I've heard of some of these guys (that aren't Brian Wilson). Sid Griffin is annoying and thinks its about him. Art has such a tiny voice. Ken Barnes probably shouldn't be there. Who aired this show?
Such a miss match : Brian Wilson with all this charisma and intelligence and these others who I never heard of not did I care to know more about them having seen and heard just a little from them. I just kept moving along until I saw that Brian was speaking. The others were so boring and not especially respectful of Brian. They were lucky to be there it seemed to me.
22:47 for brian looking at his watch

This is my favorite version of Brian, just hanging with the boys and talking about music

Remember when Kramer had that studio set in his apartment lol it's just like that
what a treasure. Thanks, Elora!... And Sid for that tennis outfit.

The guy in the middle looks like Dennis; dressed like Bruce.
i thought he looked like Mike Love, only with hair
@ronfowlermusic - Perfect!
Looks like mike with dennis 60s haircut and acts like mike
@@gigid9606 I agree 😂
A little Keith Moon in there too!
Wow. Thank you for posting this.
First Rock-n-Roll record he ever bought, "Over the Mountain, Across the Sea" - Jonnie and Joe, April 1957... Brian would have been 15. I was 5.
Glad brian liked Queen
Brian was like a robot during the Landy era. I'm glad that Brian was finally free of him in 1992 and glad that Landy died a horrible death.
Landis pretty much saved his life.

Don't remember getting to sample records, but my mom did. They could make recordings in little booths at the record store, before BW though.
Brian Wilson looks great every time no matter how long or short his hair is or with or without a beard
yep all 3 Wilson brothers were handsome guys!
I love the remakes, i love hearing BW speak about anything.
I respect the knowledge level of these guys but LET BRIAN TALK !!!
That
that's Sid Griffin from The Long Riders dressed like Bruce Johnston.
Carl & The Passions was underrated at the time, sounds better now
wow this is incredible - wonder what it took to get him on the show - landy must have been sitting in the corner
How out of place was Brian with these
meatballs ? They did not belong on the same set with him !
Informative stuff! Did anybody ever hear him say what the first Four Freshmen song he heard before? "Day By Day"-
Hope there's lots more unreleased Brian songs from the 80's etc..........
No r&b influence? Listen to Wild Honey, ya jag offs.
I was thinking the same thing! Also, wished they had asked about some tracks from 20/20 and Friends and Smiley Smile. Love You is also quite R&B, IMO.
Wow, trolling someone backwards 30 years impressive
I have it without the watermark and the timer.
I wonder where landy was during this???
Cruising to the bank
Backstage
Is this a snl skit
Brian should've kept the longer hair and beard.
He was so handsome!
@@mamapuma5150 definetly
Queen actually was influenced by beach boys too
Wow.

Genuine fans. I never paid attention to record producers in my teens.
Brian looked a bit like Tony Hadley back then.
Last time I saw Michael Jackson he didnt look Black, as I occasionally say 'who said white men can't dance we invented the moonwalk'.
We love you Brian
