Frank seemed to enjoy the perfect performance of the Synclavier for technical compositions, as much as he loved building fantastically complex music in real-time with skilled musicians. I wanted to tell him, even with the inevitable mistakes that the best-trained band would still make, what a joy it was to witness high-caliber living music on the tight-wire.
I was in high school when Frank Zappa’s first album Freak Out came out, which l liked. I find his music interesting, creative and complicated but a little tedious and unemotional. I am unconvinced he was a musical genius as I heard Frank say himself a few times in interviews.
@@philtaylor5053the comment is fairly true. I do pencil sketch portraits, and the eyes and smile are definitive features of any face. They do look similar.
@@deepindercheema4917 Moon is recently saying that Gail froze Frank's family out, so it makes sense why his sister would align with Nigey. Gail sounds like a real piece of shit these days.
This interview was 2003. Now it’s 2024 and Moon’s memoir is out with a different perspective.

Who knew Doug Fieger of the Knack was an FZ freak!
The Hollywood Bowl show with the Grand Wazoo was my first show as well -- Tim Buckley was first on the bill if I remember.
This show reminds me of the 1980s public access cable channel in LA.
Love that Ronnie book… nice to see the author in person. Ditto Patrice …. The best Tv show I’ve never seen ! This is fein art indeed ❤

What???
What is the date of this?
I'll try and work it out. There are some clues.
The book and the Nigey albm came out in 2003 and 2001 respectively, so it seems this filming is 21 years ago in 2024.
