    I Love how easy this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvAj3godqGAIP5rApM1laH767JGtPG1-h carrier is to adjust from my friend to me taking turns holding the baby! It provides great support on my back too! This has definitely made shopping easier! I always get asked where I get it too!

    I had that wrap and took me ages to do it the first time. After using it for a few days I was a pro at it and loved it. Was so quick and easy, felt like baby just moulded into an extension of myself rather than the carrier being like a separate big thing x

    I love my wrap. I've tried a few different ways of wrapping it to find a cooler one in the summer. Now that my boy is a little bigger, I ordered some rings on Amazon, so I can use it like a sling without tying it. Makes it quick and easy!

    I have loved wearing my wrap with my baby (19 weeks) but I have stopped using it now as she is super chubby and was finding it uncomfortable.
    A trick with the wrap is on the side where the babies face is if you take the material over your shoulder and almost turn it inside out it takes the material away from their face. I'm not good at explaining it but if you look it up you should find a demonstration of what I mean. It works really well
    I'm using a Tula now and I love it its so each just two buckles.
    In terms of what you wear I've read that in terms of layers your babies clothes are a layer each (for example a vest and babygrow would be two layers), the wrap is a layer and your body is a layer also. So I try and keep that in mind when I'm dressing her because I do end up super hot lol x

    Hi, just a wee tip for using the wrap, take the side of the fabric closest to you and pull it down over your shoulder, away from his face. Only on the side he’s facing, to keep his mouth/nose clear

    I love my moby wrap and so does my baby. I returned my carrier because my baby hated it sooo much.

    Had baby carriers they're good if you're trying to do housework and you have a grizzly baby. They're good for winter baby gets the body heat from you so they don't really feel the cold.

    I used the wrap that I got in the baby box. My daughter had silent reflux and found in the early months she would only sleep upright. I wore it around the house while trying to get my housework done a couple of times but like you worried about the material covering her mouth. Although she always looked comfy and slept in it. I wish I had used it more for going outside and walking because always taking a buggy is a hassle especially staying in a first floor flat. She’s 11 months now and I don’t know if she’s too big for it now. But would definitely try it again if I had another baby. x

    I bought a wrap with my last baby and did like it but hardly used it. I'll have the same age gap as you have when our new baby arrives in summer so I'm definitely going to give it another go this time. Feel like it'd be really helpful for getting things done if I end up with a clingy baby that doesn't want to be put down!

    I absolutely loved baby wearing when my little one was smaller! He’s 9 months now and thinking of investing in a carrier but the wrap was fab! I could just pop him in and wear him any time and get things done plus I never felt the weight get uncomfortable. I even put him in the sling when we were travelling on holiday! Fab video thanks for sharing! X

    • @EilidhWells
      @EilidhWells  5 лет назад

      Oh I bet the sling was so handy for holidays! Have you managed to carry him easily until 9 months?? I wasn’t sure how long I’d manage with Marcus as he’s quite big, 9 months is really good!xx

    • @zoeclark3863
      @zoeclark3863 5 лет назад

      @@EilidhWells He's now 21lbs so he's getting heavier all the time :) I managed him in the sling wrap up to about 6 months but I am looking to get a sturdier carrier as like you said, my husband is not keen on using the sling at all either! Sling was amazing for hols, carried him all through the airport, didn't have to take him off through security and then once we were flying popped him back in the sling and off he went to sleep. Just keep practicing with it, use it round the house and play with the different positions you can pop them in and you'll be an expert in no time! They used to have a sling library here in Aberdeen where you can go and try, get advice on carrying and even borrow all different slings, not sure if there's anything like that near you but maybe worth checking out? Will be through the likes of NCT groups. I have an almost 9 year old and this whole carrier thing was completely new to me this time round too! xx

    I think you did well considering you have never used them before. I was put off by the wrap as I thought I would never get my head around it 😂. But they are so handy when you have a toddler. I'm sure Rebecca meldrum used a wrap and did a demo on one when florrie was a baby,and Rebecca was very quick putting on. That's before she started using the Tula. I had a Tula but Harry hated hit. You will be quicker each day you use it. I'm sure with the carrier it will get heavier as Markus grows. Xx

    Really useful video. We have both a wrap and a carrier and I am not comfortable with either yet... Determined to get to grips with one of them at least as it seems much handier than lugging a pram everywhere!

    I loved my wrap...I used one I got off Amazon too for bout £20! I did use it a fair bit but I defo think Ill use it much more with a 2nd baby when the time comes!! My sister let me borrow her red kite carrier but like you i felt it sore on my shoulders when walking for a bit...so wrap wins for me too!! Love your videos 😘 xx

    Baby's can breath the wrap is very breathable it's not like a thick blanket over their face and the opening still at the top! I loved my wrap! Wish my baby wasn't walking and would let me put her in it lol even though I think she's at the max weight now 😂😂

    great video!
    the wrap is great for you and your baby. Not a fan of the stokke carrier (not ergonomic)..
    when Marcus is a bit older and you prefer a carrier you should try Tula or Ergobaby :)

    • @camillecrestani3499
      @camillecrestani3499 5 лет назад

      Tula carriers are great for back carries once the baby sits up on his own, before that moment the wrap is the best babycarrier.

    I had a carrier first time round which I didn’t use all that much apart from travelling/odd dog walk but with a toddler to run about after this time i definitely want to get more to grips with baby wearing this time! A friend of mine also said you get a sling in the baby box so holding out to try that. I have an ergo from before and def found the sore back thing too! I’m also thinking of going along to nct Glasgow sling meet to get a bit more advice on fit and they let you try out and rent different slings/carriers/wraps.

    Mabe contact a babywearing consultant, you could emprove drastically how you tie the wrap. Your husband could also come with you and learn how easier it is than we think to tie a wrap.
