    I Love how easy this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvAj3godqGAIP5rApM1laH767JGtPG1-h carrier is to adjust from my friend to me taking turns holding the baby! It provides great support on my back too! This has definitely made shopping easier! I always get asked where I get it too!

    What a great demo and what a cute model! So funny that when you put him back in the Snoo it was like he began commenting on what you were saying about the next wrap as you put it on. You were so clear about your experience of the advantages and drawbacks of each one. I have the Boba and it is flexible, so I guess that is why you wore it on the plane. But the K'tan looks so much easier. The Lillebaby is great for shopping, hiking or anytime you want a bit more heft between the baby and the world outside the wrap plus you can turn the baby to look out or put the baby on your back. It's just more of like driving a Land Rover instead of a VW Beetle. I think you've helped a lot of people to pick what they need, choose gifts, and to see the need for a wrap when you have to accomplish things and still keep an infant safe and secure and comfy.

    I loved the solly baby wrap when my bub was really tiny, it's so snug and comfy. Now that he's bigger I prefer a structured carrier, also for the ease of use. The wrap is still nice though now that it's getting colder where I live because it offers more protection from the wind and cold, and I can put a sweater or cardigan on over it. Tried a sling once but didn't like it at all. Definitely recommend trying out different ones!

    I purchased the Lille baby carrier because of you. I love it!!! In the beginning I was using a moby wrap which I really liked but my son started to become chunky and I stopped being confident. I needed a more structured carrier. My son is now 7 months and 22 lbs. Definitely can’t hold him all day long without a carrier.

    I use the ergo baby 360. It goes on just like the lille baby. I really like it.
    I also have the boba wrap, tuck and bundle wrap, and ktan. I love the boba wrap the best of them all. The tuck and bundle is just like the boba but it's a breathable material so it will be great for the summers when the boba is too hot. Tuck and bundle wraps are not very stretchy though which is why the boba is my favorite.
    I never really used the ktan. I got a size or 2 too small. It was very uncomfortable and not stretchy at all. They say to buy in the size you were pre-pregnancy so I did. But I gained a lot during my pregnancy and have yet to lose much so it never fit. Money down the drain. If it fit I wouldn't have purchased the tuck and bundle

    WHY DIDN'T I BUY THIS CARRIER EARLIER?! Seriously?! I had to wait until my baby girl is 4 month before I grabbed myself together and threw all that hand-me-down carriers from relatives (some of which were very expensive!) and got Lille Baby one. Not only it is so lightweight and comfortable but also so easy to use! My baby loves it! Thank you, Kayla, for suggestion! I am watching your blog from my pregnancy - so useful! ❤️

  • @katjacornucopia
    @katjacornucopia 4 года назад +2

    Thanks Kayla, just wanted to mention that it is not advised to have the baby for hours in the carrier, unless they have fallen asleep of course :) and these jersey fabric carriers are meant for the newborn stage. As soon as the baby is a bit heavier, the fabric provides no support for the baby's back, as well as for mama's. If you plan to use a wrap in the future, look into a mai sling, it is a mix of a wrap and backpack. And when the baby is not as tiny, wrapping a sling gets not as scary.

    • @b4village840
      @b4village840 4 года назад +2

      Not advised by who?

    • @katjacornucopia
      @katjacornucopia 4 года назад +1

      @@b4village840 doctors? The baby needs enough time for free movement, to explore its body, enough tummy time. And a lot of people don't wrap the sling correctly, which puts the babes in the incorrect and non-physiological position, or choose a structured kangaroo carrier from birth, where the baby's hips are not in the M position and the baby is not firmly pressed to the mom's chest, which puts a lot of stress on the spine and increases the risk of developing hip dysplasia.

    • @b4village840
      @b4village840 4 года назад

      Most carriers now a days are deemed safe by the national hip dysplasia institute I highly recommend purchasing a carrier with their seal of approval. But you are correct in that there can sometimes be user error. The baby in this video, for example was not being supported knee to knee and could have had a deeper seat especially in the SSC. I agree we very much have a container culture in the US but babywearing is not the same as having baby in an exersaucer or bouncer. The baby actually uses the care giver's body as a tummy time surface and makes microadjustments as the care giver moves and is therefore getting full body stimulation enhancing development. It is also working on babies vestibular and proprioceptive systems and can help to regulate furthering cranial nerve integration....so your "doctors" are not up to date on the research, which is not surprising because many pediatricians have no training in the benefits of babywearing whatsoever. There is great research out there on the benefits of babywearing for both caregiver and baby. You have highlighted user error which is why I recommend people finding their local babywearing educator or support group. The center for babywearing studies is a great resource. You can even search for a local educator. CBWS.org I'm also certified in the TummyTime!™️ Method for infant development. Tummytimemethod.com And Tummy Time is definitely important. On a blanket on the floor is the place to be if you are not being carried for sure.

    Just curious, why is Riley still in her crib instead of toddler bed?

    • @shelbytaggartreads2739
      @shelbytaggartreads2739 4 года назад +2

      I’m not sure about Kayla’s reasoning, but my daughter is almost 2 and still in a crib. I plan on keeping her in the crib for as long as possible (until she knows how to climb out). Once they’re in a toddler bed, they can get up on their own and have to have more discipline about falling asleep without getting up repeatedly. A crib keeps them contained and makes bedtime WAY easier.

      I own all 3 and I'd say for me the Lillebaby is the easiest on my back, especially with the lumbar support. Like Kayla said, the wraps are nice if you're gonna be sitting, but if you're gonna be doing a lot of walking I'd definitely recommend the Lillebaby

  • @b4village840

    So glad you have found carriers you like. It's unfortunate that you did not find success with a ring sling. I encourage viewers the find a trained babywearing educator through CBWS.org for help with learning an optimal way to use carriers for babywearing. There are so many tips and tricks to make using a carrier easy. A trained educator can help you figure out what type of carrier will work well for your individual body type and meet your needs and expectations.

    My 3 months old daughter hates baby carriers 😭

    • @yyhhsss
      @yyhhsss 4 года назад

      Hey mama, my baby hated the baby carriers too in the beginning and would scream for a good 5 minutes every time I put him in. But after a few tries (didn't want to give up because I need to get things done around the house) he was starting to get used to it. And now a lot of the times he can even take great long naps in the carrier. So don't give up, just keep trying for a few more times, sometimes it just takes some practices. Good luck!
