Instagram - AdamTheWooATW I understand the point of safety but it’s odd when I take the same exact things thru TSA on every flight and wear pretty much the same type of clothes and randomly I’m chosen to be massaged down thoroughly. Wasn’t sure if I should have given the agent a tip after and was allowed a cigarette.
Those exams are totally random. My 70 yo husband had one, and so have I (done by a woman TSA agent) even checked for gunpowder residue on my hands. They are required to do those more thorough checks everyso often. You were not targeted.
What an exceptionally awesome pilot! It’s so refreshing seeing an amazing pilot speaking to you guys like that - your travel vlogs are some of my fav (Halloween is my number one fav lol)
Welcome to the Big H!!! Our home sweet home. A mosquito infested swamp, but we love it (although husband wants to go back to Florida already.) I see the Astros hosting the Rays for a three game series this weekend. Go Stros! Hope you have a good time. I suggest Los Tios for some good Tex-Mex.
The pilot was rather entertaining when leaving LAX. When my girlfriend and I left Ireland a few years back, security and customs went very smoothly. When we left Vienna a couple of years later I was "selected" for a detailed search by the locals at Vienna International. When you travel abroad just be ready for anything. Be safe my friend!
I love it when you show the safety pamphlet and the flight number or whatever is on the card because so far many times, it has been my birthday date. lol. Just a synchronicity. :)
Weird lingo fact: you were flying nonstop to Houston, which is different from direct. A direct flight makes one or more stops along the route without changing planes, while a nonstop flight travels directly to the destination without any stops.
The pilot was so funny! I actually had the pleasure of meeting Captain Sully when he flew with US Airways who I used to fly with a lot nicest guy, safe travels Adam looking forward to your Houston vlogs 😊
@@MelikhaCreated Sadly I was not there. I live in Germany, but I saw your creations on Adam's video, then he showed your company name and I went and looked at your Instagram.
The Houston Airport has that cute little people mover down in the basement that takes you to the different terminals. The number of Dr.Pepper machines alone, is impressive. It’s pretty cool to think, Adam use to travel around and live in his an, now he flys everywhere and drinks Starbucks at the Delta Lounge.
Welcome to Houston, Adam! As others said, it’s getting hot here but it’s similar to Orlando weather. It may be hot but thankfully you missed all of the rain we had earlier this month.
Hope you enjoy the Rays game this week in Houston. Hope you get to do the tour of the Houston ball park. I just did that tour in May and it was amazing.
Wow! Some pleasant send offs to you courtesy of the LAX TSA! Nice! Love that you are in Houston!!!! I have so much love for that place!!! Safe travels, have fun!!!! 🤘
Welcome to Houston Adam! It does look like the Astros are playing the Rays. You will enjoy Minute Maid Park. Plus, we have lots of great places to eat.
Enjoy Texas! I love LAX. Used to go in all the time when we took my grandma to her flights. And that cool building was built back in the midcentury. So it was built in that MidCentury futuristic style. It was a restaurant. I always wanted to go there. My dad used to take us down to those roads at the end of the run way to watch the airplanes take off. It was awesome. No St. Marteen island but still a rush!
Adam, Check out the "Subway" people mover at the Houston airport. I believe it is the only commercial operation of a Disney designed people mover outside of Disney property.
You had an amazing pilot!! You could actually understand what he was saying and giving yall tips on the views. Wow. As far as tsa any amount of sweat or fat pocket is going to make them pat you down. You can expect it in larger airports where you have to park, shuttle and all that before your gate. I call it the pre flight work out lol. It can still happen with pre check but at least with pre check it's totally at random. A lot of women in the plus size community hate tsa pat downs but I look at it as a free massage. 😂
If your boarding pass has SSSS on it you’ll be selected for extra screening. At least then you can prepare yourself, a splash of aftershave, eat a mint, that kind of thing.
Maybe you should have asked the TSA agent if you should turn your head and cough!? Laugh out loud!😂 Love the videos! Keep it up. I love this airport. Very cool. I'm watching now. I like it when you do videos with your friends. ❤ Have a great day.✈️👨🏾✈️🛫💺🌍
I always had the inconvenience of getting patted down. Every single time! It was very annoying. I got TSA precheck and now no more pat downs. So worth it.
31:48 that car was most likely the winner from the Houston art car parade. It's a parade of heavily decorated wacky cars decorated by individuals to showcase in the parade. Its an interesting sight that's for sure.
Adam we had an interesting experience with TSA from CVG to MCO on my daughter’s Make A Wish trip. She has a feeding tube and at the time was on 24hr feeds. They had to swab her feeding bag which holds her formula and pump. They had to do a similar pat down of my wife who was holding her.
Im Australia you dont have to remove shoes unless they jave metal in them & many airports sre transitioning to detectors that don't require you to take anything out of your bag. some have automatic full body scanners at security for all passengers to go through as your bags go through
As a former airline employee thought I'd let you know about the correct terminology. "Direct" flights include at least one stop before you reach your final destination. No stop flights are called "Non-stop" flights. I know it's confusing. Enjoy your videos, Adam!!
He's not talking about direct flights he's talking about connections vs layovers. Not the same things. You usually don't get off the plane during a direct flight and your aircraft and flight number don't change. Direct flights are usually done to take on more passengers or refuel. Connections are an actual change of plane mid-journey and the wait between flights can be short to moderate. A layover is also a change of planes and the wait between flights can take hours, usually long enough to justify getting a hotel room so you can get some sleep which is why it's called "layover". Layovers do not have to take place over night though. Any long wait between flights is a layover. Many people choose to sight-see in a city if their layover takes place during the day, especially if the first leg of their journey was overnight and they were able to get some sleep on the plane.
In any case he's using the term "direct" instead of "non-stop" which is a common verbal mistake by passengers when they're taling about a flight with no stops. @@Floridafanatic28
We have an actual train for when Houston scores a home run high up on the stadium glass wall with an actual train conductor who runs it. It's an amazing sight.
Apart from a little morning action 😂 your flight experience went pretty smooth which is good. Wow that car at the airport looked amazing 😍 You will be back in SoCal before you know it - not long now until your big day 😊 xxx
Dude I'm pretty sure I went through that same area at LAX where the door was beeping and that was like 1 week ago or more lol Your pilot was very cool with the little introduction, ours told everyone to shut up or we aren't going anywhere LOL
I looked up Delta’s Sky Club Membership. $1500 yearly for unlimited visits for you and two guests. Not too bad if you fly Delta as much as you do. 😎👍✈️
You need a Clear Plus subscription and TSA Pre-Check. Then you can avoid having to wait in those long lines and you don't have to take anything off when going through security checks. It's tough being a Rays fan as they do like the Oakland A's and get rid of their high priced players for less expensive prospects. Glasnow, Margot, Arozarena, Parades and Rosario to name a few. It's too bad that Maclanahan is out for the year. On a positive note, Rasmussen has started his rehab appearances at Triple A so he should be back as a multi inning reliever this year and starter next year.
I know why you are going to Houston. The Ray play my Astros this weekend and I hope they can beat your Rays! I wish you all the best in Houston and enjoy your Rays games at Minute Maid Park. Just a heads up you can bring your own gallon size baggie of food and up to a one liter sealed bottle water with you into this ballpark. Safe travels to you Adam!
Welcome to my hometown. I think you are staying about 2 miles from my house if you are staying in downtown. If you went to the next door from a114 it would be a113 a little Pixar reference. Global entry includes TSA precheck for domestic and allows you to breeze through when you get back into the USA.
Same thing happened last week at Sacramento TSA. The scanner showed a big red square on my nether-region so the intimate exam commenced. They asked for permission and I simply said "knock yourself out, whatever makes you happy." Still don't know what triggered the scanner to go off, as there was absolutely nothing in the shorts. Oddly enough, also was on my way to Houston...
