It's 100% important to call out bad behaviour. When we talk about health and nutrition it's incredibly important. People these days want quick content that basically tells them bullet points of a whole video without going to the source. This is how misinformation is spread online and I'm glad you spoke about hoe others are using your content and clipping it to show you in a bad light.

I've seen the thumbnails on these videos, and I think people forget that misinformation or fabrication online in spaces like Twitter and RUclips can get people like Dr. Mike in trouble in the real world as he has to be professional in his real and online work given his position in the medical field.

The fact that children might not be able to tell if the food is moldy because they don't know what it looks like is absolutely hugely concerning.

Even if the kid knows how to check for mold the worse thing is there is a possibility that that kid will not have a lunch in school that day
One thing that sucks about the internet is that it’s so easy to take somebody’s words and twist it to fit your opinions or downright change it. This has been happening for a very long time, but in a way it might be worse on the internet because of how rampant it seems.

I think Rosanna Pansino treated your video with respect and used it to support her argument without taking it out of context. She also gave some actual healthy alternatives to things like lunchables and lunchly
I watched Phillip Defranco give some news on Lunchly and mentioning Dr. Mike's video, but he mostly used it as a source and actually did a very good, honest summary of what he said, too. We love creators with integrity

I think another thing that’s fuelling the fire is the fact that KSI, Logan Paul and Mr. Beast are all quite controversial at the moment. People are looking at any way they can to create hate towards them. More likeable individuals like Ryan Trahan and Kai Cenat aren’t as likely for hate. But it’s a sticky situation all round and I’m happy that there is a professional and reliable view on it. Props Doctor Mike 🫶👍

Going on youtube I've noticed i literally cannot avoid this situation in my feed. I dont care about drama anymore on the Internet. We get mad at three figures for doing this but not the company behind lunchables, everyone is posting clickbait content, and getting as much money as they can from any hot take or controversy they can find. I just wanna watch people build things and play videogames :(
The world is full of bad people, all kinds in all walks of life, that is one of the things I've learned in this life. This makes you appreciate and value the honest and good people even more. The most important reason I watch your content is I feel comfortable with the knowledge I gain from it. It's the sad thing about reality, people do manipulate what you say. But the worst thing is, like you said...manipulating someone's word *especially* if there a profession. Leads to confusion, tension, and fight. Hope this situation doesn't escalate further.

In current society where the responsibilities of having a medical license is not respected by both the public and practitioners, with people misusing the credibility of doctors... and some doctors posting misleading claims , its so so refreshing to see that Dr Mike still stands for only the truth
I hate how when someone popular is involved, people just go crazy with the clickbait. After watching one video by a very popular youtuber, summarizing the situation, and one video from Doctor Mike, it's all I needed. But because Mr. Beast, DanTDM, and Doctor Mike, some of youtube's most famous, are very partially involved, there are SO MANY VIDEOS! So many new youtube channels are milking the situation, making like 13 videos, one per day with fake thumbnails, trying to get subs fast. We needed one, two, maybe maximum three videos on this situation to understand it, but I hate how every single commentary channel on youtube is spamming misleading videos with fake tweets. I have seen them on my recommended, multiple per day, nonstop. I hate this part of youtube, and it genuinely makes me so mad. THANK YOU SO MUCH, for finally bringing this to people's attention.

They're completely misrepresenting what you said. What you said was that technically, Lunchly is better for you than Lunchables, but that both are super unhealthy and you should feed neither to your children.

The world of the internet had changed, but on the worst case.
Not only did we have a lot of misinformation, but we also had slop content on RUclips.
Like many cases, cracks are starting to appear from the world, and groups from different opinions will start whatever they are hate or disagree about the problem.
I saw how everyone at my school used to have lunchables, and I felt so jealous. Now I feel grateful that my mom gave me REAL food.

Soooo true, there's always people reducing statements to black and white, either defending or attacking something or someone. There's so much divide and an urge to "take a side" which destroys the possibility of understanding and having healthy debates that gets us closer to the truth.
I honestly think that everyone everywhere should watch this video, because it truly shows how unhealthy the internet can be, and how it encourages argument and anger rather than cooperation and collaboration.
