I was always awed by this bassline. I mean, for a guy of your experience, the fingering isn't difficult, but the rythm and timing, and the fact that you sing while playing this always make me go... HOLY SHIT!

Roger Lima...if you're there...I used to go to every show when you came to Minneapolis to play at the Quest especially. When it was still there. You guys knew my friends Sean, Brandon and his little sister Bridget. I met you once outside you're bus with my best friend when you had just woke up and we didn't know what to say so we asked you the time. lolz. Anyway, I haven't been to see an LTJ show in like 17 years, but I just recently started listening again...life, you know. It 's like finding a lost part of myself. I'm so happy you still have your dreadies, makes me feel better about my own at 40. I am just an anonymous super fan from back in the day who wants to say how fucking good it is to see you here. I hope to be there again to see you live, with my kids when you come back...when the apocalypse is over. You guys meant so much to me for so long. And lately I have been remembering why. You're still the shit Roger.
On top of that, this dude sings at the same time. Fucking legendary. This sunday I see them in Amsterdam.

i used .73 tortex style for like EVER, but i have switched to .60. i think the tone is better, not as clanky and it's tiny bit easier on the wrist! thanks for the comment!

Roger is a beast but why does his bass sound like that almost like it has distortion not a clean sound
it's just a small guitar practice amp that i could get my hands on for this video. the distortion actually helps the notes stick out a bit... i didn't haul my Eden rig with 4 cabinets into the bus/hotel to do these....!
