Not only do they sound exactly the same on record as live, but Rog sounds exactly the same now as he did 20 years ago. You can tell they still love what they're doing
They aren't lying about generations following them. My dad bought a less than jake album for me when I was a teen. I just took my 13 yo son to see these guys in July. My boy plays drums and no other band lights a fire under him like Less than Jake. I've never seen him happier than when he is playing Less than Jake.
I think it’s official that Taylor Guitars has become one of the greatest music channels over the last few years with the bands y’all have been having on. Keep up the amazing work!
This literally was so amazing. I’ve seen y’all play acoustic in Gainesville and it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever experienced. When Roger said you captured your fans as a specific point in time and it stuck, that is so on point, I’ve been listening since I was 11 and honestly your music is what has kept me going and pulled me out of so many tough times.. your shows are unmatched. Love y’all so much
This was fantastic. I saw them in vegas a couple weeks ago for the second time and they blew the roof off that place. I was 17 the first time I saw them and i’m 25 now. They still draw a younger crowd.
Your music is as close to what I would consider my identity in music form. Love your output and passion over the last 30 years. You’ve touched so many lives, no doubt, and it’s good to know you’re still keeping it fresh and enjoy what you do
Less than Jake was the headliner at the first live show I went to in 1997, ska against racism. Saw them again last year at When we were young...been a fan all these years, helped me a lot through my teen years. Keep making music guys!
LTJ is the only band that does it to me, where every single song brings me back to a specific place and time in my life. Sometimes the nostalgia is sad, sometimes it's happy, but it's overpowering either way
How they keep writing original sounding bangers over the same four chords amazes me. Huge love for this band since I saw them in Australia supporting frenzal rhomb in 2000.
Thank You!!! LTJ has been one of my absolute all time fav bands since the week Loosing Streak dropped. Ive always always loved when Roger/Chris do acoustic sets and very much appreciate you sharing this one. Fingers someday they release an acoustic album (read: DOUBLE album). Cheers!!!
Thank you so much for putting this out. Wow, loving less than jakes “comeback” or surge in popularity or whatever, but seeing them in this context is awesome!!!
i love those guys since i came across their music. the only band who can turn really sad and tough topics and lyrics into fun tracks that make you jump around and feel happy......i so hope they release new stuff soon.
American Idle has always been one of my favorites out of their catalog, and hearing it done in this style just hits differently, but in a great way. Awesome performance, and amazing video. Thanks for this, y’all.
They stayed true to their original ska punk sound. There are very few bands left doing it. If your looking for that 90’s early 2000’s sound you eventually venture right back to LTJ. Love that they preserved that sound I can always go back to
I love that I re-picked up the guitar again at 41 come from punk, but I’m not forcing myself whatever comes out of me that’s mysound and it sounds a lot better than forcing a style of music I wanna play
Grew up listening to these guys, this is a real treasure :) I'll never forget reading the liner notes while jamming out to Hello Rockview with my older brother in our room on the boom box we shared. Time really does go fast, we're both approaching 40 now.
Here's a slightly sad story... I'm from Russia, and I remember accidentally finding a few LTJ songs on some music forum, I remember how I liked the songs Liquor Store and Shotgun - it was love from the first notes. I was a schoolboy, and my poor knowledge of English didn't stop me from knowing all the songs by heart, I sang something similar, but I had no idea what exactly they were singing =) And year after year, album after album - all this time LTJ walked with me through life. I picked up their songs on the guitar with great pleasure, I especially loved searching for acoustic sets on RUclips. Neighbors passing by my apartment often thought that a trio of guitarists was playing there. Sometimes it seemed to me that I was the biggest fan in Russia, I remember how I searched for the biography of the guys, lyrics, interview excerpts - and tried to translate all this into Russian. I grew up, I had my own band and we played wonderful ska-punk, and then university, work, a wedding, and life became a little different, but LTJ did not cease to exist in it. Dreaming of a trip to the USA, the main point of my journey was Roger's house-studio. I understood perfectly well that he might not be home and I simply wouldn't see him, but even the slightest hope to see my idol and say a few words "Dude, thanks for your music" - that would have been enough for me. And then one day - I find out that LTJ were supposed to come to the "Kubana" festival and play for the first time in Russia. But unfortunately, I was never able to get to this festival... It was my bitterest failure. I guess I wasn't strong enough to overcome all the difficulties and be there. Today, politics has divided us greatly, but no one will ever be able to break our dreams, and as long as I'm alive, I will believe that one day I will be able to say my "thank you" to the guys from LTJ personally. Peace and love to all!
Love these guys. I never found that group willing to live in the fan, nor did I just write what I felt or enjoyed. I may never be in a band, but I'll always be inspired by this awesome group of dudes.
Ive been to a couple shows and when their set is done im allways sad that it allready ended, they have the best energy and vibe. Its always a party with ltj on stage 🎉🎉
Jude my Son was conceived the night of less than jake show, the particular city was Lawrence Kansas, although I grew up in socal listening to LTJ from 16 on,,,,,I moved to the south and fell in love with a girl who I thought would love your guys live show. We stayed in a cheap motel with my bro and had sneaky sex that night, when she came up pregnant we both knew the night, she even let me name him jude ( not jake, but I tried) but it was an amazing night, I’ll show u a pic of him next time I catch u live, obviously your not gonna quit this ride we’re on. Jude passed away 2 years ago today and I miss him but I’m watching this acoustic set and loving it. Thank u less than Jake for 30 years of wild nights.
Man Gainesville rock city got me teary eyed!!
me aswell !!
Not only do they sound exactly the same on record as live, but Rog sounds exactly the same now as he did 20 years ago. You can tell they still love what they're doing

This is so awesome to hear.
Chris and I worked together on a song for my daughter's 16th birthday . She is now LTJ ride or die!
I got my youngest brother into them in the early 00's. Now I'm taking my nephew to a show next week.
I love this!! - Nate
I'm 44 and still loving Less Than Jake every album. My son is getting into you guys. Regards from Mexico. Hope one day could see you here
Less Than Jake is something else man. Their songs always make me feel nostalgic and happy.
Chris and Roger voices harmonies have always been LTJ’s secret weapon. So unique sounding, love it.
Really dig this. Makes me feel like there should be a Less Than Jake Unplugged album.
PLEEz @lessthanjake
Yes!!!
There absolutely should be!!
Yes, but they’d have to bring Vinnie back for that.
You guy’s went from my AIM screen name in middle school, to still one of my favorite bands as a 32 year old. Thank you guys for still jamming
LOL I had an LTJ themed AIM screen name too...almost thought I was the only one
Hearing them like this makes me realize how lucky I was to grow up in the 80's/90's. Such a special music era
Just hearing these two voices singing together makes me happy. What a band!
Seen these guys live more than any other band, they always bring a great show, can't wait to see them again. 🙂
This band, these guys, are the soundtrack to my life. I’m a fortunate man.
Roger is honestly on the Mount Rushmore of artists that sound 100% (if not better) live than on the record...
Two of my favorite people in the industry. Chris and Roger are always insightful and hilarious.
I think it’s official that Taylor Guitars has become one of the greatest music channels over the last few years with the bands y’all have been having on. Keep up the amazing work!
🙏
their voices are still holding up. thanks for making me feel less alone growing up guys x
My fav band. Seen them live countless times- their energy is unmatched. But now definitely want an entire acoustic album ❤️❤️
Love for ltj is unreal! So raw and pure ska punk I hope they keep sticking around
This literally was so amazing. I’ve seen y’all play acoustic in Gainesville and it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever experienced. One of the most underrated talented bands out there .... Love this performance and love these dudes!
Thanks for having one of the best acoustic duos on here. Love this band and especially when they play their songs this way
Playing acoustic you can really hear how great their harmonies are!
Met these two a couple of years ago after a great show in London. Nicest guys to talk to. It’s up there with one of the best nights of my life.
“Listening to the soundtrack of my life”. Literally. LTJ 🎶🤘🏻💖
American Idle is sooo good! I’ve always loved that song
This was fantastic. I saw them in vegas a couple weeks ago for the second time and they blew the roof off that place. I was 17 the first time I saw them and i’m 25 now. They still draw a younger crowd.
I've seen LTJ 25 times going back to the 90's. I've always thought of their musical vibe as Desperate Optimism.
🤯

The best harmony pair in punk.

How have I not seen this yet??? Another amazing beautiful performance, god I love these guys 💓
American Idle has always been one of my favorites out of their catalog, and hearing it done in this style just hits differently, but in a great way.
Awesome performance, and amazing video.
Thanks for this, y’all.
Brings back memories of seeing them at the Hardback for the first time.
Love this ! One of my favourite bands from back in the day doing an acoustic set. what a gift!
They stayed true to their original ska punk sound. There are very few bands left doing it. If your looking for that 90’s early 2000’s sound you eventually venture right back to LTJ. Love that they preserved that sound I can always go back to
Love the cheeky Dm chord in the verse of Soundtrack of my life.
Thank you guy for 30 years of making my life much funnier and happier!
I love that I re-picked up the guitar again at 41 come from punk, but I’m not forcing myself whatever comes out of me that’s mysound and it sounds a lot better than forcing a style of music I wanna play
Im taking my 2 kids to their first punk show for LTJ in Buffalo in 3 weeks.
Grew up listening to these guys, this is a real treasure :) I'll never forget reading the liner notes while jamming out to Hello Rockview with my older brother in our room on the boom box we shared. Time really does go fast, we're both approaching 40 now.
Please release an acoustic album🙏🙌

I'm about to see LTJ live for the first time at Denver Ska Fest 2024. I've been listening to this band since 1998
30 years and still going strong!!!!
Love these guys. I never found that group willing to live in the fan, nor did I just write what I felt or enjoyed. I may never be in a band, but I'll always be inspired by this awesome group of dudes.
Just saw them in Boston again. Amazing live band. So much fun. Hope I can see them again soon
Just awesome! I could watch this all day and night.
Damn that was good. A band I've loved forever and haven't seen enough.
Best live band ever. I will always remember Ska against racism at the edge
I remember listening to them when I was 14. Now 34! 😅 gotta love the ska scene!!

These guys harmonise so well. They've gotta be BFF's
I knew about and listened to Less Than Jake back in the day but the lyrics hit a little different years later and that sh*t is crazy
Roger still sounds so good. They both do, but man his voice just sounds so clean, crisp and on key. Man.
Man I agree, I only discovered LTJ recently but I couldn't even tell which songs are from those 25-30 years ago from his voice
What album is American idle off of
