  • Having a strong observability strategy helps DevOps teams improve reliability and reduce resolution time, resulting in faster velocity. With OpenTelemetry, the second largest Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) project, development teams get metrics, logs, and traces delivered with a collection of tools, APIs, and SDKs as an open and portable standard to generate, collect, and export telemetry signals. In this session, we’ll demonstrate the power of OpenTelemetry instrumentation on applications running in Google Cloud to solve common use cases like application performance monitoring (APM), service-level objective (SLO) monitoring, and root cause analysis.

This is one of the clearest presentations I've ever seen on OpenTelemetry. Thanks for a great overview and especially for the practical advice on deployment and migration approaches. Hats off to Mike and Josh!
