@adventureedit5776 When I first got into throwing mini jigs, I threw a lot of different brands/companies! I'm not saying those brands are bad baits, but you definitely see the different styles of craftsmanship from various bait makers. GSF products are top tier, and you can tell he pays a lot of attention to detail when it comes to his baits. Plus, we are a fishing community, and I much rather support small businesses than some of these big corporations! Nothing wrong with throwing what makes you comfortable this is just what works well for me, and I can stand behind the product and the business making them!
@johnmach4985 I use the 4lb "Black" color but I've also use the "Blood Orange". I'd recommend the Blood Orange as it is much easier to see your line after you cast it. But I run the black because I like the way it looks on my reel. Color doesn't make any difference.
@adventureedit5776 This also ties into the weight difference. The katana rod weighs under 2.7g and the elixir is 3.3g. The phenix elixir and mirage are excellent I own several. I do feel a difference in sensitivity when it comes to the rod. Katana you can feel the slightest bump and that sometimes is the difference in hooking up! But you can't go wrong with the elixirs still a dang good rod!
@adventureedit5776 Vanquish is 10g lighter, so for me, throwing a mini jig sometimes for 10 hours a day just makes it that much more comfortable. The biggest thing also is the gear ratio. the vanquish is 4.4 compared to vanfords 5.1 l.Everytime I turned my handle, I bring in 55cm of line compared to the vanford 64cm. Is it needed to mini jig absolutely not the vanford and many other cheaper models will do the same job and are superb reels. I just choose to buy the cream of the crop because I do it every weekend!
Nice job bro! Always looking forward to your next video! 👊🏼😎

@dadof2girls909 Thank you for the support bro! Tight lines.!
Last question haha, what made you gravitate to GFS mini jigs over something like the TRD tiny ticklerz?

Can you explain why you would choose the katana over the phoenix elixir?
