Hopefully we wont be seeing many exploding batteries on the Galaxy S20 series :P This is a video tutorial on how to replace the battery on your Samsung Galaxy S20.

This is why you drain the battery below 20 or have the battery die to reduce risk of fire.

You can use a Bass pick (thicker than a guitar pick) in-place of the card. it's easier to wedge around.

I had my Galaxy S20 on charge for a few months without using and when I checked it the screen is black. When I try charging, it has nothing on the screen at all. I tried holding down the power button and low volume button same time for more than 30 seconds and nothing happens. I tried holding down the power button and high volume button at the same time for more than 30 seconds and nothing happens. Even if the battery is dead, should it power on if I have it plugged into power? Any idea what the problem is with it?

The phone lose its water resistance property after open it?. If its true where can I find a waterproof adhesive to replace the one that was on the back side of the phone

yes if you buy waterproof adhesive and put properly it should continue resistant
I know you must be a connector guru, However the hard part is getting over the big question about removing and rejoining these CONNECTORS, You can easily damage a connector or its mate. How the connectors goes together would be very insightful. You know, does the particular connector/s click snap or press together. How to make sure they are lined up properly etc. Obviously there not common connectors and most people are not trained in connectors or electronics and consequently are afraid of them.
What is the thin film behind the battery? accidentally scratched it up a little bit when trying to lift the battery

Does changing the battery improve the battery life, or the phone as a whole is old and weak, and thus, changing the battery does not matter?
i just with my hairdryer burned couple of pixels on my display. Unbelievable i didnt point to the display more then 10sec on low heat. It must be that my display already suffered by constantly being warm from my old battery...im so nervous right now, it would be better that i payed to the service 10e to replace it, this way ill probably need to change display for 100euros
Oh no. That is way too much. I'll mess around and screw up myphone. I would rather have a professional do it. Earlier models were much simpler. Just pop off the back and pop out battery. They make it so you have to pay someone just to take out battery. Ridiculous

Hello. I took my phone to a Samsung repair place to have this done. Within 2 hours there was condensation in the camera and the phone won't power on. Why would this have condensation after they did this? No, I did not have this near water. It was charging on my counter after I brought it home.

If you have the phone within 2 years, you can have it done for free under the warranty as Samsung gives you 2 years warranty as standard on their phones

They make it so hard just so u go ahead and purchase a new phone the battery only last about 2-4 years then that's why most service plans are usually 18 months or 2 years basically its a revolving bunch of B.S. smdh no wonder because these phones are like too the point of u really don't need a new 1 anymore I mean they do everything as is smdh the game is ridiculous we constantly shelling out money for a phone smdh 😒 😤

Don't you need new adhesive behind the new battery??
That is a very good question. I'd have to see the phone open, and apart and be able to test movement of the battery WITHOUT adhesive to really judge that. What I can tell you is that I would never trust the adhesive on the cover to hold well and make the phone 'waterproof' again once it has been compromised. I used to work in the cell phone refurbishing industry.
@@jazzcatt I used non electrial condutive adhesive tape to hold battery and itworked very well

I used to work in a cell phone refurbishing company 10 years ago. A lot of the time you flat could NOT get the screws out. We had to drill them out and after that, they could not be replaced! As for replacing screens, we could buy screens but seldom were we EVER able to find and purchase new adhesive strips. When we could, we found it virtually impossible to be able to remove the old adhesive and get the new adhesive to adhere properly.
I'm sorry but with my experience I say, DON'T try this at home! And, you better find a pro that is very capable and actually CARES about doing a good job for his customers!

If you buy water proof adhesives it won't lose water "resistant", for the best it will improve as you're renewing water adhesives, because they get worn in 4~~6 years

@@rafaelbr3563 I never saw an Apple product that let you change the battery easily. The expense of Apple products and the fact that you couldn't easily pop the back off and replace the battery yourself is why I avoided them for 20 years!
