Great video, managed to replace the battery with next to no problems. Just needed a small enough screwdriver and also managed to do it without having a suction cup for the battery. Thanks for the tutorial, really helpful!
@Mitrix-ze9mp No errors whatsoever, not sure of capacity
how’d you get it out without the suction cup?
@@floppywrld9774 Simply wasnt needed
Hello, what is this liquid in the syringe?
@@rafawojtaszczyk1409 Isopropyl alcohol.
Thank you so much for this guide. My s22 battery just died today exactly 2yrs and I am changing it myself. Good thing you made this video. You got a sub :)
Does that mean the battery life is 2 years max. As mine stopped working today. It became swollen, and the back is already halfway open
@@gamerslounge1445my after 3 years charging slow down now
This happened to me too! @gamerslounge1445
@gamerslounge1445 It is uncertain to know, I can tell you my personal experience. I acquired it in September 2022 and it just died, swelled, raised its back completely (it came out), the autonomy is zero, I no longer turn it on for fear of it exploding. In November 2024 it's over, perhaps they will expire, like all electronic devices. This week I will buy the spare part and change it, it is still a good phone
@el_yucateco bro, it's the phone to have. I really enjoyed using it
Hate to say it but need a link for the battery lol..also got some tesa tape following your recommendation and it is reallly good stuff
Thanks so much for this. I managed to replace my battery this morning. First time I have done it. Used my 3d printer bed to heat up the phone. I didn't use a samsung original battery as didn't know if I would be succesful. If this cheaper battery doesnt work well I now feel confident to buy the more expensive one and go again. Thanks again. I will buy you a coffee.
Brilliant, well done, wicked idea using a suction cup 😊👌
1st timers, DO NOT USE METAL PRY BAR. ALSO BUY THE ALCOHOL he uses for the glue. Avoid placing plastic underneath and praying up, YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR DIGITIZER!!!. Trust, take the extra time and do it the right way.
Too late. But I already bought another phone. Worst case, I'm out $25 for battery
What is a dignitizer
TYVM very helpful my batter was swollen and needed to be replaced found ur vid and then ordered parts on amazon
your video is very easy to understand again TYVM
You are the first man that shows to use a razor blade to open it.
I have seen others doing it with plastic tools, but I could never open a phone with plastic. It chips, it slides but cannot open a phone.
Thank you! I'm actually doing a whole frame, LCD, and screen replacement on my own S22+ (yeah, i really messed up lol), this helped so much in getting the battery out!
Is there a link for the battery?! I must do mine at home. Thank you
Awesome tutorial. Helped me out in a pinch. Thanks!
Hello, you mentioned to remind you for a link to the battery as you had not linked it in the description. Curious to know where to find a genuine replacement
I would check out IFIXIT they are a reputable self repair shop that sells genuine Samsung parts.
You made it look way too easy but I get it done. Thank You!
Great help. Referred back to the video and reference to cables since battery seem to work, phone actually rang during charging, but my display never came up. Went back in and rechecked, reseated display cable - no help. Off to the repair shop. (I tried, right?) Thanks for the easy to follow video.
Thanks, the hardest part was trying to get all the connector back on on.
Removing the adhesive is actually the hardest part...need to do it properly or the cover will snap....tbh i like the older design where we can easily remove the battery since the cover and battery not used adhesive..the phone now is thinner, but most people i see use thick phone case anyways making it similar in thickness to the older smartphone....most devices nowadays are fixed with adhesive, as if they dont want anything in there to be replaced at all so that people would resort to buying a new device when something in there started to go wrong
can you please add links to the tools and the battery you used for this job. Thank you
Nice ..thanks so much ..before this I just used razor n lightly went round the screen several times lol
Excellent Video. Thanks
😁
I just changed mine very good video only thing that I couldn't get to work was the suction cup you can just pry it up with a tiny flathead just make sure to go from the bottom pull up they make it way to sketchy I use my nail for all the connectors don't use metal i wouldn't even use plastic its so easy to wreck the tiny connectors.
Hello Mate, thank's for your content! is there a chance to get the link you've mentioned on which to buy new batteries? thanks a lot
Great job, thanks!
Here's a tip: when you order your battery, order a new back as well. There's a good chance you will break the existing one, and for a few bucks more you won't have to worry about it. Plus, if you have the new one to replace the old one, you will then certainly not need it. It's one of the corollaries to Murphy's Law. If you have a spare, you won't need it.
lol brillant 😅
Any chance you could link where you bought the battery from?
Ifixit
Does it remove any content from the phone memory when replacing the batter?
No
Only your porn, leaves everything else.
Thank you!
It's no longer water tight (water resistant), is it?
Thx Dawg! 🤟
A little late but can I do this if the battery is expanded or should I just take it to a professional at that point?
You can, if the phone works fine, go ahead. That's what I'm going to do, after two years it also swelled up and lifted its back cover
Do you think I can do it by my own with no experience?
I broke the flex cable for the lower signal antenna. I found a replacement kit for the upper and lower antenna modules. Can I just replace the lower signal antenna module with flex cable or since they came as a pair do I have to change them both?? Does the specific pair have to be Installed together?? Thank you!!
If you’re talking about the part I’m thinking of, yes you can
@iDoctorUK where's the link to the battery?
What temperature are those heat mats I don't have one but I could put it on the bed of my 3D printer warm it up to whatever temperature I want
Oh never mind that question I just rewatched the video You tell at the beginning
Where to order a original battery from. Need a resource
if i am purchasing double sided adhesive tape from an electronics store, what am i looking for? What is comparable to the adhesive Samsung uses on it's phone batteries that can be used on a DIY budget? Anti-Static, heat resistant ect. Brand 3M or does it matter?
Also isopropyl alcohol mineral spirits and acetone will soften rubber cement
thanks
The video is great but I’ve put it all back together and the fingerprint biometric is only working intermittently, any ideas what I may have done?
me too
Could it be that it is so sensitive that even moving it slightly breaks its ability to work consistently?
Can you please list the link to the battery replacement?
Is the phone still water proof after this?
I don't think so
No
can you measure the dimension of the old battery? thanks
Where can I get a genuine Samsung Battery? I didn't see it linked in the description
Miss the days when you could just pop the back off
Very nice video and informative, thank you.
Where do you recommend getting the repair tools from?
Can someone send a link for a screwdriver that fits?
My back came over super easy but it was due to the batter doing most of the work.. XD
Why can I not find the link to the battery you used
I will bring it to a shop 😂
What about ip68
Please provide the battery purchase ink in India. Thanks
How they allow manufacturers to make changing a battery so hard is not fair. I know some people will use batteries as explosives but this is ridiculous.
well I managed to set my phone on fire...so there's that
You probably damaged the battery
what a faff, my old Nokia is a 30 second job, my 2 year old Samsung is showing signs of battey heading south so get someone to replace it of get another Nokia ?.
thanks for the good video btw 🙂.
Luckily my battery expanded so much it did the first part for me
Repair booth wanted $100, battery was available and needed 30min. I was thinking of it... $30 amazon.. I already opened it which was easy (battery already pushed the case open). Just waiting for the battery now and need to pull out the battery but this is EZ.
is it possible to upgrade the battery capacity from 3700 mah to 5000 mah?
No.
How much does it cost to have a repair like this done professionally? Is it worth it and what are the risks?
Slovakia 60 €
How many months does replacement battery last???
Not very long. You can only get a genuine battery from Samsung. The replacement batteries sold on the net are 'aftermarket', batteries of dubious quality.
@@MrSloika can it go on for 1yr??
@@AlfalfaTonic There's no way to tell what you're getting with an aftermarket (third party) battery. I've seen some that last a fairly long time and others that fail almost immediately. The only way to get a genuine OEM replacement battery is to take the phone to an authorized service center.
@@MrSloika yes sir I'm going to take it to service center
i think its too hard for me😅 ill just get it replaced😊
Battery buy link is not avail in description
because he doesn't really want you to buy the parts and do it yourself, why would he show you how to fix it and provide the links to the parts and do himself out of business 🤣 These videos are for entertainment purposes only, he'd still want you to go to him for repairs. Hence why he never forgets the buymeacoffee link 😉
@@ReForceofficial i will cry later .... am listening to dua lipa now
Of course not. You're living in the real world now. You have to bribe the answer from him. Hit the link, and buy him a coffee latte with a double shot of expresso. A triple shot would even be better. 👍🏻
Genuine Samsung batteries are only available to authorized Samsung repair centers. The genuine Samsung batteries sold on the net are 'pulls'..used batteries. The aftermarket batteries sold are of dubious quality. I've never had good luck with an aftermarket battery.
I it still water resistant after battery change?
Resistance lost
can i get a battery like this on amazon
Depends if it's available in your area
Do you recommend the upgrade to a third party, larger battery capacity?
70% or 99% ipa?
O meu inchou a bateria vou comprar na shopee pra trocar 😅
This lovely video proves exactly why I'll pay $90 to someone else.🎉
90 is reasonable. Say your phone cost 300 bucks. You can spend that, or 120 and keep using it for years.
@@dontbeorbeevil Totally reasonable for my location, plus I had a $10 coupon. 💜😁
Pls provide a l8nk to the battery
Okay but what if it's swollen?
Replaces my charging port and messed up the antenna cable 🤕
고마워요
I love my s22 the picture and camera but horrible design it shouldnt be this hard to change the battery its like they try to get you not to and everythings so delicate.
Samsung never sold o e m parts to customer for diy repairs
Right, but third parties pull them from old/broken for other reason/"lost" units and sell them on their own all the time.
@@FightYourOwnWar In other words, the genuine batteries are used.
@@FightYourOwnWar
There are third parties that can do thar?
Who and where can I find them?
So where the phone technicians get it from?
@@dannydaallah2509 Most independent phone repair shops don't use new OEM batteries. They are using various knock-offs or used OEM batteries. If you want a guaranteed new OEM battery, you have to use a factory authorized service center.
What kind of alcohol that is?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopropyl_alcohol
Isopropyl Alcohol. Needs to be high %. It essentially evaporates almost immediately after application which makes it useful for working on electrical components. I use it when I work on my computer and when I used to flip consoles
Is it now support ip67??🤔
I wander too...all previous mobile I had replaced batteries in local phone shops they told me that it loses water resistance...
He removed the glue so no.
I used a hammer!!!
...had that battery out in 2 seconds
Bout to do the same with mine, trash phone
Can you please post the link for the battery you are using?
