I kept my original DVD, made ISO and Im happy.I can enjoy Billy Jean every time I start game. Im aware of year 2023, GTA V will lost half of songs and only radio available will be that strange mexican .
@@dzimikes or even better remade with cut features new stuff and fix Ryder in gta san andreas and basically make him not traitor as he was portrayed as, could be killed during the mission to fix him or something, but yep. In case you don't know he was meant to be an ally for the entirety of the game till the end, was changed to be enemy due to rockstar problems with the voice actor of Ryder so they changed his role in the game after los santos missions. So since it's so hard to give him new lines I think it's better if they just kill him during the last mission in los santos or make him disappear.

GTA VCs graphic corruption bug may have been due to DirectX 9.0 [Dx9] which was released only 5-6 months prior to the game's release. The game requirements listed DirectX 9.0 compatibility as a requirement, but programmable pixel shaders were fairly new (pixel shader 2.0 debuted with Dx9). Not all of these shaders were equal, and instructions were handled differently between them - especially when dealing with textures. I would be willing to bet compatibility issues disappeared as Dx9, and the offending drivers, were updated.
What i think happened with the songs is that upon knowing the license was going to expire Rockstar prepared a version without the songs, then it took Valve a few weeks to add the functionality of giving buyers a different version of the game based on purchase dates, then somehow somebody at Sony and/or Rockstar went 'but wait, why not simply renew the song license?', and that happened instead, so when Valve (finally, valvetime style) completed the functionality, Rockstar felt like they should at the least use it, regardless of the different solution found in the mean time.
@@nood1le They actually did it for GTA 4 Complete Edition in May 2020. All of the music that was cut during the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 4 was restored.
I think they just pushed the wrong files to the database, Rockstar doesn't care about their old games, IV gets updates every now and again on Steam (likely related to RGL since nothing changes) but the trilogy is untouched and they removed GTA 1 and 2 from sale too
Both games are almost the same. PS2 version has about two bug fixes but apart from the technical capabilities these two are the same game, it won't have enough differences for a whole video. If he would do a video on every other GTA differences in one video (LCS, VCS and Chinatown Wars) that would be cool to see.
There is a serious problem when games that stopped being developed or patched over a decade ago receive a new update that alters the game in any way. Steam users should have the option to load the original version of their game.

I played the first 1.0 Vice City release on the PS2, the second version on PS2 a whole after and I have the Steam version of Vice City. The only thing I noticed when it comes to version differences are blood and rampages (and one mission for the bikers where you wreck the city). Since I live in Germany and we all know the Germans are pretty hardcore when it comes to censoring back then I never missed both blood and rampages, I could always live without it. The thing I care about is smooth gameplay and controller compability. I needed to cap Vice City at 60fps because it would have weird car mechanics and gravity glitches and a controller can only be used via modding but if both runs well, I'd say the Steam version is the best I've seen yet when it comes to stability, functionality, gameplay and control IF you can accept no blood and rampages (imo). Thank you for this video, was very informative as always.
In green pepper version, the "dont pee in the pool" poster was disappeared.......they have also removed many swearings on the dialogue.....and removed many adult content
PS2 original release from October 2002 or the PC version with mods to restore Lionel Richie's "Running With the Night" and the piles upon piles of files you'll need to restore the original textures to the game since the PC version broke a LOT. Anything else is neutered garbo.
the pc textures are completely fine really. i played the ps2 version and the pc version back in the day and you really dont need to change the textures if you ask me. just crank up the downsampling lol
Numerous buildings have the sidewalk texture or even no texture at all instead of thier correct colors. Some missing textures also caused scenery to dissapear like the flags on the North Point Mall and the shadows inside.

Doesn’t really matter much, when the differences are triggered by an init script, that can easily be edited in the games containing folder, for example in GTA3 you can’t blow up a passenger airplane, the script only allows blowing up the dead dodo, unless you change the “No” to a “Yes,” or visa versa, that goes for any game in GTA series, the animations are in the game but are locked until the script allows them to be used, or forced in this case by the user using notepad, wordpad etc, don’t worry if you mess something up, just delete the entire containing folder, the uninstall, when you reinstall it’ll be back to the default script.

The PS4 version, which is a completely new release, is uncensored in Germany. Oh, and by the way, the first PS2 version was too, if console and game were set to english, which is where the fiasco comes in. As only the edited german version was rated, releasing the version that could be made uncensored to retail was illegal, as only games in their rated versions could be sold. R* paniced, and threw out the edited PS2 version and this weird PC release.

I never played the original, only the mobile port, for now, and didn't know that Ozzy Osbourne's Bark at the moon and it makes me sad that I didn't hear it in the game.
Original Double Disc Pack with exe version at 1.0 is the Ultimate Vice City experience, why? simply, because fixes done with asi mods: namely bugless 60fps, PS2 Trails enabled, proper widescreen support and many many more...

GTA 3's steam version is great in my experience. I didn't have to downgrade it or anything like that. obviously grabbing silent patch and widescreen fix is a good idea though.

for mouse fix just go to gta inside and filter vice city mods only and search mouse fix than after downloading it just past the file in game folder and your mouse starts working

Fun fact: the Mac App Store version of the GTA Trilogy has recently been deleted from the Store. It can now only be bought through Steam and lacks the music.
Wow I was so confused at first because I literally bought the game on steam 3 days ago and I've definitely heard (and been singing along to) all of those "cut" songs. They must have re-purchased the rights to the music. They probably took the game down until they could reacquire the rights and then put it back up.
They didn't reacquire the rights because the mobile version never had them patched back in and the re-release of the Haitian-Friendly PS2 version cut the songs out.
What I just don’t get why would they go out of their way to detect the save format and add an error message instead of just implementing the reading algorithm for that save format.
I remember when I played on PS2, I chased the intruder that the police were going to beat, after he was dead and even kicking him, I received "Good Citizen $50", now in this PC version, the last punch that will kill him is no longer to give the $50

You can fix this using the "Skygfx" mod, by enabling backfaceculling option

for mouse fix just go to gta inside and filter vice city mods only and search mouse fix than after downloading it just past the file in game folder and your mouse starts working
VC has more versions than Blade Runner.

Fun fact: the Mac App Store version of the GTA Trilogy has recently been deleted from the Store. It can now only be bought through Steam and lacks the music.

Wow I was so confused at first because I literally bought the game on steam 3 days ago and I've definitely heard (and been singing along to) all of those "cut" songs.
They must have re-purchased the rights to the music. They probably took the game down until they could reacquire the rights and then put it back up.
They didn't reacquire the rights because the mobile version never had them patched back in and the re-release of the Haitian-Friendly PS2 version cut the songs out.

@@NazarenoGerez probably pulled a sneaky one on Sony saying to them that they "removed" the songs with copyright problems but in reality they didn't
What I just don’t get why would they go out of their way to detect the save format and add an error message instead of just implementing the reading algorithm for that save format.
