    Loved you and your explanation of the Griffin reticle . I think Primary Arms should thank you as well . In the universe of scopes and optics, there are a collosal number of variables and variations. These differences can create many challanges for the consumer, especially those who may be new to the optics world. Lpvo. Red dot . Holographic. Prism. Fixed power etc. ... multiplied by mil verus moa measuring systems ..Seems overly complicated .. I from personal experience have spent hours upon hours , days of my life all added up , trying to decipher what i should and or buy . I didnt want to waste money on something that didnt perform well , and just ended up on a shelf in the basement . Anhow , long story short . I think my quest for the best optics all around , considering all the factors involved has ended here, because of you i will most likely be a Primary Arms man for my optics and the Griffen 1-8 glx will be my first from them. Id like the plx but will start with the lesser model to pop the cherry 🍒. Tx again . Finally, i can in a sense, move on and finally be committed to a scope or in this case a company .I can disconnect from the net for a bit. I can finally get out on the range, and into the woods, the places where, i really should be .😊

    7:52 Really appreciate the video and walkthrough, just want to confirm one thing, isn’t this reticle set for meters? So ranging in yards as you do, would take some math correct? E.g. a 5’7” target lining up with the #3 auto ranging vertical stadia is actually 300 meters out = 328 yards. Or am I missing something? Thanks!

    Do you like the Griffin Mil or M8 Raptor better for GP use from bad breath to max effective range of a wpn system. I’ll probably use this LPVO on my 11.5 5.56, but might use it on my 14.5 5.56 or 16 inch .308.

    Why did PA switch their DMR reticles average target height from 5’10” on the HUD to 5’7” on the Griffin?

    My GLX 1-6 shows the height at 5"10. There are many comments on this below. They must have changed the height on the plx for some off reason.

    With this reticle, should I zero my 5.56 AR at 100 yards? Or 50 yards so the mil markers act like a BDC?

    just ordered this optic, would it be best to do a 50 or 100 yard zero?

  • @distilledfreedom1840
    @distilledfreedom1840 2 месяца назад

    So I'm thinking you have a zero of 200 M? Thus the mark below the chevron is now 300? Where as I've zeroed at 100M then it would be 200? Also, I imagine one must be all the way out to 8 power for all this to work?

      The glx is an excellent choice but the glass quality and edge to edge clarity in the PLX compact 1-8 is incredible. It’s the very best scope on the market in my opinion. The length the weight the quality etc it knocks the competition down several rungs on the ladder that’s certain

    This video is missing a fundamental piece, or otherwise it seems worthless, no offense:
    You did not say to what you have zeroed your rifle. How can you use that scope to gauge when you have no idea what is zeroed to initially?

    Average height PA uses of a man is 5'9" not 5'7".... Not picky, but that's what they use....

    • @kotaboy32
      @kotaboy32  2 года назад

      Hey Bryan, shoot me an email at kotaboy32@gmail.com and I'll show you something cool, PA does not have the instructions online yet. They specify 5-7 on the ranging brackets. I'll send you the details.

  • @justins2407
    @justins2407 Год назад

    5’10 not 5’7, PA bases it’s reticles on average height of 5’10. No clue where you pulled 5’7

    • @octurbojoe
      @octurbojoe Год назад

      Some PA manuals have 5'7" for ranging. Like the PLXc 1-8 ACSS Griffin, which I have one myself.

      When you shoot further out nothing is simple

    • @MrTylero28
      @MrTylero28 Год назад

      When you look through it at 1x it’s very simple. But once you get magnification up to 8x you need to be able to use the reticle to get hits out at distances beyond what a simple bdc could get you. The griffin m8 is genuinely the best reticle I’ve found for fast and accurate shot placement. The raptor is also great
