Bran Castle is marketed as Dracula's castle due to its links with Vlad The Impaler (The real-life inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula) Vlad III (also known as Vlad Tepes or Vlad Dracula) is a national hero of Romania for protecting Wallachia and the rest of Europe from countless Ottoman Invasions. He was feared for his brutal methods of punishing his enemies. Vlad the Impaler had associations with Bran Castle; in this video, we explore this incredible castle.
We are also exploring Brasov, an amazing mountain city located within the Carpathian mountains. Here we are exploring The Black Church (an iconic gothic church with walls that have been supposedly stained black from a fire that ripped through Brasov) we are going to the top of Tampa mountain to see an epic view of Brasov, as well as walking from the White Tower to the Black tower to overlook Brasov from all angles!
Finally, we are heading to Peștera Valea Cetății., an incredible cave located around a 20 minuted drive from Brasov. This cave is relatively newly discovered and opens out into an enormous opening, a truly spectacular cave.

Love love LOVE that both of you are doing the voiceovers now. It works so well ❤️ Dracula's castle looks surprisingly eerie, especially when you know about Vlad's history!

Wow... many beautiful and interesting things! I love bears by-the-way; we've seen black bears many times while hiking in different National Parks in US; gorgeous beings. The little dog!! He/she was gorgeous! I was really chuckling during the comfortable Romanian beds explanation. 😂

I was wondering the whole time if we would see any bears, but not this time. Romania is home to brown bears I believe. It was such an unusual concept for me that I need to look out for bears, the biggest wild animals I look out for in England is deer, and maybe a fox every now and then.

Brasov looks so pretty and Bram castle rather spooky with its dark past. Love the UK but also loving an insight into other beautiful countries

Brasov was amazing and so much to do, we spend 2 days there and only explored a fraction of it, I'm sure there are so many hidden gems around here. We'll be back to explore more of Romania soon!

And the Hungarians are original to the Ural region in Asia, they are not European, they took over the Europen land after they massacred many of the previous inhabitants and stole their lands. Transylvania is Romanian land by international law and the people living on it, but yes, it was under Hungarian occupation before that. There are roughly 1 million Hungarians left in Romania today, nothing more, an ethnic minority.
