You're videos are some of the best do it yourself Jeep videos out here. I'm about one year into Jeep ownership and you're videos have certainly helped me along my way. Thank you very much and keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
How are you liking the intake after 3 years now? Ordered this intake after watching your video but am nervous about the possibility of hydrolock since there is no way to catch water in the new system.
Wanted to say thanks for this video bc it is really the only one out there for this model. Was trying to find out an update on how this held up, and if the mpg and performance upgrades remained substantial enough for you to recommend it still. Thanks
Very nice! This and the Flowmaster are very well done. Did you notice a considerable amount of hp and torque addition or just a better sound and mpg? I have done everything to my jeep short of these two things, headers and the super Charger with tuner. Already have 15k in aftermarket on my 2015 Rubi. Of course I lost some of the performance with lift, winch, front an rear bumpers, big tires, talegate swing, wired air compressor..etc,etc. updating to the XRC armor fenders probably weighed it down too, even though it took the big fenders off. Do you think I should put this set up on? I like the rugged ridge shirt snorkel (hopefully that's cold air inducted), and Gibson cat back as well.
Plh7798 Patrick - I notice mostly quicker engine response... the pedal is more reactive. (Plus OMG the sound is addicting). The exhaust snaps mustang owners heads, if you know how to use it... and sitting in a drive through next to a wall hearing the intake breath is so awesome... same here with me. I added the armor bumpers. Both front and back. Added the winch.. lots of weight... and just felt like I had to do something to fist bump the motor a little bit. Love it. Should help your mpg as well. Win - Win. Thanks man! Take care!
put mine on yesterday and followed the video step by step. The video was incredibly helpful THANKS!!! Otherwise No real problems at all except the Air flow sensor was a bitch to wiggle out. Also.. I also put in a adapter on the throttle body and that really created some room issues but was able to gorrila smash that thing in there. SO Far SO Good!
How long does the filter last?. How often or what type of products do you need to service air filter. Please provide details of advantages and disadvantages of this system. Thanks
Most filters are washable. They sell filter oil at autozone that’s you would they utilize to apply to your cleaned filter. I usually clean mine every time I get an oil change, sometimes sooner. Honestly I wash and dry by itself & never had issues. I’ve had K&N, Injen, & Spectre. All have been well
I look at it as an inhaler. I don’t believe you get massive HP gains like most state, I do believe you receive gas mileage assistance and some torque though, opening up your vehicles lungs
Pretty sure they come with all trim levels. Your dealer might have forgot to install, or seller removed. Gotta check into getting that back! Thanks man, take care.
The previous owner didn’t leave me with anything, including the password to the aftermarket stereo lmao. I looked into it and can get one for around $200. Can’t wait to install the cold air intake, thanks for the help, man! Take care.
James Cobian - Thanks man... I got it from 4wd.com.... here is a link. www.4wd.com/p/rugged-ridge-cold-air-intake-17750-01/_/R-BKMS-17750.01 Take care.
No, reinstall the same sensor... the ecu will auto learn the new increased air map and adjust.... Technically you could do a ecu tune after any modification and get more return, but that’s not necessary unless you do major work. Thanks, take care!
John Saenz - you would not need an exhaust... but if you did install an exhaust they would benefit each other... the engine will breathe easier in and out. But not required at all. Thanks- Take care man.
how does it handle water? I cant imagine the air filter is water proof...what if you run into multiple puddles and large splash creates a nice wave and all gets wet under the hood? the stock air filter is sealed and provides decent protection. But open concept like this? whats the protection?
nice install, I hadn't noticed how bad the air intake system was so bad on jeeps. Doesn't look like many places to run fresh air from + stayaway from water
Damian Cantu - seems about even... but also -now- have the flowmaster exhaust... (did a video on that install). Watching results combined. We will see. But hands down, the two of these together is balls out, aggressive. Sounds awesome. 👌
This shit was difficult. Thanks for offending me by making it look easy.
Woah that sounds epic! I don't even care if it's overpriced I want it just for the sound!

Thanks brotha! , I really appreciate it! Take care!... and thanks for taking the time to watch em.
I have a magnaflow duel exhaust and a SNB air intake for my jeep 2017 rubicon.. sounds amazing!
Did the $70 Magnaflow muffler swap plus a tip. Nice now.
90??? Bahahahaha!! Come visit me down in south Texas. 112 with a “real feel” of 119 today and we are installing an exhaust on the Jeep

So how’d it go 😂😅 a year in review

Brian Ealy much appreciated, keep making these videos. They are great for beginners to experienced trail riders.
Hi Brian, do you think they can deliver it for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2.8 CRD Rubicon 2013?
HI! Do you own a JEEP JK? Are you interested in testing our new LED tail lights for it?
I just installed mine today after it my check engine light is on anyway of fixing that?
Get the ecm flashed.

Is there a way to reach from underneath to install the bolts without moving the inner fender? Mine are metal and a pain to remove.
Awesome video! New subscriber here... 🤘
I had a question: is it required to have a v6 engine for this install?
They can be put on any size engine... any make. Same concept, just different location depending on the engine. Thanks. Take care.
Nicely done video. And the end results are great. Def something I'll consider.
M Payette - thanks, much appreciated!
You need a tool to unlock the air sensor. Something to pry it from the lock before you try and turn it
Great video! Thanks for the simple step by step instructions !
I just realized I have no engine cover, were they supposed to come with my Jeep?
Pretty sure they come with all trim levels. Your dealer might have forgot to install, or seller removed. Gotta check into getting that back! Thanks man, take care.

Yes. Mine didnt either but I mean I think its a pain in the ass more than anything.
It was awesome video
Thanks for the video, used it instead of the crappy included instructions. Good job!
Great video 👍👍👍👍
Very good video Question fuel mileage an Perfomance of this bro please
Awesome! Just started following you, seen a few videos! Any chance you can link air intake where you got it? Thanks man
James Cobian - Thanks man... I got it from 4wd.com.... here is a link. www.4wd.com/p/rugged-ridge-cold-air-intake-17750-01/_/R-BKMS-17750.01 Take care.
I want to install one in my slow 2014 jeep compass to get some speed
Are there any sensors or any reprogramming that you have to do for the ecu or anything
No, reinstall the same sensor... the ecu will auto learn the new increased air map and adjust.... Technically you could do a ecu tune after any modification and get more return, but that’s not necessary unless you do major work. Thanks, take care!
You made that look pretty easy.
That’s a nice misfits hat 🤘🏻
Vince Vetro - thanks man! Much appreciated! Made that myself.
Awesome
Looking for a cold air intake to pair up with my borla dual exhaust. Love the sound. You have sold me. I am taking the plunge.
steve martin Is it worth it?
@@gagelaughlin7028 Well I never bought the C A I like a planned. Someday. S..t happens.
More RSX videos!!!
Can't wait till you get to the old cars
Austin Porter - lol, still trying man... I keep getting fed parts and projects.... but one day. The monster will come out of the garage!
Brian Ealy I'll Watch the video when you make it because I'm your biggest fan
Austin Porter - no doubt bro! 🤜🤛 We will always be brothas from different mothas. 🙏
Brian Ealy that's for sure
Would you need an exhaust after this?
John Saenz - you would not need an exhaust... but if you did install an exhaust they would benefit each other... the engine will breathe easier in and out. But not required at all. Thanks- Take care man.
wow nice!
MsLeelee94 - thanks! Appreciate it.

Don't drive through water I guess.
Thinking that engine light is gunna be coming on soon
Why. If it does you messed up the IA sensor or it's orientation.
nice install, I hadn't noticed how bad the air intake system was so bad on jeeps. Doesn't look like many places to run fresh air from + stayaway from water
Quick question does your check engine light come on for the mass flow sensor
any difference in gas mileage?
Damian Cantu - seems about even... but also -now- have the flowmaster exhaust... (did a video on that install). Watching results combined. We will see. But hands down, the two of these together is balls out, aggressive. Sounds awesome. 👌
yeah saw both videos definitely getting both for my jeep
@@BrianEaly So now that you've had the flowmaster exhaust and the air intake, what have you noticed peformance wise and mileage wise?
Thank you. Watched your video for help. Turned out awesome .
