This explains so much! I have 17 farmers in my village, and I did notice I've been getting consistent extra-drops of +9 or even +12 while farming. Def thought it was weird that I was ending up with SO MANY crops - I planted 50 of each crop from all 3 biomes on day 1 of the DLC (many of which yield 3-4 per crop), and I ended up making 4 large chests for crops alone lol. So I guess that's probably why? It's like all the extra drops are tripled from what they used to be.
I do wonder if this really is a bug though, or if they just changed how the stacking of professions works. It honestly wouldn't be too far fetched imo. Like, most people don't have THIS many villagers assigned to the same profession, so maybe they thought that if someone goes through all the trouble of assigning/converting everyone to the same profession and giving up the bonuses of diversifying, then the benefits SHOULD be great?
Actually just counted, and I have 18, not 17, in case that makes any difference. It seems like single-crop plants give me a consistent +4 bonus drop now, while the ones that yield 3-4, give those +9s and +12 I've been seeing before. So yeah, it's definitely a x4 multiplier think. Not that I'm complaining of course, just trying to figure out how this bug/new behavior actually works (:
Note: plant pineapple - it's the eternity isle version of pumpkins and VERY LUCRATIVE right now because gardeners are yoinking 4 per pull

@@SilverEars20 Yeah! It feels like it's selling for more than the pumpkins did, but that could just be the bug coloring the results!

@@SilverEars20 After eyeballing it, I think pumpkins sell for just a LITTLE more when you look at cost vs. what you get back, but it's negligible - still worth it to grow pineapple in the wild tangle since it's got the grow bonus there and it'll keep you in coins while you're out on the Isle

I have 12 crop/harvest buddies. I just did a test with one & for every 2 pumpkins I harvested instead of getting a one then two extra, I'm getting a one or two & a four increase.
I have a lot of gardening buddies because I find it the easiest way to level friendships and I've noticed I'm getting more from harvests after the update

i feel like everything is a little broken right now, archivments for enternity isle pop up randomly and the drops the devs already know about too and so much more
If you look at the bonus description little pop up in the bottom right it says something about "all characters with this bonus something something" while on eternity Isle, maybe this is what it means
Already subbed and I liked the video. I have been playing ddv all wrong. I thought the professions were only affected by who you were hanging out with. So I've been trying to balance out the professions among the villagers. I need to start changing that.
I noticed it with my crops after I sold my pumpkins, I was like that was more coins than I remembered... pleasant surprise lolll I'm going to try and take advantage of it for as long as i can until they fix it
At a glance it seems to be giving you a random number based on the irems you get multuplied by a tandom amount up to the number of Buddies you have in that Catagory. So its like taking each Villager in that catagory and 'checking' to see if 'they' give you a bonus item. If the answer is yes it then calculates 'their' contribution to the total. And does that for all of the Villagers you have assigned that activity. I wonder if it still does this. I think I have a LOT of Fishers and Miners.
I have 19 Gardeners and same thing for me, I got over a thousand pumpkins by planting 390

I get a Plus 9 on all my gardening!! My pumpkin money is unstoppable!!
19 farmers, a pumpkin patch of 100, I harvested 100, my helper gave me an additional 636 👀
I also did a smaller sampling of 4 other crops of 4 plants each of you want those numbers too
I have 12 gardeners and am getting +4 pumpkins now, which is nice. Def making more $!
I just wanted to say I love your content and appreciate the time you take to make it for us. Thank you for it. Also I have noticed that my profession for goofy changed. He's my fishing buddy but he has gardening. Also I lost all my dreamlight, I had saved up since the beginning of early access. I have only 900 left. I woke up one morning and it was gone. Also another glitch I get very often since launch is I could be standing around in Eternity isla and all of a sudden my missions get completed. At one point my daughter and I made a game of which one would be the next mission to be done while standing around. I ended up with a lot of Myst.

I haven’t experienced a lot of bugs and I have been playing since day one of the game first released on early access. I have been experiencing that Jack Skeleton does not want to hang out with me. At first I thought it was one of his quest preventing me from hanging out but no I have to ask him multiple times to hang out before he will finally say yes. Usually he give the stop hanging out emote. So yeah, not that annoying just weird but I can live with it until they come out with a patch.

I have 15 farmers and I got +4 from them for every pumpkin I harvested, and I had a plot of 500 pumpkins and I got 2500 pumpkins after harvesting all of them with a buddy not including golden pumpkins
That’s interesting. Just tried it out with my mining buddy and before I would get +1 or +2. Now I’m getting somewhere in. Either +1 or +4. I have 13 mining buddies.
14 gardeners harvested 150 pumpkins sold 787 to is close to double what I was getting before the update

Pumpkins is about to be insane
This will be a good op to stock up on iron and any rare gems. I am really early in game because i started over from the beginning i dont have a lot villager roles yet so might make them all miners so they give me lots of iron ore. Im gonna fill one large chest full with iron ore
I was getting 900K to 1 M harvesting my pumpkins and now getting 1.3 M😂
I hope DLV doesn't see this video and decide to nerf it. The more items the better sometimes that's for sure. Especially with all the crafting going on now.
i had a crazy glitch was literally doing nothing and i had dreamlight duties / mist while doing absolutely nothing and i was trying to figure out wat was triggering it and couldn’t .. it was wild

I'm leveling Eve as a gardener. She gave me +4 pumpkins per pumpkin every time. No potions used. I harvested 100 pumpkins and got over 500 to sell lol
The only glitch im getting is No Bass in any of the waters and no ice Shards for the Ursula quest 😅😢

I've been getting huge amounts of the extra fish "bursta" lately whenever I fish with a buddy (I have 4 fishing buddy's) I only get one extra normally, but the red burst throws are happening like every 3 rd time I fish.
I think gardening is amped up a bit too, not as much as digging though

I’ve had loooaaaads of glitches on Xbox. Repeating quests, bonuses and it freezes a lot. But also got loads of extra eternity isle dream light (can’t remember the name of it now wow).
On PlayStation I am not having that happen. I actually have the opposite where my buddies are not dropping anything at all. So frustrating because it is taking me forever to collect resources!

I know you said you didnt need miners but I have 29 miners haha and on the isle been getting between 9 and 16 extra i am not complaining because i will be changing some miners to timebending haha

I also have a glitch with mist duties I keep getting them completed on ones I haven’t don’t like ‘feeding a cobra’ I haven’t tried that yet. I’ll have my game paused and randomly I’ll get one completed while not actively playing. I ended up unlocking ALL biomes in 2 days 😂
i have that glish too, i even thought someone hacked into my game only to realise i play offline.

All mine except 5 are gardeners and I’m just getting the normal drops but I’m also getting normal drops for digging and mining but I only have 1 villager assigned to each, but I am having my mist duties just complete on their own, also have one that says to play scramblecoin with the forgetting but I don’t seem to be able to do that
I sense a "bug fix" in the next few days... lmao

I have 4 diggers and in 20 holes ive got around 150 of each ressources.

I have a hole new problem, maybe you can help me out? Every time I get an ancient core, after a few minutes the game crashes. I in my infinite wisdom saved as soon I got the core and now my game crashes again and again 😢😢

I have 14 miners and i get +4 extra drops without potions, before I get +2,
I have a lot of miners and I get plus 5
I got 4 pumpkins on every other drop 13 gardeners.

Normal, before the update all gave 2 extra and also about half of it gave 3 extra.
I harvested now about 700 pumpkins with Mickey and he gave me 4 and 9 extra. No idea why the difference but I collected in total 5200 pumpkins. 700 I harvested and the rest I received from Mickey.
