What is shadow work? It is probably the most controversial theme discussed in the psychological circles and all of those deeper into their spiritual work. It is needless to say shadow work can get confusing and the term shadow work doesn’t bring much clarity. Today I will tell you what shadow work is. Due to the term shadow work, one can easily conjure all kinds of dark and sinister things. Many of us think it involves dark spiritual pratices or maybe a process that involves negative and monevolent aspects of the personality. But this isn’t the case. So what exactly is shadow work? We are born whole, but our wholeness is short lived because we are also relationaly dependent as children. It is natural as babies to need others for support. We are born with this dependency into a family that will socialize us into a society that is too young to understand we are at the early stages of development and haven’t reached much past the ego, you can imagine this will cause trouble. They will teach us that some aspects of ourselves are loved and accepted while others are not. What is acceptable or not acceptable about us really depends on the perspective and mindset of the family we are born into.

I’m working on my shadow work now. I’m healing from pain and mental health illnesses too. I went down a very long dark road, but tbh RUclips videos from different videos has helped me bigtime. I can honestly say ive learnt a lot and being on this path of slowly improving myself day by day im proud and grateful 🙏 for who ive become today. You can heal and grow from your mistakes and pain and trauma from the past and get yourself to a much stronger and better person. It has taken me years and years to get through my past heartbreak and trauma. Thank you 🙏 father god for blessing me and helping me heal slowly to the feminine i am today. Love conquers all, especially loving yourself first. You can not love another person until you spiritually love yourself first and do your shadow work etc. Heal yourself first before anything and then see how much your life changes rapidly ❤💯☮️☯️💜🕯️✝️🕯️🙏👼👼✨🌱🧘‍♀️🌍💒🧿

"Shadow work" means improving one's own bullshit part of their behavior and character. Helps to have others to help you work through it because they "see" is. Most people get defensive and reactive at some level when their character is communicated to them, so shadow work is extremely difficult and requires a stable mental state, and openness, and usually a life situation that required certain traits to come out.

Even if some are not going to like the way you develope, I still recommend it to you because for the first time since I was a very little girl I finally feel free. And no it did not help me change fast. I had to learn to accept and appreciate certain parts of me that I was taught were "bad". Now I completely embrace them and I don't need anyone to praise me anymore. I am an happy adult woman now, that enjoys her life! You should too (no matter the gender btw)!

I wasn’t able to do shadow work until I met a guy I really liked. I became very fearful he would reject certain aspects of myself and felt I was not enough. Even though he showed attraction to me I felt he would not love me for who I really was. Then I lost him. I was devastated and went within to ask myself why I had felt that way about myself because I normally did not care so much what other people thought of me. I came to the realization that my parents had not approved of my uniqueness and individuality and subconscious I was afraid he wouldn’t either. For several weeks I felt terrible about myself and beat myself up about my insecurities feeling I had no control over them. But I didn’t realize I was doing shadow work. I eventually came to accept myself for who I was and I came i into a state of self love. His rejection was really a blessing in disguise and I thank him for that.

@@Heightofacloud I know you didn’t ask me but, it wasn’t about overcoming it, it’s not a thing to be conquered. It, like all shadow work, is about accepting and incorporating. You could shine a light on why you want to control that which you can’t; why that endeavor will only lead to same cycles over and over.
There is a freedom is accepting that which you can’t control. It means you don’t have to play god anymore, in time you will possibly realize that such energy could be spent where it can produce results that will be better for yourself

speak to it. use active imagination. treat the shadow as the real part of you it is. your shadow wants to be included. it needs to be integrated. talk to yourself and to "it". let your shadow know you want it to be included in your life, that you won't judge it, you won't punish it, you won't deny it, you won't hide it, you will allow it to be- a positive source of power on your life.
in this way your shadow will invite you to it. (as i found out in a dream. it was scary. scary because not knowing your shadow is not knowing yourself-) thus, with time you will begin to know yourself better. As Jung said- the goal is to become a whole person.

Yes, like never before. We have become so suppressed and isolated because the shadow is so dense. Anyone doing this work is making it easier on everyone else. Bottom line, there is a huge disbalance in the way we live. Isolated from the real connection and doing less than ever, we think more than we actually do with our bodies. There needs to be a balance of energies between mind and body. And the solution is movement. Something we cant think our way out of. Even Jung himself understood this towards the end of his life, and actually used movement to release the energies from the body. Throwing a wet towel a few times will release more pent up agression than any journaling could ever do. Shows how much we have intelectualized everything and overcomplicated that what should be simple. Wouldnt be fair on those less inteligent to have no way of reaching the lightness of the body. I believe this is why we do everything we do. Thank you for your thought provoking comment!

"The Godhead is never an object of its own knowledge. Just as a knife doesn't cut itself, fire doesn't burn itself, light doesn't illuminate itself. It's always an endless mystery to itself." Alan Watts (Borrowed from Buddhism) Shadows come in different sizes. The larger shadows are easier to see than the smaller ones defended by our ego. To some degree the things others see in us need some consideration provided one can separate the ego of others in what has been observed by them. It's tricky stuff. Self love must be fortified to be successful in eliminating our shadows.

After 8:50 you kind of pile on with the fate and universe . This is how it can feel and it can even be useful for intrapersonal communication that it feels this way. Use it. But there is no ground for any purpose to the universe or any support you receive from the universe if you do the'right' thing. Up to 8:50 I agreed with all you said. After that it feels like a description of something personal, anekdotal as truth.

I came up to the stage to retrieve it, and you placed your hands on my face and was 🎵 singing 🎶 the Desire part of the song 🎵 while I was asking for my flower 🌹 🥀

Video on connection of shadow work and health is coming up within few days so stay tuned. I am going into depth of connection between emotions and body in a way it brings contractions and asymetry to the body. I will also explain how to finally release this energy. Its not an overnight process, and all of emotions start pouring out. Listen to the body, and if you need to release emotions I suggest you spend more time focusing on how your body feels. Whatever you feel about the ailment is the suppressed feeling that caused it. Just feel the sensations and allow your body to release however it needs to. This video will contain the details you need. Thank you for sharing.

Without the superego/high standards from a family or parents, more and more people would follow a path of crime. Conscientiousness is a learned behavior. So is stealing, cheating, and using drugs/alcohol.

The assumption is that the purpose of this life is to be whole again. There is a selfish motive as well: it feels good to free yourself and take life playfully. Declaring this as the purpose of life represses shame about being selfish. Or aT least this is a logical consequence we see in many seekers. Whatever came up for them must be if universal importance..

I will release the video on strategies and how to release the pent up energy from the body within few days. Thank you for sharing. Really it is about releasing the energy from the pattern that doesnt allow you to speak up more, and use the creativity. The superego holds and embodies the relational trauma. This energy doesnt allow the creativity and expression to come up. I will go into depth in the video coming up so i suggest you subscribe if you havent already and hit the bell icon so you get notified. I have been working on this for some time now, and it finally contains all you need.

I think relationships can shape us to

    • @officialeasytiger
      @officialeasytiger  4 месяца назад

Yes, you are right! it shapes our superego, and superego is the one responsible for how we connect to our enviroments and other people. So when parents, or friends, romantic relationships have treated us poorly, all of this gets stored in the body and held by the superego. Superego holds strings through the fascia and entire body, and often case due to traumatic experience it can even feel like we dont experience life as much as an act of self preservation. Or we can remember how it felt during childhood to touch something and really feel it, while as adults we seem to have less feeling for things, and sensations. This is due to all the pent up energy from superego to the body, dissabling us raw experience. Relationship definetly shape us. People think they fear God but the dont, people project on to the unknown what is known from human relationships. Shows how scary it has been for most of us to feel so detached and lonely because most adults have lost their ability for empathy, and those children who are grown ups today find it hard to give or receive empathy, love, understanding and help. There is more shame around those feelings than there is about objective brutality. Intimacy is something most of us never truly experienced. I am releasing a video on srategies to release the pent up energy from all the trauma stored in the body. Something I have been working on. I suggest you subscribe and hit the bell icon, so you dont miss it. Thank you for your comment Nicole

the shame of this video is that, while the AI-generated text is actually pretty good, the mispronunciations and mistimings of the robotic voice add confusion, which is made worse by the automated supply of changing video images, which are often irrelevant or even contradict the text. I guess we’ll be seeing more and more of this stuff generated by a computer to address real human issues.

Someone, most likely your caretakers didnt allow you to develop a sense of self. Almost being punished or rejected for saying no at a young age. When there is penalty for expressing our anger, we learn to suppress it in order to feel accepted. Develop a habit to ask yourself what to do you really think about something. When you feel anger, listen to it. Observe is as an alarm system teling you something is not how you want it. Then ask yourself what that is, and express it. You suppressed healthy anger. Every emotion has a purpose. Emotions are messengers. Anger is there to let us know we want something to go in a different way. Ask your anger what it wants. And start listening to it. Anger is not bad at all. Its those who didnt like you having a mind of your own that made you feel unsafe to listen to it.

The religious statement.. shadowwork is the only way.. should also be taken more lightly. In zazen, yoga and Sufiism we do not do shadow work consciously. In stead we soften every tension, allow any feeling. This often 'integrates the shadow' without it ever being outspoken. It's just one way to look at it and there are many ways to do anything. This Jesus is the one and only saviour attitude hurtsge message.
