holy cow. That was an awesome video period I can't wait to try this again tomorrow. I've got my trigger assembly all torn apart and can't figure out how to put it back together. This excellent detailed video is going to be very helpful and saving me a few dollars and having a gunsmith put it back together for me. Awesome awesome video thank you
@@myrossirifle Thanks brother! Couldn't figure out why my slide was not moving back all the way. Figured that out but couldn't figure out why my magazines would not fit. I had the ejector a backwards and the spring was not underneath the pin. Thank you!
Huge 10/22 guy and I remember taking the trigger assembly apart and forgetting where I put the firing pin. Now I know a lot more about taking it apart.
I came across a great deal on a 10/22 from a friend that was moving to Florida in the USA. He gave me the rifle for just helping him sort all his stuff and load a little up in a trailer. I was horribly dirty and was not ejecting or loading right. After the cleanup I was assembling the trigger assembly and noticed My Ejector was jammed in and not loose. So i'll have to do a little filing to get it loose in there. Thanks for the video, it was a lot of help.
Eight years later, and I found this video to be the best, most informative tutorial on You Tube. The camera work and angles, to include the lighting, were excellent. I have been struggling with reassembling my 10/22's trigger group, and had almost decided to take it to a gunsmith. Thank you so much for the tutorial and the calmness-in-your-voice presentation. Cheers!
Wow man can't thank you enough....got drunk a month ago and disassembled everything, next day had no idea how to reassemble and every piece went into plastic bags. Long story short, a month later, after multiple shitty videos, I followed yours and was able to put it back together. Thanks.
Wow I couldn’t figure out what I had done wrong until watching your video. 7 years later and still helping people out. I had installed the ejector totally wrong, don’t understand how I even got it back together the way it was. Thanks brother, working good again.
You put this up four years ago and it’s still helping people today. Thank you very much for the information. I needed it badly and with your video, I got it together and working!
Helped me put my trigger group back together after two pins fell out during reassembly on a new 10-22. You went slowly and videos was excellent showing the parts. Bravo!
thank you!! i was so frustrated today trying to put it together. i wasn’t even trying to disassemble everything completely, everything just started to fall out when i took the bolt out for cleaning. this video saved me and made me realize it’s easier than i thought!
Thank you for making this video. Not sure if you’re still active but I really appreciate the help from this video. I watched 3 before coming to this one and thus is by far the best one
Best video that I've seen. Thank you for actually taking the time to center the trigger pack and actually showing what you're doing. Those extra narrative tips really helped. Again, thank you.
The most amazingly useful video ever!!! I never would have successfully reassembled my ruger 10/22 trigger from the diagram and manual. This was a wonderful video. Thank you so much for doing this!
Excellent video. By 9:30 PM I was ready to trash all the parts. Your video denied the trash can it's feeding. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on RUclips with the 10/22 universe. Cheers.
I disassembled my daughters 10/22 carbine and took the trigger guard assembly out. I took the bolt assembly out to clean it. Putting things back together, pins fell out and I was left with a bunch of parts. Thank God for this video!
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!! Wish I could do more than a like! Very understandable and at the right pace. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this video. Funny how those pins like to keep falling off.
Thank you for this video. The Trigger Group can easily fall completely apart when you remove it from the gun for basic cleaning, because the pins are fairly loose. Without this and another video I found online, I would've been screwed. (Even if just one pin falls out, you can lose the spring pressure on the bolt stop/release.) I'm now much more comfortable with my trigger group assembly. And feel satisfied/proud at being able to put the gun back together, instead of angry/frustrated. Note that an inadvertently rotated safety can make reassembly impossible by preventing the hammer from moving freely. If this occurs, just push the safety to the off/firing position, and rotate the safety with pliers until the flat gap is facing up, so the sear can push all the way down. Discussed further in my other post.
Thank you ! You're a lifesaver. Was cleaning my 10/22 when the pins fell out of the trigger assembly,I'd have no idea how to re-assemble if it wasn't for your video. Thanks again!
I bought a brand new 10/22 where they had the safety incorrectly placed (needed to be rotated 180 degrees), but had to disassemble to get to it. Thanks for this video that helped me put it all back together and working perfectly. Thanks again.
OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it made it so we could sleep tonight without worrying about wasting hours of frustration and taking it to a repair shop! thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! I was cleaning my rifle and the trigger assembly fell apart. I don't think I would have gotten it back together with out your help. Great video!
Excellent. I took my rifle apart to clean it and was left with a bunch of parts. Your video is excellent. Thanks for helping me get my Ruger back into one piece!
Thanks for taking the time to simply and clearly explain this... i struggled with the reassembly quite a bit, and this video solved all my issues. Thanks man!

Hey man, Thanks a bunch! This helped me out a lot. Took out my .22 to clean the trigger assembly popped apart on me. Was great to be able to rebuild it! Very helpful video.
Some of those pins falling out on their own can be very frustrating. I wasn't expecting that when I first cleaned my rifle and a few of the other parts parts then fell out as well. 😡 I got it back together though. Thanks for the helpful video.
Great video. Even though I have taken my 10/22's completely down many times I have one from the 60's that has an all metal trigger group and non-chamfered pins that are extremely tight and always a PITA to reassemble. This go round I just could not get the hammer back in place. Even though you did not show it your video made me realize that I had put the safety selector in backwards. Warning to all reading this, unless you have the proper tool, and a really valid reason to remove the safety selector (I was Cerakoting) do not remove the safety selector or you are going to be in for a really bad time. Thanks Rossi.
PPS: A little black electrical tape on the sides will keep the slide pins in place next time you remove the trigger group to clean the chamber. And is basically invisible against the black metal.
Excellent video! I accidentally had my pin fall out that hold mag release and bolt lock and then the plunger and spring came out when I was stripping gun for cleaning. I put back together how you did (had to use needle nose pliers to pull bolt lock out a tad so holes would align); just needed some verification that I did right lol thanks again!
I just bought one today. I took the stock off to adjust the rear sight. Just by turning the firearm over, the pins basically fell out. No tension whatsoever. Then the trigger group started falling apart. I have it all back together except, there is a BIG pin that I have no clue where it goes.
