I love the Icelandic language, and I will study it when I'm finished with my time at the university. And Iceland is actually my no.1 country to visit...
Danish, norwegian, faroese, swedish and icelandic sounds very similar at some certain points. I think you could use (in this case) swedish for some simple meanings, like that one about the stamp. The hardest thing that I can't comprehend in the icelandic language is the "Hv-sound"... it sounds like a K and that really mess things up for me. =P
My Heaven, that's pretty hard for my language skills XD Even if i am good, i am Italian, and my motherlanguage has few sounds in comparison to Icelandic! But anyway it was enjoyable (i discovered some words you mentioned come from Latin!) and i hae to say it's a lovely tongue!

Oh, hello. I had completely forgotten about this video. Yeah, Nordic languages are essentially the same, with minor differences.

Hi! XD...I want to know you...is it possible Princess???
Sorry, meant to say Swedish.
You know, Icelandic isn't really all that different to Sweden. Hvað kostar frímerkið is a lot like vad kostar frimärken?
Takk
